  1. Is the oil cooler still for sale? If so what type of filter does it use? How much to post it to melb? Cheers, Sandy
  2. Not enough metal heads on the forum ! listenening to; the haunted - the dead eye awsome album. Sandy
  3. I had a 90 GTiR prior to the r32 GTR, and the GTiR's r really nice/fast cars. Yep, understeer like a barstard with stock suspension. Gearbox's dont like abuse (mine held together just fine from 80K to 110k - written off - with near stock power (exhaust/pod). Damn expensive to fix when compared to purchase price. People have achieved 200Kw @ wheels with stock turbo (FC and other mods) but you would probably need a new turbo or a really fresh car to achieve this. I had an exhaust knocked up with no dramas. 3" stainless. I do miss that car! Cheers, Sandy
  4. Try MWT in Preston, chifly drive, just up from northland shopping complex. Good blokes, well priced. Cheers, Sandy.
  5. Go the same prob at the mo, heads coming off this week to check it out (plus some other stuff while there). Sandy.
  6. Maybe just adding the turbo from VL (plus injectors, ECU etc) is a good power level to be at. Does anyone know hao reliable that setup is? I know that when in 2WD in the GTR the rears absolutly bake (237rwkw) so I know that feeling and dont want that with the R31. Cheers, Sandy

    Exhaust Help

My 32 GTR came with a 3 and 1/2" mild steel exhaust with 4 and 1/2" cannon, wasnt too loud, made 237rwkw. I changed it for a 3" stainless, peak power dropped by 4kw (7000rpm) but gained 5kw from between 2500 and 6000 rpm. The 3" is very quiet, but doesnt sound as aggressive when booting it, and looks almost stock. Cheers, Sandy
  8. If your in Melb, MWT in Preston can do it for you. Great blokes talk to Theo or Costa. Cheers, Sandy
  9. Hey Slip, where r u coming from when u say u prefer worked rb30 to a rb25det? Im looking at both options at the mo so Im interested to find out what u think. Also thinking bout vl turbo injectors, ecu, turbo etc with NA rb30 compression, 6psi. Cheers, Sandy
  10. Hey all, Ive got a simillar problem with my R32 GTR (4wd ECU flashes 1 flash per second for 18 seconds, and repeats), but the 4wd light comes on on startup and will normally go away after re starting. I'm still investigating, will look at ETS pressure switch. Cheers, Sandy
  11. Nice sleeper in VIC/NSW? what diff/tailshaft? Engineers cert? Cheers, Sandy
  12. When getting quotes for insurance its worth calling the same place multiple times, as I found they dropped the price each time I spoke to a different operator. Its also worth bargining with them. Also be aware that there is more to an insurnace policy than premium/excess/amount covered. Some policys are far superior than others and you have to pay for that. Cheers, Sandy.
  13. Also got 4 wheels and tyres from XG Ford, with caps and wheel nuts. GC $50 Need more space in shed, make me an offer. Prices negotiable. Cheers, Sandy
  14. Location melbourne. Pads are included. Also have a power steering resovior to suit r32 $10 good condition Flywheel to suit GTiR pulsar $10 good condition. Cheers.
  15. Shed clean out time. Selling; R32 GTST 4 piston calipers and rotors good condition (rotors need machining) taken from imported half cut but not used on previous car. $300 ono - SOLD R32 GTR passenger side door lock motor - good condition $50ono, and lower portion of rear seat - has one minor cig burn. $50ono Pics to come. Cheers, Sandy. e-mail [email protected]
  16. Ive looked at cars from JSA multiple times over the last couple of years and 99% of them are rubbish. I had the sales guy try some bullshit on about fixing all the problems id pointed out with an R32GTR I was intersted in, and then 5min later said they would have trouble getting in most of the parts. Be wary, dodgy. Cheers. Sandy
  17. Had Hankook K104s on GTiR - excellent tyre for price, nice and grippy - well priced. Just put new Hankook RS-2's on GTR - more than I wanted to pay for tyres but check the grip - sticky as (including wet), best tyres Ive had. Rears still spin up, but vast improvement over the hard old 'visa' tyres they replaced. Cheers, Sandy
  18. PET mods in Thomastown are also worth a look at for those in Melbourne looking for a tune/mech work. Cheers, Sandy
  19. The price of 17000 sounds good, but the GTR you get for that price would be a rotton, rusty, bent, smoke bellowing (from the wrong places) piece of crap.
