  1. I had looked into getting their kit, you wouldn't have any pics of the windows that you got from them? I was thinking of getting the 4mm clear set with borders.
  2. I'm in Brisbane, so just the south east QLD ones for now.
  3. No it doesn't, when I bought the car it was, over the last 2 years I've pulled it down and rebuilt/modified it with no rule book/class in mind, I plan to use it in sprints/time attacks type events. I have just left the stickers on all this time.
  4. Finally getting my p.o.s tuned after about 2 years of owning/building it, hopefully ready for the start of 2012. Still lots of little things to finish up, tow hooks, under trays, vents, brackets, windows, etc.
  5. Hey all, I just got my car running with a Motec M8/Standard ECU setup but now I have my 4WD and A-LSD light on the dash coming on when I drive it. I have noticed that my A-LSD pump is running constantly when the ignition is on. I have checked the attessa control unit and it's telling me an error code "55" which I believe is "Air bleed switch and circuit" I couldn't find any references in the manuals I have, or on the net, I have bled the whole system again but still cannot seem to clear the error... Anybody had any experience with this error?
  6. I thought that you could just tap into the existing wire aswell, but apparently not, I do not know why...
  7. Thanks for that info. I got the circuit diagram and infomation from Marck McCoy who works for Motec, he has been very helpful, I can forward you his email address if you wish?
  8. Nearly finished off the loom today, but I ran into one problem... Wiring up the crank angle sensor's power.... The crank angle sensor power runs at 12v (battery voltage) in the factory setup... But the Motec wiring diagram has it wired up to 8v supply.. it was wired up on 8v before and working (running), but I need to wire the crank angle sensor signals into the factory ECU and into the Motec both at the same time... Should I wire it up to 8v? or 12v? just worried about the factory ecu will not read it properly on 8v supply....and vise versa with the Motec with it at 12v supply
  9. I gave up on the idea of running it standalone. The Motec can drive the tacho itself, but the problem is the TPS signal that goes to the ETS computer, the ATTESSA output. You need to make a little circuit and the settings for the M800 are: no problem if your running a M800, but on the M8 the highest frequency I could put in was 1000hz, and I also ran out of outputs, I needed 1 x tacho output, 1 x tps signal, 1 x fuel pump, 1 x thermofan, 1 x boostcontroller, 1 x shift light. M8 only has 4 outputs, M800 has 8. I am currently rewiring my whole engine loom to run the M8 with the stock ecu again.
  10. Hey, I am chasing a R33 GTR engine harness. The whole loom from ECU to the engine. Thanks!
  11. Hey, I am chasing a R33 GTR engine harness. The whole loom from ECU to the engine. Thanks!
  12. what type of injectors are you guys using? so many brands around these days..
  13. I swapped over the ignition wires this morning and she started up on all 6! thanks rob82. Now I've found a rear half moon cam cover plug oil leak and a turbo water fitting leaking so its back in pieces again. For the guys running the Motec stand alone, what did you do about the tachometer/attessa signal? Thanks again!
  14. I think I have done the altessa wiring correct so far ( throttle position wire and ground ) just have to do the engine speed signal to it, thats next on the to do list. Have found the wire running from the tacho around to the ETS computer so will tap into the signal into that, just have to make up something up to convert the Motec signal into the Nissan 5v and I am hoping the tacho and ETS will work.
  15. Yeah it explains everything that is going wrong, I just never thought of 2nd guessing their diagram. Your a life saver!
  16. rob82 really? I will rewire it and see how I go, I just went off the Motec diagram
  17. Thanks all for the replies! R31Nismoid- it was a rule a few years ago? they might of removed it over the last few events maybe? doo-doo- that would be awesome if I could get in contact with some one that has done this before on a GTR, I am in Brisbane also. R32 TT- Thats what I thought, why run a motec and a stock ecu together, I wanted the Motec to do it all, I have searched the Motec forums and posted a thread in the '"old ecu's" section but no response yet (only posted it up there this morning) PHat MR30- I bought the car from John Atherton about 2 years ago (he had 2 x R33 GTR's, both competing in Targa Tas in 2003 one driven (mine) by Paul Bergmann and John driving the other, the sister car of mine is probably most famous for in "Love the Beast") and before John owned my car it was owned by John Teulan as a circuit car.I have stripped it and rebuilt it with new built motor, fuel system, proflex/mca suspension, etc. taking it back to a circuit setup. TO4GTR- I tried swapping around the coil packs, and even put a set of old stock ones in, same problem, I also swapped around the injectors from cylinders that I knew were working into ones that didn't (moved cyl 1,2,3 injectors into 4,5,6.) but the problem stays in #4 and #6. I have given the ECU to Nick Ashwin (NA Motorsports/Neal Lowe) who has been really helpful, he is going to get it checked out for me. Also, what have you guys done with Engine Speed signal for the tacho and ETS computer? I was going to try and use the Motec's ignition combiner but they no longer make the product. Thanks again guys, I was starting to get really frustrated, I just want to race the damn thing already!
  18. Hey all, I am having dramas with a Motec M8 in a R33 GTR. When I purchased the car it was running the Motec M8 and the standard ECU, the car is a ex Targa Tas car, and as I believe in the regulations the car had to be able to be run on the factory ECU and that is the only reason the stock unit was in the car. Now after about 1 1/2 years I have rebuilt the car and rewired the whole loom with running the Motec as the standalone ECU, but... The motor seems to be only running on 4 cylinders All the injectors and ignition all work fine in diagnostics, but once started cylinder #4 and #6 do not work, it seems cylinder #1, #2, #3, and #5 are the only ones that work. I have now run out of ideas... I have checked/changed: Spark plugs Injector wiring Injectors Coil pack wiring loom Coil packs Ignition module Ignition module wiring (IGN1, IGN 2, and IGN3) Ignition coil firing pairing (1/4, 2/5, 3/6) Crank angle sensor Crank angle sensor wiring (8v, sync, ref, and ground) Compression tested all cylinders 150psi All were fine with no errors found. I spoke a local well respected Motec tuner today to see if they had any ideas or could look at the car with a scope and they said it is too difficult to get a Motec M8 to work on a I.T.B RB26 and I should be looking at another ECU... I don't understand how that is possible... I am now thinking of sending the ECU to Motec to have it inspected/tested for any faults and flashed back to factory settings. Anybody done this before? any ideas? Thanks.
  19. The car doesn't have the stock ecu/loom in it anymore, so I couldn't trace the wire that way, I did find a R32 diagram which I found the pin ids on. I'll attach it so if anybody else needs them in future. That's all done now but now I can't get the tacho signal to work out of the Motec, I have wired it up to a PWM output and set it to their settings for a Nisaan, has 5v on the wire in testing but tacho does not move at all, which I need the engine speed signal for the ETS ECU Is there another way of getting engine speed signal for the tacho/ets ecu, tapping into the c.a.s 1 degree wire?
  20. Noddy, have you done anything to the boot? I pulled mine off the other day and it's rather heavy, the shocks and hindges were about 3kg in total alone, was thinking of cutting out all the innder webbing of the boot, piss off the hindges and run pins/straps.
  21. Would anyone happen to have or know the ATTESA E-TS Pro ECU connector pin id? I am installing a Motec M8 into a R33 GTR and need to rewire the throttle position and engine speed from the motec to the attesa ecu but cannot find any infomation on what wire is what. I can only find the image below, so any help is much appreciated. Thanks.
  22. how thick were the spacers you used? just washers on a longer bolt?
  23. Hey mate I am chasing these parts: R33 Dash surround + gear shifter surround (manual) R33 Rear boot trim (This Trim) R33 steering column plastic surround + the ignition barrel surround/ring (this bit) R33 Boot lock/badge R33 Front guard 'GT' badges available? if so how much, thanks.
  24. Hey mate I'm after: R33 Dash surround + gear shifter surround (manual) R33 Rear boot trim (This Trim) R33 steering column plastic surround + the ignition barrel surround/ring (this bit) R33 Boot lock/badge R33 Front guard 'GT' badges Do you have any of these?
