Visit as many breweries as you can: Asahi have a few breweries around - http://www.asahibeer.co.jp/english/companye/brewery.html Kirin have one near Yokohama They usually are 60mins long which includes a 20min session where you get to taste 2-3 schooners of beer for free. I heard that Himije Castle is under construction and wont be finished till 2012 or something, some parts of the castle is under white canvas tarps so you wont see everything. Miyajima island is pretty cool with all the deers and stuff. It's one station from Hiroshima and then cross the Ferry (Free if you have the JR Pass) Dont forget the peace museum and atomic bomb dome, also the okonomiyaki-mura place where they have very nice okonomiyaki. okonomiyaki-mura in Hiroshima: Miyajima Floating Tori: (When the tide was low you can walk to it)

One tip with accom. If you have a JR pass try and get accom close to JR stations like within 2-5min walk. Otherwise you'd be lugging luggage 2-5km away. Esp in a Large station and not know which way to go with 10000000's of people zooming by in peak hr.

SINGLE 4,500 YEN MEDIUM FOR 2 PEOPLE 6,500 YEN LARGE FOR 2 PEOPLE 7,500 YEN I was in the Large room, and was very good.

Cool re okonomura I'm gonna go there. Ill be in Japan in about 1.5 weeks. Will be in Hiroshima for 2 nights and 3 days. 2nd time being there, first time i was only there for 3-4hrs (Hiroshima that is).
