  1. GTST (AWD) ? is it a gts4 ?
  2. Use your head. If a car has full log books, immaculate interior and no wear on the original steering wheel and handbrake then low kms are probably genuine. There are however plenty of cases where you see a car that is quite rough around the edges with 95k on the clock and has obviously been wound back

  5. I still don't understand I can't stop thinking that despite backpressure, the wastegate will not open until there is 10 psi in the system. If it doesn't open, pressure will continue to rise until it reaches 10psi, then the gate opens. wouldn't backpressure just make it take longer for the turbo to build 10 psi in the system ?
  6. oh ok... so what is backpressure ? why is it bad ? and how does it change the spring tension of your wastegate ?
  7. doesn't a 2530 with a T3 flange bolt on to a 32gtst ? if so why would you need a new exhaust manifold ? also are there limits to how far you can tune the stock ecu ?, if you can tune the stock one then why get a performance chip ? furthermore why get a powerfc ?
  8. how does putting an exhuast on a car increase its boost ? If you dont have a boost controller eg. AVCR wouldn't boost still be controlled by the wastegate ? what is the stock boost on a 32gtst anyway ?, some say 7 some say 10. Im getting an AVCR soon and i want to know what is safe to run. I was thinking 12 psi....
  9. The guy at Xspeed told me that a HKS High Power for a GTR would fit my gtst but i found out later that it would fit, with minor modification. bottom line, if you've got a gtst get an exhuast specifically made for it preferably jap brand.
  10. Hey every1 thanks for the input, i have narrowed down my choice of exhausts between a HKS High Power and Fujitsubo Power getter. I have heard the Fujitsubo is really good, maybe better than the High Power, but i had never really heard much about them until yesterday so im not so sure. The price difference is neglible between them but the Fujitsubo is stainless steel all the way while the high power is just the muffler and the rest mild steel. Anyone have either or know which is better...ie less bends and stuff
  11. You can get GTR front bars from just jap for like $520 i think but JGR33 just said it costs like $500 to get it over and you still have to paint it so maybe not. You can get the whole DoLuck bodykit for like $1200 here but not every1 seems to like that kit so its up to you
  12. If you put an rb25 in a 32gtst what powerfc do you use ? still the AP Engineering one for 32gtst cos you use the same computer ?

  14. I was just about to order a HKS High Power cat back. I think it is 80mm. How big is the R32 GTS-T FUJITSUBO -Power Getter Cat back (full stainless) (brand new in box)$750 ?? how does it compare to the High Power ??
  15. The point is why would you pay more for a car that most people think looks worse, handles worse, less fun to drive and the tiniest bit quicker over a quarter mile... unless of course your not most people and prefer the 33 in most respects. In that case then definately go the 33 !
  16. http://www.importforums.com/information.htm - this was the first link that came up... im sure there are many others. I never really beleive mags and stuff but the point is that most places that give you specified times will always place the 32 and 33 very close.
  17. definately finish off your exhaust first. I duno if there is much point getting just an FMIC. I would only get one if i already had an ebc or was gona get one at the same time. see how you like it will a full zorts, FMIC, boost up to like maybe 12 psi. I doubt you will be maxing out your injectors or fuel pump with the amount of power those mods will provide. If after that you feel its not enough then look into turbo upgrades, like a 2530 or even a rb25 turbo if your budget is tight. be aware that with a turbo upgrade you will likely have to do injectors and pump to get the full benefit out of it.

  20. 15.5 ?? haha no, i think your right the 33 does do like a 14.4 and the 32 does like a 14.6 or something. I agree the 32 feels like it needs a bit of a torque upgrade which you can get by using the money u save (in buying one over a 33) to put an rb25 in. The light weight and handling of a 32 with the power and torque of a 33...
  21. In pretty much every poll ive ever seen 32's are always rated the best, then 34's and 33's are always dead last. You will find some 33 drivers that converted to a 32 but very rarely can the opposite be said. I don't know who said the 32GTR was the slowest but thats bs, they are the quickest of all for a reason. Personally if i had the cash to buy a 33 i would buy a 32 and use the money for mods, eg rb25 engine swap. At the end of the day though if you like the 33's go for it, YOU will be the one driving it everyday so pick a car that puts a smile on your face evey time you look at it
  22. I know this is an old thread but ever since i ran injector cleaner through my car i have been getting the ticking noise. So could some1 explain exactly what "lifters" are, why its ticking and what i can do to fix it ?? If i take it to a workshop to fix it how much would it cost you rekon ??
  23. haha i had a go at doing this today but couldn't undo the bolts that connect the regulator to the engine, one was really tight and after giving everything ive got i think i stripped it ?? well it doesnt look like a screwdriver will be undoing any more anyway... any ideas how to get it off ??
  24. mine also has a strange screech about it, does that mean its definately the starter motor ? how much is a new one ??
