  1. My mate had a guy in a falcon throw a VB bottle at him. He drives an S15, I'll find out if it was the same notorios GE
  2. I'm back with a new car...again! :headspin: This time it's a Galant VR4. I'm going to make an effort to actually turn up to events now, so I'll hopefully run into a few of you. Ewen, hit me up with a membership form. Cya round. Mark
  3. Yeah, boost is a great feeling. It can become addictive and you may need counselling  However for me, nothing compares to a 302 degree cam coming on power at 6000rpm.
  4. And I'm assuming you're talking about adjustable cam gears as well.
  5. You're only talking about gears right? I don't see the point unless you get the shafts as well, all you can do is change the timing of the stock shaft, which, unless you have a tool for measuring how far your number 1 valve is open at TDC, is not a good idea to play with.
  6. How do you know it's been removed? Most rev cuts don't cut in until after redline.
  7. VTEC engines require larger then normal exhaust systems. The H22A redlines about about 7600 from memory and has a lot of exhaust gas that needs removing. If he has extractors, there will be no loss of backpressure. My trueno for example runs 272 degree cams and has a full 2.5 system which allows it to breath at 9500rpm A lightly modified Vti-R prelude will run 15.2 easily. 100kw's at the wheels with the H22A is easily acquired. I think it would be close, turbo or no turbo, the H22A has balls of torque.
  8. My first impression when I got behind the wheel was "This car is special". I knew I was driving something that wasn't "normal". Steering and Handling felt responsive and not like a falcon or lethargic. Throttle wasn't particulalry responsive like in an s15, it was more like driving a VTEC car. Slowly building then *POW* power. I would definatley own one if I didn't have so many other cars I wanted to own first.
  9. I imagine that would form part of your temparature sender to the ECU.
  10. yeah, they're horns......
  11. Hahha, so true! (sunday rates) Pretty much what you've said is what I found out. Good luck
  12. You can also check your oil to see if it's smokey coloured. If so, waters in there. I'm still putting money on a piston Bad luck man
  13. Yeah, they're 4AGE NA. Parts are incredibly hard to find, particularly when the Aussie sprinter owners snap up all the panels to convert theirs to trueno look.
  14. Loosen your BOV About your Air/Con, sorry NFI
  15. I went through C Red Tuning in WA. It was about 16K to get it all sorted and over to ACT.
  16. As Amaru said, I don't think it's a turbo seal. I'm putting money on Melted/Banged piston.
  17. Ah I see, my mistake. I'll talk to a turner and fitter I know, I'll get back to you.
  18. What colour was the smoke.
  19. If I had a choice, I would get an alarm with a TT built in.
  20. 70-90 is considered in the "normal" range for operating temparature.
  21. It's listed in the workshop manual for the vehicle (at least for Toyota's)
  22. No, not this particular car, but the same idea.
  23. I hear you akeenan I know people down here who want to do this to their own cars, and I can't help but wonder why.
  24. Oh no! Stirlo found us! BTW that was some damn good cold tea!
