  1. i thought they had spigot bushes and not bearings? my twin plate clutch rattles a bit but as godz said its normal
  2. just disconnect your rear brakes or get some sort of line locker and go nuts but this is generally the order 1) rev it to about 3k (depending on power of your car) 2) drop the clutch 3) get it revving around 6-7k 4) quickly introduce the brake pedal but only do it enough so you dont move 5) look in the rear view to see the smoke billowing out ya ass
  3. i dont know that myself, but if theres a theory behind it and i'd like to know aswell

  6. whenever i do machining i either replace the pads or re-surface them on a huge ass drop saw grinding disc and file the edges so they are not sharp to make sure they dont squeel Could be the problem if ur pads are like bendix ultimates or a hard make up of pad they would still feel yucky my 2c.

  8. im going to be running in my engine on some sort of 'run in' oil for the first 1500 as cubes has done, and run mineral for another 3000k's then start it on better oil. Im not sure whether to go semi-syn or fully-syn  but i guess its been done before, oh and my arias were installed with 4 thou clearence. Seems to be pretty good
  9. Hi all I got my FULL gasket kit from nissan to my door for 410 dollars. I want to know what it should include, as it doesnt seem like it is worth 410 dollars. It has 1 Gasket - F.I.P Washer - drain plug Gasket - cylinder head Oil seal - crankshaft rear Oil seal - camshaft Oil seal - valve stem Gasket - rocker cover exh. Gasket - rocker cover inlet Oil seal - crankshaft Gasket - INT manifold: collector Gasket - manifold Gasket - EXH manifold Gasket - oil strainer Gasket - oil pump Gasket - throttle chamber O ring - seal Gasket - AAC valve Obviously i get the required quantities.. should I feel ripped off or is this what everyone else pays for a full gasket kit. The reason I want to be consolidated is that I thought that you would get the tappet cover rubbers, turbo copper washers and all the little things. Please anyone tell me if I got ripped?? Thanks in advance
  10. it MAY be valve stem seals on your head if it is only doing it on start up. But then again im only guessing
  11. ummm.... grade of castrol? there are MANY... try and do some research... search button is your best friend on this forum. I would say use some sort of 80-90w LSD oil in the diff... and something like VMX80 for the box.. something like that or along those lines should sort you out. Just take it to a workshop and they will find the right oils for it anyhoo

  24. Hello all. In a strange story of engine building, the builder that is doing my work (fairly large company in australia) he doesnt know the bolt torque specifications for the bottom end. I have downloaded the complete service manual but cant seem to find any solid information on bolt torques. Im not entirely sure which specs they need, but if someone could point in the right direction as to a list of bolt tightness specs it would be muchly appreciated Thanks in advance P.S. I'm using arias pistons and crower rods if that helps anyone out. I noticed that the crower tag had the bolt specs on it for the conrods, is that what they would use? Anyhoo I would just like a complete list for them so they can keep it for future reference of other RB25 so the person getting the work done doesnt have to do it :thankyou:
  25. bigcarl: was the manifold you are the UAS one? If thats your results I'll order it tommorow
