yeah i suggested that, i cant blame the broker cuz i know its aint his fault, but its the safe transportation is sum1 responsiblity though. i dunno what to say, but after sending him the request to remove the front bar, and i did metion if it will cost more money i am willing to pay, so i really dont know hus got the responsibility there.

i think my post is more suitable here just went to have a look at my car today, it only arrived at the workshop late yesterday afternoon. i know its low, so i requested for the front bar to be taken off during tranport. my broker sent the request to japan, and "replied they said they wil take it off if it has trouble getting on and off the ship" now theres 2 cracks on the bottom lip and 2 near the gril, the bar itself now is losely on. i know its not entierly my brokers fault but what can i do?im running a very stricth budget, and i definately no its not my fault either, either way i saw this coming that why i requested the front bar off, but i dont want to end up paying for the repairs because i have mentioned it to him b4. is their a fair way to sovle this, i already ask him to chip in for the repair, OR AT least provide me with the cheapest repair possible.

WOW! i read all this thread and relise all my fellow liner's are all decent and worthy ppl to have such nice cars. name is Phuong, 19 and will soonly have a 95 r33 impul-r. i dont deal drugs (this is not my source of income) and no i didnt steal it, like my mates suggested. i deferd for a year just to work my ass off and save for my own car, i have to say i didnt borrow a cent for this car, all was paid off and im a proud owner of my 2nd car.(dont ask me what my first car was ) all i can say is it literally a bomb. could of blew up any moment. studying science at ecu joondalup, want to head into civil egin but still unsure what i want to do in life. oh i work part time as a bender (just think futurama....bendig steel for contruction at smorgon steel) juggeling uni, work, confused gf :S.

DRIFTT hu do u work for, or u run our own personal importing/compliance business? soo im expecting earliest 3 weeks if it al goes well for it to be on the road.

WTF!!!! 6 weeks!!!thats heaps long. i hope its doesnt take more than a month, ive already waited 3 months for the dam thing. only cuz i missed March ship, but i dont think it should take that long. i bought i mid march Mearcat- im getting it complied through imports101 the guy there hold a RAWS certified workshop. im got a quote that it wont excced more than 4.4k including new tires (17's) im really getting anxious, cuz my car sat on the docks in japan for 1.5months and now its getting here i hope it wont take longer. as for i know i dont even know the full condition of it other than seeing sum pics of it. its like waiting for desperately needed organs

how much for the complete car?

i thought anything that result the car for excessive nosie ie POD filter are illegal. whats the dpi number and what mods are legal and what are illegal, does any1 have a list? cuz im importing a skyline too, and i would hate to be "p" target too ive got 4 months left til i get off my p's and i know for sure when i get the car, the cops will give me sh#t.

SL33KGTS thanks for that advice, seems like a good idea and might save me sum cash in the long run cuz i might need sum extra parts in the future. as for swapping it mysef, the only clutch &tranny i ever replaced is on a datsun (81) and that just a straight swap of the tranny and clutch that requires a shit load of upper strenght, becuase i didnt have a ramp. dont get me wrong, i love doing things myself, but i doubt ill know how to get the peddal in there. and plus i doubt i have the rite tools cheers guyz Ps G0DF4Th3R whats ken's number

just read the thread, but im really serious importing a 4 door skyline, prob is most of them are autos, hence manuals are rare and expensive. it is an option that im willing to take since auto arent thrashed as bad as some manuals, but if any1 knows any local workshop that does it, plz help out.
