hey guys, the bootlid on my r32 gtst has plugs in it to cover the spoiler holes. I was going to get my mate to weld the holes up but I thought I'd see if anyone had one for sale or knows where I can get one (carmate sell carbon fibre ones but they're $1000!). Thanks.

hey guys, my R32 misfires (I think thats what it is?). When the engines cold and I'm slowly accelerating it sometimes has shit all power then suddenly it gets full power and takes off like its hitting boost or something (its not though). This is under 3k revs. Seems to be kinda random, but is around 2000-2500 revs that it happens i think. You can be driving along too (when its cold), holding throttle steady and drone suddenly increases and it loses power. I have no idea where to start looking? It's an Rb20DET, FMIC, 16psi. The ignition amplifier (I think its called, the thing that usually sits on top of engine near the firewall, little black box thing) is just hangind loosely (not bolted to anything) as coil-pack cover has been removed. There looked to be a bit of moisture around coil-packs so I sprayed WD40 and cleaned up a bit around them but it hasn't made any difference. I havent tested the coil-packs or taken them out to have a look at them or anything. Haven't checked plugs or anything yet either. Car is currently running very rich due to the way its tuned (Adj. fuel pressure regulator) runs about 50-60psi fuel pressure on idle and possibly has bigger injectors. Has standard computer. Atmospheric BOV. Bigger fuel pump (Walbro 500hp i think). Bigger turbo (custom Vg30). Pod filter. That's all I can think of. Not sure what other info is needed to diagnose but I just think it's odd as I searched and most misfire probs were at higher revs?? This only happens when car is cold and at low revs. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

My R32 GTST doesn't have a blue plate, just has a green compliance plate on the firewall and aussie VIN etched into strut tower.. My mate said sometimes they are inside the doors but the blue plate isnt there either and its usually on the firewall on skylines I see. Please PM me if you have any ideas! Thanks.

anymore help people? what should i check? how do i check AAC, cold start valve etc. ?? "If they had to bump fuel pressure that much to correct the A/Fs, I'd be suspicious of the meter." Car was tuned at 220rwkw @ 16psi when fuel pressure reg. was adjusted (to correct A/Fs). Would current fuel pressure be required for that boost/power level or do you still think A/F meter might be faulty? The guy I bought it off said the tuner cleaned the A/F meter. I'm pretty sure fuel pressure was 60psi before, now at idle it shows 50psi.. and as someone else said, it drops pressure when car is off.. i.e. crank -> 50/60psi -> if engine doesnt start -> drops back to 0psi. Car has 550hp walbro fuel pump. I just need to know what I should be checking to try and fix this?? Thanks!

RESURRECTION! One of the engine belts (either P/S or alternator, no A/C) in my R32 GTST is making a loud squealing noise on start-up.. does it occasionally when i first start it for the day or at midnight when I start it up after work. Does anyone have the specs on belt tightness? Also, can someone put that diagram back up please? Thanks. EDIT: Searched gallery and found that diagram.. so those specs would be same for RB20DET yeh?

My aussie VIN doesnt have anything to do with the original chassis number. MY aussie VIN is 6F9IMPORTTH9K**** (I left the last 4 digits out). Why would they have removed the original blue plate? Is that even legal? I guess I have no way of finding out anything about my car, will make ordering parts from nissan hard too!

Air-con was removed from my car when I bought it.. I think I might have to get it put back in cause my car's black.. I'm going to die in summer!

Probably best to do a search but from memory this problem can be coil pack related, so might be worth testing them.

Yeh as I said not 100% sure if it has bigger injectors or not. Car was apparently dyno tuned by previous owner about 2 weeks ago and fuel pressure regulator was adjusted to correct A/F mixture. I can get a dyno sheet if that would help? If 60psi is too much fuel pressure will it be running too rich all the time?
