R34 ECU has self learning function, hence piggy back (SAFC) is not a good choice as it will return to basic ECU mapping after power cycle. as the mapping developement will never be the same, a retune is require if the car run out of battery i remeber Andrew is having such a problem with Unichip on his S15

the early batch of Boxter are known to have engine problem (slipped sleeve) and porsche admit that. try to do a search on rennlist http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/forumdisplay.php?f=67 if the car you are buying is not daily, i strongly recommend you to buy a 911 930, they keep their value very well, it's likely that if you get a good example now, you will able to sell it for the same/more than what you paid for in a few years time

My R34 arrived in Australia 90 days+ after i paid for it. It had to sit a further 1 or 2 months on the docks which cost me a good $3400 alone for storage fee.
