  2. sounds like a great buy. i'd be keen if i could afford it!
  3. nice! a chick who is mechanically minded.... thats HOT! i think the best idea here is to visit Cooma Deisel. i've never been there, so i cant vouch for their work, but i've heard good things about them.... i also know that Dave at Gas Tune in tuggers is experienced with turbo and high powered cars. worth a look i reckon, great bloke as well.
  4. gave/got a wave from a gun metal R32 GTR yesterday heading south along yamba dr.
  5. i'll get one for sure!

yeah, sorry about that..... it was a little last minute. but us ACT'ers are quite a close bunch and if something is being organised for that night, word usually spreads pretty quickly. it wasn't a big turnout anyway. it was a bit early in the evening for most people. but you can be sure that every year during summernats, ACT SAU will be out crusing almost every night of the week! we'll try to be more organised next year....
  10. yeah i was in the coupe. im only running a 3inch exhaust and a FMIC. stock boost as well! our mate in the 4 door has 'upgraded' to an RB26! its running close to stock as well, so it doen't go as good as what it could... yet!
  11. well, after removing nearly a whole tank of fuel, cleaning the plugs up again and switching back to synergy 8000, the car seems to be running fine. thank god! its a shame actually, cause when the car was working well on the V-Power Racing blend, holy crap it went fast! there was a noticable difference to how my car performed. meh, i've learn't my lesson now.....
  12. yeah that was a fun drive! hehe....
  13. Warning.... Do not buy V-Power Racing from the Shell servo at the Wanniassa shops. i recently decided to switch fuels and try the new V-Power Racing blend which is meant to be atleast 100 octane and contains 5% ethanol. worked fine for the first 2 tanks, but on the 3rd, all of a sudden my car feels like its dropped a cylinder!!! fearing the worst, i pulled the ignition apart and replaced the spark plugs to find that this did the trick and the car worked fine. shortly after, it started to miss again, so i swapped my coilpacks thinking they were getting to hot and shorting out. not this.... so i decided to clean the plugs and see if that worked. and it did. just now after a test drive, its started to miss again, which almost certainly means that it has to be the fuel. now im not sure if its just a bad batch or if the extra octane and ethanol are the cause of it, but its seems that the fuel is burning too hot and is fouling the plugs, causing the problem. im putting it down to a bad batch of fuel, as it didn't foul the plugs in the either of the first 2 tanks. however, im not 100% certain of this fact, so im switching back to the good old trustworthy 98 octance stuff.... hope this post saves you from grief.... Cheers
  14. hhmmm.... what do you know that we dont???
  15. i reckon your car will slip under the radar tonight. there will be much more 'defectable' looking cars than yours getting around. besides, your car isn't actually 'defectable', as in your tyres aren't bald or car sits too low etc.... just flash your engineer's certificate and i'll reckon you'll be fine. also just posted this up in the NSW section, so we might get some interstater's there tonight....

you beat me to it! Meeting place: National Museum of Australia Time: 6pm for a 6.30pm leave basically, we all meet there, have a bit of a chat, then at 6.30 we'll all cruise into braddon, find some parking and watch the entertainment.... maybe a little later in the evening we might even go for cruise. should be a fun night....
  17. ok, so whats the go for this evening? i suggest meet up at the museum between 6pm and 6.30pm, then head into braddon at 6.30pm SHARP to be sure we get good group parking, but whether it'll work that way or not could be another story.... sound like a plan? any suggestions for parking?
  18. sorry SL33KY, but im going to have to bail. i'll be away that weekend and im also strapped for cash...
  19. hhmmm.... sounds like fun, but i dont think i'll have the money for it.
  20. i'll bet that the carpark we were in last night will be full by the same time tonight and for the rest of the week... the earlier you get there, the better parking you'll get....
  21. well, its not as simple as "lets make ourselves a car club". here in the ACT, we are a group, not a club. the difference being, a club has an official President, Vice President, Treasurer etc... it also needs to be registered with the approiate governing body, which costs money, which is why you have pay to be a member. and lets face it, no one here in the ACT would have the time or the energy to try and piece something like that together. its not as easy as it sounds....
  22. br3tt, on your car, no wing would look awesome if you got that little 'lip' wing or if you invested in a flat boot. but that becomes expensive..... im also a big fan of the GT style wings, but one of those just wouldn't look right on your ride.... in the end, its your car, so you do whatever you reckon looks the best...
  23. i have a mate who has the exact the same problem as you do.... if you work it out, PM me! i've heard various stories, one of which, is that you'll need the stagea front end??? not sure if theres a difference between the stagea and GTR, but i suggest you throughly research this before making a decision.... good luck!
