I've got a nismo front bar.. as you can see it is a different design to the normal SII front bar in that they aren't included with the blinkers. Instead they normally sit below the 2 rectangular squares on either side of the number plate.. They may be "driving lights" - however i'm under the impression they are fog lights..

Reason your search didn't turn anything up is because it's set to 30 days or newer - goto search - set it to 365 days or newere or any date and search again.. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...topic=45503&hl= should give you the answer - you can short it - my mistake..
-
If you get a consult cable you can get conzult which will give you the diagnostics for you ECU. as for shorting it.. that won't help you too much.. download teh service manual for the R33.. or do a search.. i'll check it out and see if I can help.. it's out there..

Evening everyone.. After having done my dyno run on the weekend i've noticed that my car is running quite rich.. Was also talking to the mechanic there and he was asking about editing the ROM as I had Doodz consult cable + software running while I was on the dyno.. Anyways - got to work today and thought i'd spend the day looking up Programming the EEPROM for the skylines and what you could do.. I've managed to find some software that can do it + some maps or *.adr files which take you to the correct location.. With these I can change the following: (supposedly) # # # NISSAN ECR33 RB25DET MAP ADDRESS (E) # # Variable,Start-Address,X,Y,Map size,value,Map-name #UNIT NAME TYPE_UNIT,ECR33(RB25DET),*,*,* #HIGH/LOW octane Fuel map. Now after having dumped that out - some people would understand it some won't.. i'm wondering if anyone on ehre does - has done it before - or knows how to.. I'm guessing you'd pull of the data from the ECU than tweak the appropriate hex entrys.. Having a dyno on hand plus consult would let you monitor it.. it's this or buy an Apexi Power FC pretty much.. anyways was wondering what peoples thoughts were.. you'd need an EEPROM burner and that's about it really.. wish I was still at uni - could have borrowed their one. I don't think your going to find many places that let you hire a skyline.. and as for people letting you drive theirs.. don't think that'll happen either.. I don't even let my best mates drive mine.. let alone someone I don't know.. also - won't you be drinking at your formal? why would you want to drive.. don't you want someone to drive you?

Just noticed that the 34 Vspec from SA was in Speed Issue 7.. must've been sold from the original owner.. John Munro or James maybe.. he owned a number of them ..

98-97 R33 Gtst M Spec Vs 90-91 Gtr
Links replied to woodsy144's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I've got a 98 R33 - great car, however goto say if I had a) the money behind me and B) ability to service/repair stuff myself and didn't mind an older car i'd get a 90/91 GT-R.. depends on what your after + if you have things like low kms, lower repair costs, newer car, newer parts than go for the R33 gts25t.. really - drive both and decide what you want.. by the time you've bought a 98 R33 for 21,000 + insurance + other costs it will be about 24k/25k.. rather a gt-r could cost you about 21 - 24k for a decent one + other costs.. anyways - good luck.. i'd love a Gt-r though - ATESSA system, RB26DETT and also lighter.. however i'm happy with mine.. RWD is good as well.. -
below 0 it's in vacuum - over 0 is boost as said above.. +7 = 14.5psi or 1 bar pretty much.. as there is a dual stage boost solenoid - < 4,500rpm it should be 5psi or below half.. than it should go to a bit over half - 8psi from > 4,500rpm.. i'd suggest getting a boost gauge..
-
Not in the service manual.. maybe there is something in the R33 owners book.. which of course i'm still trying to find..
-
Shit - unlucky.. yeah need to take care in the wet - specially when it's lightly raining as all the grease comes up as you know.. hopefully everything will be fixed up and you'll be back on the road.. i'd suggest holding off on the mods for a while - get used to having 150kw and do some skidpan work.. than decide what to do.. hope it all goes well..

Does someone have a pic of the R33 driving fog lights.. My 40th Annv has some rust + 4 holes in the front bar where they were mounted, would appear that they were taken off either a) when compliancing as fog lights are illegal here to use when generally driving or B) on the boat/before it got here.. I've still got the wires and also the blinker stick (wtf is it called) has the toggle for it, so i'm looking at maybe finding some and fitting them again.. otherwise - what are the options - just got buy some foggies.. I like the R33 ones from what i've seen they're small and round kinda ball like.. Anyways - wondering if anyone has a pic or knows where I can get them from.. Cheers. links

All Stars Get Their Name In Lights
Links replied to donnie's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Hmmm my 40th Annv doesn't do that.. have to check it out.. amuses me when people get in and the green lights up around their feet.. first couple of times people said "you put neons in did you.." nearly fcuking slapped them out of my car.. would love to get a list of options that you could get with the 40th annv. does your friends have the antenna heigh switch - lets you put it up 1/2 way or full.. also - mine came with fog lights - but looks like they've been removed and cut off - still got the wires + switch on the blinker stick.. -
Yeah - pretty much it's so you know how close something is behind you.. Pretty much meant to stop you from changing lanes and taking the front of the car behind u off.. that's about it really..
-
I'm guessing you pushed it a bit too hard did you.. how long have you had the car..

I found a good cheap boost controller for $22!!!
Links replied to CEF11E's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Have ordered one from mark.. Will be trying it out this week when it arrives.. hopefully going to the dyno day on sat. So if i've got it by than i'll strap it on and let ppl know how it goes with and without the controller.. -
I'm still weighing up what i'll do.. if i'm heading to the Dyno Day.. I might hold off on an oil change - I know - would make sense to do it first (maybe.. - only done 2,500kms on the current oil).. If I don't head there - i'll def be doing an oil change.. either with help.. or by myself.. just jack it up.. unscrew the screws.. drain the oil.. put back together.. refill.. and voila.. oil change.. do people recommend flushing with mineral oil? to clean it out, make sure there is no blockages.. anyways - regardless of whether I do mine or not, def want to be there.. i'll post up later this week what i'm up to.. Stan does needs help though..
-
On a side not.. saw this earlier this morning.. just down the road from my place.. unlucky.. damn unlucky.. looks like someone came down the hill a little to fast..
-
Had an R31 wagon boost it past me other direction at manly/balgowlah.. sounded nice.. anyone know who owns it.. anyone on here.. boosting is as good a way as sayin hi in my books lol

Gearbox Bolt Wont Budge!?!
Links replied to silver gts-t's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
lol cc.. i'd say heating it is good.. worse comes to worse... umm.. buy a new gearbox.. just jokin.. if you can get the drain plug open than yeah you can atleast fill it through the gear stick.. -
Mate.. goto say that's verrrrryyy unfotunate.. Stupid thing is you weren't racing.. even if he was accelerating your still not racing, nothing wrong with opening a car up.. especially if you keep < speed limit.. I fail to see how that's dangerous.. oh wait.. it isn't.. unfortunately the courts will not see it from your view, they'll take the cops word, which sucks.. are you getting booked for speeding out of interest? or just street racing..
