  1. hmm i know it'll probably cut the life of my engine by alot. But it doesnt really bother me because i'll be putting a new bottom end in it in the near future. I have also been told by others what power they have got with the similar setup. But im not saying i will get like 350kw, but i can set a goal i guess? I wont be disapointed if i dont get it. But yeah i just thought i'd give it a go. I dont see why not push the standard engine to its limits, if ya got the money to fix it then i say go for it.

    Z32 Afm X 2

    Im after some Z32 AFM's for my gtr (!!MUST WORK!!). Im pretty sure you need the plugs and stuff so if anyone has got them. Tell me a price and i'll say yes or no! Cheers!!
  3. twin trust t517z, nismo injectors, aftermarket turbo manifolds, power fc, exhaust, umm well pretty much the standard mods, just keeping the engine as is for now and seeing how much i can get out of it. Saving for a os giken 3L haha. might be saving a while. BUt i was reading an old article in HPI and they got 340 out of there skyline with basically the same mods. They were trialling the t517s against the 25-30's. Should have all my parts with in 2 weeks. But i wont have my licence back til november so ive got plenty of time to stuff around with the car. Just didnt want to do the turbo's myself because i work out of town and i leave all my tools out there, plus its a shit of a job. But cheers for the help guys. Fully appreciate it
  4. I wasnt really aiming for that much, but i done a fair bit of research last night and decided not to go with the dejetro. Aparently Mercury can't tune them atm either, waiting on some program or somthing. I was only going for around about 350rwkw. I guess i'll go with chapman for all the work and maybe try mercury for the tuning. But im still in the process of aquiring all the parts. But i just thought i'd plan ahead first. Anyone got a pair of Z32's for sale??? haha Thanks for the help people Cheers
  5. Yeah ive had work done with Chapman & chapman and i was impressed with them. Just dont think they had a 4 wheel dyno. Sorta looking for a place where i can get it all done at the one shop. I live about 6 hours away and i work heaps so its just about convenience. VERY impressed with all the cars in his shop too. I am getting a D-jetro computer and stuff. so yeah. I just need some advice, maybe someone has done a bit of work to there cars at a shop and where very impressed, and i also know about word of mouth about workshops. anyways Cheers.
  6. Ok i guess other people have probably asked the same thing heaps of times and a sorry in advance, but i did a search through the queensland forum and couldnt find anything on it. Basically im looking for a workshop in brisbane or surrounding (gold coast) to do some work to my engine and tune the power FC without airflow metres. But i dont want to be stuffed around, ripped or have my engine blown up during the tuning. Need a reputable shop. People have suggested mercury and apc. But dont think i'll be going to apc because of a thread i was just reading (thanks) . Are mercury as good as everyone says they are? is there any other shops that are good with GTRs?? Anyway hope someone can help. Cheers

  8. I need a Reverse light switch on off a GTR. So if you have a broken gear box or somthing like that laying around would be much appreciated if you'd rip it off and sell it to me!! Just pm me Cheers
  9. I got a Imported 1989 GTR. Body is very straight. Coilovers, Cat back exhaust, blits twin stage electric boost controller and a few mines crap like filters, computer. Nismo rear boot lip thing, and bonnet lip and the nostrels!! PM me if you want pictures or more info. Cheers

  11. My hicas is stuffing up, but my speedo is still working.. But not as well as it should, its a bit .. loose? I also know that my speedo is out, due to bigger wheels and a dodgy tyre job.. i think? Its a bit dangerous to drive especially since the problem is a on off problem. Hope someone can give us an insight into fixing shitty hicas.
  12. 4wd light being on usually means its in 2wd. Put your foot down and if it spins really crazy then yeah its 2wd. As for fixing the problem... sorry dude, cant help ya there. Im having problems with my GTR but with the hicas

  14. I have my GTR, im 19 but its not that i cant afford comprehensive its just that im not stupid enough to pay comprehensive. Its a load of shit what they ask for a person my age well not really considering some of the f*&k wits that go around. I just go with covering the other persons car if i hit someone. As for some bogan without insurance hitting me. I guess i just have to take that chance to drive the car i had my first wet dream about... As for planning for your car. It never goes to plan. When you have the money in your pocket and you can afford all the problems that come with owning a GTR, buy one. I spent 9 months with 30k in my account looking for my car. Maybe too long but it was worth it. I had heaps of bugs with it coming from japan and it cost $2000 just to get it to go good with all its stupid LITTLE but EXPENSIVE faults. I also said that i'd leave it the way it is. But now i have a new bottom end comming, turbos e.t.c. things NEVER stay to plan. you can never have enough ponys!!!
  15. lol get em while they are hot... just a figure of speach i hope! whats this about cant get the camber adjustable for a r32? I already have coil overs on my 32 GTR but not camber adjusting ones. So i am looking for some so please explain???

  18. haha my car has that smell. Same thing as wizard oz. it only started happening after i had my gearbox fluid changed. Only thing i could think of if the rubber boot thing got broken while doing the change is if they pulled the gear stick out to fill the oil up through there.... if they are really dodgy and you can do that in skylines. I used to do it with my old escort haha...
  19. I used to have a ssqv on my Celica GT4. I bought the insert and its like a lower pitched noise... not that kool. My friends didnt notice the difference though. waste of 40 bucks. but if you want somthing different go for it. Im not sure what it'd sound like on a skyline, might sound better. But basically a low pitched sound. Kinda like sleeper spec blow off valve you could say.
  20. yeah, my bad, i mean exhaust side. No smoke at all though. It was smoking at one stage, but that was completely fuel. My computer showed the injector duty was at 8% at idle , well wasnt much of an idle. afm problem though. hmmm so with the exhaust part of the turbo smashed off, it'd blow smoke? i dont drive the car hard at all. especially when its f**ked. Im gonna pull the cat off tomorrow and have a look to see whats the go. Hopefully that will tell me somthing!
  21. Hmm would the compressor wheel reach the cat if i have standard dump pipes? What i figured is that it'd get stuck in the dump pipe restricting air, which would make less noise...? Bit far fetched? Ive been told to take off the dump pipe and check but **** that! only time im doing that is when im changing the turbo. I guess it'd answer my own question wether the turbo is stuffed but meh. Hmm i was hoping this would of happened to someone before so they could tell me what there car did. Taking the cat out would be alot easier, but the rattle has stoped now so who knows what has happened to it. I cant think of any other reason why my car is going so slow. But if anyone else has a theory, feel free to tell me! About the turbo's im getting a set of 25/30's for a really good price brand new. Its good having friends with a spare parts buisness hooking ya up cost price... too bad he's a rotary man. But thanks for the offers anyway! I'd be looking for a standard gtr turbo, just 1 of though. Just a temporary fix considering the wait for my new turbos.
  22. What happens if one of your turbos looses a compressor wheel? After alot of thought, looking for alternative excuses why my GTR could be shown up by a stocko commodore... the noises point to it. i think 1 of my turbos has died. No oil out the exhaust or anything. Just loss of alot of power. Engine still runs fairly fine. the exhaust is definitly not as loud anymore, it used to vibrate my whole shed when i turned it on or had it turning off. Probably a quater bar of boost lost. But the main point VERY slow. Ive pulled all the plumbing off and checked it - no leaks. It has a rattly noise on boost. hmm cant think of much else. so hopefully someone could say yep thats a turbo. If it is a turbo, is it still safe to drive? also is it smart to change both turbos at the same time or just the one broken. Getting new turbos a few months down the track, just gotta save a bit more money. i just need a temporary fix. Well hope someone can help! thanks
  23. I was wondering what happens if one of your turbo's goes on a GTR. Do you still get boost?? does the 1 turbo that is working have to over work? is it safe to drive with 1 turbo ****ED!!?? Just having a turbo problem atm and just want to varify it...
