your fuel is about right for city driving, have you used a full tank on the hiway? The boost solenoid could of been disconnected due to a loose wire/connection, by fiddling with it you could of solved it. It's working now so everythings fine.

I was looking forward to a laugh. now I'm bored again. Anyone spin in the wet today? I did when I hit boost on a slow acceleration uphill Haha freaked me for a bit as I havent driven in the rain since the new turbo.

If you had a stuffed motor with a good head/stock rebuild, an RB30 would be a cheaper rebuild wouldn't it?

Well aparently the turbos are different not only in the plastic compressor but it is a different designed compressor fan as well, which isn't really surprising just not mentioned.

the copper washer on the oil line is probably seeping oil, its not a huge job but requires some schill to do it properly.

It would probably be brass, that means something brass is wearing and needs replacing, before it needs re-machining or it may be too late for either, I dont know enough to guess what 'it' would be, but some on here may.

Thames eh, I had some very good times on the Corramandel esp around new years, in some ways it reminded me of Coffs Harbour where I grew up.

poping noise would be running rich, a tune up would be best. No high tension leads on RB's so he probably doesnt know them.
