This cant not be done i know this for a fact i called up about 5 insurance places and all said the youngest driver must be put 1st. So if your age is about 17/18 or 19 u will be looking to pay around $4,000 a yr for FULL COVER and $700 a yr for 3rd party + fire and thief Also 17.5k will get you a nice skyline i pay about that in Dec lastyr and got myself a r33 93 model gts-t with a good list of mods, bodykit and sound system so just shop around and u can find a good deal

At the end of the day i think that unless a person Attitude does not change (does not mature, or find the difference between right and wrong) nothing will change, like alot of things in life there is the good and bad people for all the good people this may make there life harder *if police target HP cars* but then again it should make it easier to catch the bad people and take them off our streets. To me this new law is tring to do that I like the idea, but tehn again if it will work or not is another story and we will see in the next few months

Boostzor, still on the Ls , for sure i have given a few people a drag but when i hit the 80/90km i back off really fast, i am really scaried that something bad will happen. I past the proving something stage. People always ask me why when my dad picks me up from school in the skyline i dont wait around and do a burnout or show of my car. 2 me it is pointless its just a nissan nothing specail, got nothing 2 prove 2 right cam my mistake but it seem 2 take me longer with the handbrake then just balacning it (ps do u balance or handbrake?) p.s if it sound like i am acting 40, its cuz over the past few weeks i have work out that my life is more important then some streetrace

Boostzor, about the stock spec cars are enuff i agree, before i drove the skyline, i drove a vr holden (v6) and 1.8L astra, and they felt very powerful 2 me and i didnt really want anything more. I think untill u get into a fast car u dont really know the differences

cam i know about the clutch but when using the handbrake i do the same thing with balancing the clutch. so i do not see the differences. I pay attion of wat is behide but i do not look every 8second i would say depending on traffic i would say between maybe 10 to 15 (less if it is mod 2 heavy traffic) Yes i am unexperienced i know that only being driving for a 1yr and only about 4months on man - so its ok know your not having a good

also, i think UNLESS young peoples attitudes change then there is no point in putting in any new rules becuase people are still going to brake them. The attitudes of a driver should be look at; for an example i am 17 and own a turbo skyline many people have already told me how stupid i am and that i will kill myself, but it doesnt really bother me as i know what my limits are, also i have NOTHING 2 PROVE which i find that most younger driver seem 2 have something 2 prove that there car is better than yours or that they are cool or a bigger man cuz they can beat you in a drag. unless the attitued of drivers change nothing else will no matter what laws are inplace, i think the government and police have not addressed this problem yet.

I am going for my driving test in the next few weeks and have taken a few lesson with a school (ken wife) and i can say the test isn't that hard, you just have to know your stuff and don't forget it. I find that some of the stuff in the test is stuiped e.g 1. for hill starts u MUST use HANDBRAKE or else u will lose points, i dont understand the point of this i can balance the clutch and the gas so the car wont roll but that doesnt matter 2. have to look every 8seconds in the rear mirrow - i see the point but i have never seen a driver doing this ect. some of the stuff is pointless and will be never use by most drivers after they past the test, i think driver education should be taken up a lvl for the people how own HP cars, so do not ban the cars just make it that the driver MUST complete a set amount of adv course

just on the point of street racing; i have always wonder if street racing is that dangrous (wait for my explaing) if it is not orgaisned (e.g. just drag someone off the lights) i found that , that may course more dangour. But if it is orgaisned isnt it controll 2 a point (i dont know here i am just guess, from watching 2f2f im guess im right )

i would also like those issues 2 be addressed JiMiH, also like to see the issue of police targeting groups of cars or people also addressed

JiMiH, that is a good point most drivers know when to back off, it is that few which keep going and indangero themselfs and more important other people on the road. I am no son of god, but i know when it is time 2 brake and just slow down, or walk away. It is your Choice what you do in your car, so if the police hold up there end and do not target anything it should work out

also, i remember back when there was all the stuff on the news about the hooning ect (when that lexus had the crash) and i remember one of the statments made by the head cop dude "we dont appolgues for targeting those sort of people" (something of those lines) so cops are already targeting HPI cars, wats going 2 happen after the new law comes into play..? also on the point of street racing, My brother Inlaw brother was stop by the cops and told he was racing when he was the only car on the road (yes that is right) becuase he accerlator hard they said he was racing.

hmmm, i think this is a good / bad idea. At the moment my skyline is in my dad's name for insurance, therefore what would happen if the person is done for the 3rd time in a car which they do not own ? i cant see how the government can just take away your car and sell it :confused: and like Lee said, i think people would be more likly 2 try and run if they know that will be losing there car

question: why do your cars stalled at the lights? I have the HKS SSQ bov, and it works fine, never stalled the car nothing, its makes a nice sound hard 2 descirbe (sounds like the bov from fast and the fuirous civas )

hey, I car is making a Kluck, it doesnt happen all the time i would say around 40% of the time, it sounds like the noise is coming from the driverside rear wheel. It happens sometimes on take off (Doesn't matter on the type of take off mainly on slow ones) it make a cluck noise. also sometimes when chaning from 4th into 5th i get the same noise. I had alook around at the back and couldnt see anything, also took everything out of my boot and look around everything is ok in there nothing is moving. i am soo confused about the whole thing got no idea where it is coming from and what it is? can anyone help? p.s i have stock shocks in the back Thanks Mike :headspin:

hello all, after i nice drive home from my gf 2night, and getting my ass wipe by a wrx and r33 i finally made the choice 2 start the chpt1 of modding in my car so far i have HKS Super Dragger Exhuast (no dump pipe) Aftermarket Turbo (still unsure of wat it is) AirFilter + CAI Bleed Value HKS SSQ BOV Heavy Duty Clutch Now for chpt 1: i would like to add some boost maybe 12 to 14psi at the moment it is running around stock .5bar so far my list to boost the car up to this lvl is FMIC (hybird 300x700x100 i think is the size) ECU (wolf3d) Or SAFC 2 Dump Pipe now i am no pro and i very new to HPI and the turbo stuff so could any give me some tips on if they are good next mods ect ect? My End goal is 500rwhp MAX (but like i said END GOAL) i would like to make between 270 and 320rwhp now any tips would be nice, i would also like some tips of brakes, handing ect upgrades thankyou mike
