  1. I wish. my last set of firestones were so crappily made that the balance was done 3 times over thier short life span, When I asked them why they told me they were crap and had the same problem with other owners of these tyres. I have Yokohama R1s now much happier.
  2. from what I understand all turboed 33s were Type M (not Mspec oops )and NA werent and the options are cosmetic options on all types
  3. do a google for meggala? I think its spelt that way.

    Power Cruiz

http://qld.powercruise.net/ I went last year and wanted to compete, but i didnt research and only found out on the day that your need your rego papers and DL, so I ended up a spectator (photos here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...d=sc&cat=5) its not a cruise as such but a chance to get on the track and do whatever you want in front of a big crowd, and a show and shine, lots of V8s and some awesome ones at that, there were 6 or 7 skylines there with the Camerons car being the standout for me, the web site gives you all the details. I will go again, depending on my car whether I compete or not.
  5. I think the success of MSC was because it wasnt just a SAU event but gathered alot of other clubs, remember that a few minorities see the club as elitist and wont attend because of that, whereas Erin succeded in uniting all skyline owners in a great event, we will be hard pressed to do this (I think) but not impossible, and by changing the name, making it that bit harder.
  6. I asked about cruise control and found that the ecu has to be equiped for it and in the end it was easier to get an after market one fitted, I got a commander system, works great and saved me a few fines.
  7. I can understand that Erin has put a lot of time and effort in to the past events, and deserves recognition for that, but what i want to know is why, we, as the skyline community should change the name of OUR annual event. She organised it but it was the skylines attending it that gave it recognition. But in the end if she wishes to hold on to it there is not much we can do. So a rename poll? Massive RB Cruise? perhaps not.
  8. If you are just using it for a commuter, you dont need anything flash, as said a 600cc will do fine, ive had alot of bikes mostly fast 2 strokes and lost my licence alot, they are just too dam quick, I now ride a yamahaha 650 vstar, I went for a cruiser because they are good and grunty and this one is shaft drive (I got sick of checking/changing chains) but top speed lets me keep my licence and it looks good, there are so many different types/sizes you can spend alot of time just looking and you have to decide what type you want (commuter, race, cruiser etc) and remember that most car drivers cause bike accidents SO BE AWARE and wear leathers, They do scrub the gravel out with a stiff brush and yes it does hurt.
  9. I m not sure on this either but nowadays I think you pay for the gas and hire of the bottle, so if you have it for a year without using it you still pay for just having it.
  10. If it had no bleed valve, the turbo would boost unlimited, wouldnt it? that would definately stuff it, there are a few members on here who are doing good deals on turbos, 'Slide' and '3lit3 32' come to mind.
  11. Its been a while since I welded ali but I think you need pure argon, and no, a gasless wont weld ali. In the industry no one use arc welders any more because they are a pain in the ass, we either use mig, tig or inverters. Inverters are the best in my opinion as you can use rods or set them up for tig, but to weld ali with tig you need a square wave unit which are very expensive (4k). If you set up a steel mig welder to weld ali you must remember that ali wire is very soft and bends easily thus getting caught up in the wheels that push the wire, a dedicated ali mig uses the push/pull system with driven wheels in the hand piece that pull wire up to it.
  12. My turbo timer still works fine, and before I got the microtech it worked properly but now when I start the car it starts counting down and then shuts off, when I turn off the ignition with the timer on, I have to give it a rev for the timer to catch the ignition otherwise it does nothing and shuts down. Does anyone have this same thing and is there a way to get it working properly? Terry
  13. He forgot to mention that the injectors need a professinal clean, and from what I could tell they are hi flowed standard R33 series 2 injectors. JFYI.

  15. Thanks anyway shane I got one from Zoom. I tried Dou33 as he had one for $30 But when I rang him the price went to $60 then 5mins later it was $110, is he allowed to do that Mods?
  16. After replacing the 2 broken studs last night I got ready to put it back together today and what do I see in the morning sun but a big assed crack running around the casting next to the turbo mount, its farked, so I am hoping that someone has got one from a highmount convo or something. I need it fairly urgently. Terry 0402574506
  17. I dont know about the Neo but on the R33 there is white wire loop on the coil loom you clip the timing light onto, its up back of the engine.
  18. I did it! The pic is a wiring diag of the setup for a R33. Thanks to all who helped with this Al, Predator, Shane, ColGTSX, Bl4cK32, Sav man and anyone else that I Pmed Disclaimer: This worked for me it is no guarentee that it will work for anyone else.
  19. Well after much searching I found this on a site. I am guessing that the signal wires A & B are the wires on the rack that read the movement of the rack, without running out and looking, i know there are 3 wires on that connector, I can get an idea of which is which, I will have a look at it tommorrow and see what happens.
  20. Yes Marc you are correct, I just looked at the Thumbnail and they looked liked mine but they are completely different. My bad.
  21. Was that just a tyre pressure change and nothing else? Was it a huge improvement in the axle hop?
  22. They are usually called rear pods, and those are a factory option.
  23. Depending on the amount of constant use relates to tank size, if your using it every minute or so, a large tank will keep up better, but if you only use it for short bursts, and can wait for the compressor to catch up, a smaller/est will do fine, thats with rattle guns and sanders etc, i dont use a spray gun much. You get what you pay for, compressors wear out and if they a shite to begin with......
  24. To check the relay swap it with another of the same rating. If it is a fuse you will have to find out why it blew before they will be workable.
