  1. how open ended is this in regards to exhaust modifications:

Noise level will be the most important factor in assessing any exhaust system. Close attention will be given to this factor during examinations and in the on-road situation.

  2. not to say that over 550hp is possible with a 25 block and head, but just ask paul how much work that is

(26 crank 2mm overbore big cams and TO4Z with 1.06 rear housing that came on boost by 4000 and full boosting by 5000 all the way to 8500 rpm....)

  3. rb25 - far easier and cheaper

get some cams, powerfc, and a gt30 and you will hit around 400-450 rwhp

dont know if he can remember that far back but pm mr president man aka "gts-t vspec" aka paul who you will find in the WT most days about his old setup

from what ive read he had a rb25 with a gt30 and some go-fast bits that made 450ish rwhp...

  4. quick answers

    yes, walbro, tomei, no, no

yes - the pump is a worthwhile upgrade as they are getting old

walbro or tomei or any other number of brands are good

no power upgrade by changing the pump, although you might get some top end power back if it is starting to choke (but you would be able to feel that in teh car)

only do injectors if the duty cycle is almost or is at 100% - which it wont

  5. but the thing is if you know what the gauges are (ie position) and what the needles usually sit at, all you need to do is take a quick glance, check the needle position and see how its going....

it the same with the gauges place under the head deck near the shifter - its hard to read them there aswell....

  6. if you can get the rb25 bottom end of your mate for 300 bucks then go for it

if the 5th cylinder is low on compression then i would most likely say that its a combination of rings and ring lands that are gone, and most likely the bore is seriously scratched

get the block of your mate, drop in new rings and bearings and put your head back on and voila - newish engine again

  7. Yahooauctions Japan if you can handle the wait. I bought a set about 3 weeks ago and I'm getting sick of the wait. hahaha.

yeah but to buy it straight of yahoo auctions japan yourself you need to have a contact in japan that can purchase it and ship it for you

they wont ship to overseas buyers

thats why import monster is so good as they have their own group of people that do the purchasing and shipping on behalf of you

and they only take a small commission for the service...
