  1. My car came in with the passenger side shocks seized...YIPEEE (not). Anyway Perth exhaust centre quoted me $410 to replace the front shocks... I thought they were pretty good guys there. They helped me out in a time of need as well! But Nizmo - I hear what ya saying hun.... my tyres hit the arches going over bumpy parts in the road - its the most terrible noise, and the font end bounces around like a friggin bucking bronco. Juts gotta get some time and cash to get it fixed!
  2. I had my car broken into and all the stupid turds did was smash the window and throw stuff from the back seat on to the lawn. There was like $20 in the centre console and CD's. But they didn't touch it. I kinda wished they had made it worth their while and stolen something - then it wouldn't have seemed so pointless! Some cops don't give a rats either about it - to them it means paperwork.
  3. Macka - You say that I don't know much about parts etc - yes that may be true..... why do you think I put this post on here? I want to know where to get stuff for my car...and I know what stuff I want. I am new to the import industry... I imported my own car and learnt the hard way for everything to do with imports. I have sworn I will never import again. You make it sound bad cause I asked about pillar gauges ad BOV's.... but I was geniunley interested in these things! I was just trying to find out some places to go...that's all - places that cater for imports. As for the other thread about bagging or laughing at V8's - I respect a hotted up ford or commo - its good to see people taking interest in their cars. My comment on v8's was more to say - that "some" people think V8's are the ONLY high performance cars. I too have been humbled by a HSV :-(
  4. Thanks GTS-t! Is that per4manz shop in cannington? I live SOR and I don't see many shops around for imports.... I'm prolly not looking hard enough I just thought I would mention my funny exeprience at this shop....
  5. Hi Everyone From reading the sticker headcount threads I have found out that there is a great import performance shop - Auto Works! But is it just me or is there a serious lack of shops like this one in Perth?? I was driving on Welshpool rd and noticed a shop called something like "High Performance" something or rather.... so I pulled in for a look-see. I was in for a rude shock! I had a quick look around and the guy came up to me and asked if I was looking for something for my boyfriend......??? No - "hi can I help you" - but a quick assumption that I wasn't there for myself! Then I asked if he sold pillar gauges or BOVs. And he said something along the lines of " This is a high performance shop we only really sell stuff for V8's" I nearly choked with laughter  He did show me some books he pulled out of somewhere.... like the bin.... and offered to order pillar guages in for me. He had a few crappy BOV's in the corner of some cabinet as well. But I was really dissappointed that this shop and others like it - dis-count imports as high performance cars. Hs anyone else has similar experiences? It's like Perth is Holden/Ford country
  6. I bought a sticker yesterday - and couldn't wait to get home to put it on! I still feel a bit weird about having "skylines australia" on my 180sx..... but I LOVE the sticker (i got the one with the red - 2 of them). Thanks so much to the people who organised it!
  7. Heya Thanks for the details I will be going there today in my lunch break! Who is the owner of this shop?
  8. Hi I woud like to order them both! I think they look great. Thanks GTS-t for reassuring me that having a SAU sticker on my baby 180 would be ok! How to do we pay for them, pick them up etc etc??
  9. I am an newbie who drives a 180sx..... would it be crappo to have an SAU sticker on my car?
  10. I have also been screwed over by someone in the import industy -I did the right things and I went to Fair Trading with my compliant, and the trader accused me of all sorts of things and then he lied about what he had done etc. Basically I got NOWHERE . Fair Trading can still not enforce people to pay you back or relieve you of payment etc I am now about to take court action against this trader. Nothing spreads faster than word of mouth ... There are other ways to "f*uck over" a trader who did the wrong thing without holding other people liable for you libel actions
