Was it fine after the tune and gradually got worse? Or was it just bad straight up?   3. Was devastated we didn't get to wind it up... can't wait to finish it off RPM Scale - This is a guide only and was done as an rpm vs road speed from the tacho. Tuning was by no means finished, even on minimum boost, due to severe boost leaks

  5. The only different mode's you may need are different boost levels, most of my clients run the turbo tech single stage boost control which has only the one boost, and if less boost (power) is needed they simply use less throttle
  6. The turnaround is around 2 weeks, but I have a couple of changeoiver ECU's here for R33s. If you can get me the ECU numbers from your car, I can hunt down a standard ECU and send that away then swap with yours? Or we can even try the R33 ECU in your car, see if that works? Sam.
  7. You are in no way a complete dick.... Whoever told you remaps were limited is however! With a re-map you havre the same flexability as a PFC, with the benefits of being a factory ECU, retaining full consult interface & diagnostics, active knock sensor feed back, and it doesn't require any changes to wiring / adaptor looms / sensor manipulation etc etc... The factory ECU can easily produce the power you are after, whilst still retaining the the reliability and safety of a Nissan engineered product! my 2c Sam. BTW: Total Outlay would be around $1300 including ECU modifcations, and all dyno time. Further retuning does not involve any 'remap fees' or bs like that, just simple dyno time, and is not password protected, or encrypted, so ANYONE with basic remapping skills can retune your car...

  9. At the moment they are quite expensive, and yes quite difficult to install, would only recommend advanced electronics techs attempt this, need smd experience and equipment... I'm still trying to work things out regarding fast turnaround of supply and install with base maps...
  10. We've now got working R33 tuning boards available, will have the Nistune update from Matt this week to see how the nistune software goes with the RB25, can't wait... I'm using NRE from the same guy who wrote LiveEdit but full real time map tracing and emulation...   14. I have two RB25 ECU's for changeover already.... Please let me know the MEC-Rxxx number from your ECU if you are interested... Unfortunately the turnaround time for the ECU modification is around 2 weeks, and I don't have a full set of changeover ECUs yet... More than happy to do dicounted dyno ime for the first few Another note... When I am done tuning, I don't lock the data files - IE: Anyone, such as unigroup tsl etc, with remapping skills can retune these at a later stage... Sam.

These are the simple plug in chip upgrades, and to the best of my knowledge CANNOT be tuned in real time, and also require purchase of a new SINGLE USE CHIP every time you want a new map loaded... The method we are using is converting the R33 to run a single 27C256 eprom, which can be re-used, as well as tuned in real time with full map tracing etc etc... Hence, the initial $$ are a bit higher, but the end results are WELL worth it.

  17. I didn't know nistune could do the R33 stuff yet.... hmm might have to chat to Matt... We use daughterboards and real time emulation same as we have on the RB20's for a couple of years now

  19. R33 ones are nailed! We are using the same boards as used to be in ash's R31 RB25 which was fully programable 5 years ago! We've only just been able to source the boards in the last few months... Non-Neo Stagea is same price as R33, and AT is no problems, e-mail for quotes please. Simon - Check the pinouts from R32 to R33 you will see the differences there.... I think PaulR33 has it on his page somewhere???

We've also done quite a few R32 ecus in R33s... we found the only wiring to be changed for street applications was when running an RB25 loom the idle switch needed to be wired in, only improved. We've also has some good success using the buddy club VTEC controller as a cheap VCT rpm output.. IMHO - Remap the R33 ECU is the best way to go...
  22. The Remapped RB25 ECU is the newest additon to the family... I have two projects nearly completed which will both have remapped ECU's... The end result is that it can be tuned exactly like I have been doing the RB20 ECUs for 6 years now. I did do a few of the RB25 ECUs a few years ago, but never knew where/how to the ECU done... till now! I'll post details up as soon as they happen
