Ok so i went and purchased myself a tidy little GTS-t today, be on the road in 2 weeks (fingers crossed). So here is the deal, im after a front bar and a set of wheels for it as i think its a little too stock at the moment. So if anyone has a bar to suit a GTS-t GTS4 or a set of wheels they are looking to sell let me know and if there what i want i'll take em off ya hands.

Yep been told the same thing and when you ring the indiviual in person he will tell you the exact same thing as well, "yes it can be registered" :kick:

I totally agree with you there about the rego but as i said there are other ways around it (LEGALLY) i know a certain person who's daily driver came over originally as his race car and after talking with the right people and going by the book he got it passed with papers and its NOT SI registered. But after saying that i see your point about someone being new to imports and being taken for a ride, but like i said they should be doing a car/plates check before buying it anyhow to make sure in my opinion.

Not completly true about not being able to register it, yes you can not get full registration on a K car but there are ways around it (LEGALLY) to get SI and roads approved registration on such a car. As for telling someone it can be passed and complied then they should know to do a vehicle/plate check on it before purchase to confirm this or more full them as they have too much money and deserve to be taken for a ride, no pun intended. It really depends on what im wanting i guess. But if i see something i like then i dont care about the $$$ factor. But at the end of the day i would like a nice clean car that will get me around as a daily driver and something i can have a little fun in for a reasonable dollar. If that means i have to get a car that is comes under the 15 year rule and compliance it myself then so be it

Looks nice and clean and for a good dollar but i really want to avoid an auto if i can. But would still like a look over the car. Who knows maybe after you take me for a drive i might even change my mind about autos. It looks like i will be up north this weekend but maybe another time???

Ok so i should of said GTR (not v spec 2) last R32 GTR i looked at was $14850 and that was on the road, its not what you know bt who you know boys, and if you ask Timmyb he'll tell you that i know alot of peeps :headspin:

Nice car but overated. (just my opinion not ragging on you or ya car) there going for around $15-16k at the mo and thats a bit more than i was looking at paying

You private or sell on behalf of the public??? What can you get in the way of cars and are your avenues limited at all in what availiblity you can look at???

You would be suprised how many there are. I can name over 10 straight off the bat and that doesn't include peeps i know that have a race/track car skyline. Im not saying there everywhere im just saying that go back a few years ago and you were lucky to see the occassional import on Tassie roads but these days it seems like every 4th car i see of late is an import of some kind. I dont care what other people's opinions are on other cars or what the like, all im saying is that import cars in general and A LOT of skylines are getting around on Tassie roads and i was wondering if they imported and prepped or bought direct???

I wouldn't go as far as saying rare JaFF, hit up Kingston Beach on a good weekend mate and you will see 5 or 6 there alone. Im not saying that there as common as Fords or Holdens but it seems there growning in numbers these days. Compared to when i built my first turbo car not many on the roads then. One of these days i will have something for fun again, who knows what it will be??? If i see a bargain import then someone might be able to twist my arm
