I have to say he is the greatest F1 driver of all time but he has flaws like all geniuses consistently beats teamate in same car, consistently beats his brother of similar genetic makeup, aligns himself with and helps develop top race teams like ferrari - all over very long periods of time like 15 yrs winning with benneton and ferrari how many other drivers could have the best driver/car combination at 37 yrs of age and be punching out fastest laps with high fuel loads! MS: skill - top notch consistency - top notch passion/determination - top notch teamwork/engineering - top notch The only other driver who can have a case is Senna whose displays of skilled f1 driving are on par if not better than MS thats what i reckon but yes he has done some dodgy things but it seems that was the trade off for him to be so driven, ambitious, ruthless and focussed on winning F1 races for so long
  2. comparing a bosch 040 to a R34 gtr fuel pump, 040 is much quieter i have found - i installed the bosch but the r34 gtr pump was installed at a reputable shop gtr pump is kinda annoying high whir

  4. yeh was a nasty one saw it live on tv, Mark Porter was sitting there in the car helpless then bam the other car was sideways and slammed straight into the drivers side all we can do is hope they pull thru ok
  5. put an intercooler and some boost and this thing will boogie, handling and braking is sorted
  6. :laughing-smiley-014: but seriously they (wrxs) have their strong points like 4 door may be newer not imports and 4wd basically go for a drive/ride in each and make ur mind up, the nissan turbos will push you in the back more and be faster usually (more modded also) but a wrx will rip off the mark and be a killer in the wet

  9. Hi guys, Up for sale is an immaculate R33 gts-t owned by my father since these cars were really rare in oz (long time ago). He now has “upgraded” to a Subaru forrester for the retirement drives around Australia . Yep he is an older guy (oops he will read this ) and honestly has kept it in pristine condition with no expense spared on maintenance. In my experience it really must have had the easiest and least thrashed life of any of these skylines around. For example there is no boost controller, it has never budged from 7 psi (and yes I tried to make him get one but no ). Turbo/ecu bov all stock. Most mods were originally on the car except for the splitfire coil packs, gtr fuel pump and bilstein suspension. It has been very regularly serviced at Powerplay imports.   12. Hi all, Unfortunately its time to sell my beloved 180 , as I need some dosh for travelling overseas. The main mod is the engine conversion to RB20DET (with R33 RB25DET turbo) and also cusco coilover suspension, recaro (not genuine recaro ) reclinable bucket seats, Brandt (standard on WRXs) alarm/immobilisor system requiring a pin code for ignition. She is great fun to drive, pulls very hard and really does sound awesome and handles like a go kart! Car is in great condition inside and out, only tarnish is it needs new rear tyres and a few minor scratches that are expected on these older cars I guess.   13. dude they are different, a turbo is a centrifugal compressor (ie increases the pressure of a compressible fluid - a gas) and is powered by exhaust gases to improve the power/efficiency of an internal combustion engine sure the compressor side looks similar to centrifugal pumps but a pump can be powered by anything and pump just about any fluid - a silly comparison - one is helping the propulsion of a vehicle like car or mentioned cruise ship and the other sits there pumping fluid through pipes on a chemical or hydro plant but yeh bring on the cruise ship turbos

  19. yep I went in 2001 worth going to galleria ferrari tasty race F40's and the like....... I think Bologna is the closest big city, I got a train from there to Modena and then a bus out to Maranello which is Ferrari town lol merchandise everywhere if ur lucky like I was u may also catch them testing on the Ferrari circuit saw the then F1 car do laps was awesome not sure about the actual factory though might need to be more official and booked but give it a go

    k good we have established that he isnt the next senna atleast but i think driver choice by teams does come into question, in such a cutthroat result oriented and quantifiable sport, why do drivers who are consistently out driven by their team mates continue to get a drive in good teams, are there other factors at work? cost of drivers? using drivers who are experienced at F1 yet not winning material? building driver team relationships? i duno im just thinking aloud
