surely someone out there knows the limit of the injectors............???

My 33 gtr has very mild mods (exhuast/power fc) and after a tune it made 230awkw. The guys tuning it said the standard injectors were at 90% duty. What's the max power i can get out of the standard injectors and what size should i look at upgrading to? Will upgrading the injectors allow a more aggressive tune, and if so, how much extra power can i expect?

my car has full exhuast and power fc on 1 bar....any idea what sort of hp gain i'll get out of a set of cam gears?

how detailed are the engineers certificates? what's stopping you getting a 2" exhaust system checked and approved, then putting on a 3" system?

I was driving down the highway (coffs harbour) in my qld registered car when one of our friendly highway patrol officers issued me with a defect notice and a $200 fine for having an aftermarket exhaust with no engineers certificate. What's that all about? i explained to him that it's not the law to have an engineers certificate in qld.... his response, 'you're driving on nsw roads so you have to abide by our rules.' if that's the case, the cops could have a field day up at the nsw qld border. they didn't even test the exhaust for noise... anyone out there have a similar experience? i would have thought that i could get off the hook considering the car is registered in qld....??? also, is there a time limit between modifications done to the car and the engineers certificate to approve the modification? i had the exhaust on for less than 24 hours! to the guys in coffs.....hope you're on standby cause next time i come through i'll be mashing it in 5th at 300+.

I've spoken to ces about an exhaust for my car. They claim that a lot of the japanese systems are restrictive to keep the noise down and the 'non' restrictive systems are way too loud to pass db tests.....bit hit and miss. I'm heading over to ces on tuesday to test their kw claims and compare their system to some others......i'll post my thoughts up here afterwards. In the meantime if anyone can recommend me to any shops on the gold coast or in brisbane to do a quality exhaust on a gtr I would love to hear about it. cheers

Is a twin plate clutch going to test the standard gearbox in a 33 gtr? Should be making close to 400hp at the wheels.....just need to know if it's a better idea to get a strong single plate instead because i plan to do a few launches and would rather see the clutch die than the gearbox.

Thanks for the info guys. My insurance company is also saying that it needs approval of the mods by the RTA as well....??? Doesn't the engineer's certificate take care of this or is there an inspection that the RTA will perform as well? I'm fairly new to nsw so I don't know all the laws.

Hi Can someone enlighten me to the laws now governing basic modifications in nsw? I'm looking to do the following mods: full exhaust coilover suspension pod filters ....pretty basic stuff i thought, but apparently i need an engineer's certificate. Does anyone know what i'm legally required to do? Who can provide me with an engineer's certificate and at what cost? thanks

what is a z32 afm meter worth without the plug? i've got an 33 gtr and I am looking to upgrade the afm's......so i need to buy the meters with plugs attached.....right?
