  1. Sold, and I today I picked up my R32 with big power 25det in it : D : D
  2. lol that power curve must make it basically impossible to drive, nothing nothing nothing nothing PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS WHEELSPIN REVLIMITER lol
  3. My mate got through with a f**king noisy cusco 2 way diff in a cefiro with an rb25, would clunk and chirp and was completely obvious, inspectors didn't seem to care though?
  4. Yep got an emissions test all sorted.
  5. Decided to get the car in vic, have all the bits to make it pass an inspection supplied by the owner and the few that arent a mate is lending to me, refer here if you want to add any suggestions: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/De...80#entry4845591 Cheers
  6. Ok well here's the whole deal I am buying this car from VIC on Sunday and it is not engineered or registered with the RB25. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Eo...ts-t285533.html Now he is supplying me with 4 stock rims, afm and stock cooler + piping. I can get a stock ECU, entire intake with injectors, fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator off a mate. I can easily remove the catch can, turbo timer and replace any bushes, the suspension is non adjustable and is above 100mm in ALL places. I can also get an EPA test done that will pass and the exhaust is apparently very quiet, also the pod is mounted to the chassis. Now I know I am going to have to replace the intake and fuelling accessories, the ECU, put the stock AFM back, remove the vented catch can and turbo timer but can I get away the front mount and the suspension? Is it even possible to pass with the ECU providing it passes the EPA test with it installed? It is plug and play so no fuss replacing it but would make it easier if I could leave the ecu + the fueling system in place as this will be the biggest pain in the ass. Oh also the engine numbers will obviously not match up as the car is still registered with the RB20, providing they check that the car has the R33 turbo brakes and it passes the inspection will they give me authorisation to get it registered? Anyway thanks guys, wish me luck. I've got 2 months of rego left on it so I will just drive it around on VIC plates until I get all these things sorted.
  7. If the car is stock is there anything else I need to do to the car to make it pass?
  8. Not defected but Im taking a 32 with a 25det in it through regency as it is from Victoria, with the brake upgrade will 33 slotted rotors and callipers on the front be enough? Or do I need to replace the rear brakes as well? and if so how much should I expect to pay for the callipers, I will be buying the rotors separately brand new. Cheers.
  9. They don't look that hard to remove/fit so I might even just borrow my mates one for a day or two.
  10. Looks like I will have to swap the fuel rail over as well. Or do some fancy hiding of the ecu.
  11. What about if I put resistors on them to match the impedance? Worst case I can just borrow the fuel rail from a mates rb25.
  12. I need to pass an inspection with an R32 + RB25 with an aftermarket fuel rail with GTR injectors in it run by a Wolf3D. Now I was just planning on swapping the ecu over just as I drive in as it is plug and play, will the car still run just really rich ?
  13. Probably is for an rb30 or an old redtop rb20. My rb30s and old rb20 both leaked when using 5-40 fully synth. When I put 10-40 semi synth in them they stopped burning and leaking oil. Protection wise theres no such thing as too thin oil, but on an old motor with poor tollerances too thin oil will leak and get in places it shouldn't.
  14. I'm looking at buying an R32 with an RB25 with a GCG highflow, 20det box and a heavy duty organic clutch. It is making ~220kw at the moment on low boost but is likely to make ~250 when tuned for 18psi. Will the box and clutch last if I shift slowly and smoothly? or will the power alone melt the clutch and then with a button the box?
  15. Think I just spoke to you on the phone hehe.
  16. Sounding like a bit too much of a hassle, think I will keep looking for something local.
  17. I'm looking at purchasing an R32 skyline with an RB25DET in it from VIC, now the car is registered but only with the RB20DET so when I get it inspected at sturt it will obviously fail the numbers check. What would I need to change to get it through a regency inspection? I know it needs R33 brakes. The car currently has a aftermarket fuel reg, pod, fmic, high flow turbo, exhaust, wold 3D ecu, vented catch can, rims and suspension. http://img42.imageshack.us/img42/2346/skyline2h.jpg Now the owner has said he can supply the original ecu, afm, stock cooler and piping and wheels. I can get an exhaust that is stock off a mate to put on it. How many of these things would need to be changed to get it past? I was planning on changing them all minus the fuel reg, however I'd rather not change the ECU unless its necessary, as it would be dangerous to run the motor with a stock map. Also how much would the change of rego cost? Is it much on top of the standard transferral fees ?
  18. Can you post some pictures on the internet? I don't have a picture capable phone.
  19. That would mean it would need a full inspection if I tried to transfer the rego to another state, and then when they see the engine number doesn't match up would need to be engineered yes? Either way sweet ride, exactly what I am after, would be very interested if there was a no fuss way to transfer the rego to SA without the possibility of a defect or requiring to be engineered.
  20. Is it registered with the RB25 ?
  21. Registered with the RB25 ?
