Ask yourself why all the serious drag racers run auto gearboxes? Don't knock it until you've driven it. My current R32 is an auto, as was the last one I sold. Both faster than a manual R32 I drove recently. Great around town and for cruising. Still drive 'em manually through the twisties! Never drifted, so can't comment there, however have played sufficently to know that sliding an auto is easier than a manual and you can even brace yourself with the left foot as it isn't busy! :innocent:
