  1. I've found this ecu on ebay; http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Factory-96-skyline-...1QQcmdZViewItem if I bought that, would connecting all up be something that will cost me a alot? They have an auto electrician at the place also I think
  2. Also, are there aftermarket ECUs for these auto boxes I can get maybe? if so, what are their names?
  3. My VL is getting an RB25det put in at the moment. The half cut was originally a manual, but an auto box got sent with it instead, as I wanted. The mechanics ring me up and said the R33 auto box didnt come with an ecu or wiring, and said I should probably leave my current gearbox there as its too much of a hassle...... If I can actually get an ecu, is it much of a hassle to connect it all, or are they just crapping on? I really dont want the VL auto in there...........
  4. I need an automatic ecu for an R33 GTST auto gearbox. PM me
  5. what... I thought R32s and R33s were sold here, seeing as they are actually quite a common car.....? anyone know what they sold for straight from Nissan in Yen? I'm just curious is all. Not selling or buying anything, only mentioned the GTST 4 door in particular because my Rb25det came out of one.
  6. Does anyone have a list of what Skylines and their individual models costed when they were new, here in Australia? particularly want to know the price of series 1 R33 GTST 4 door.
  7. strange, because with the overdrive on VLs, I drive with it on (pwr button sticking out) since it doesnt really come into effect until you go over 70 anyway. I only have it off if I'm going up hills or have a heavy load
  8. so its 4 gears PLUS overdrive? I thought overdrive was counted as the 4th?
  9. cool, thanks for the information fellas just the kinda info I was looking for
  10. Hey, I drive a VL (dont flame me, haha), and at the moment, a stock RB25det plus an automatic gearbox from an R33 GTST is being fitted..... Sorry if this is the wrong forum, and I searched but could find anything, but, I just want to know what this gearbox is like to drive? Please dont compare it to a manual, I just want to know if its good box for an auto, like does it change gears nicely, etc? Also, what things normally go wrong with them, what common troubles do they get? If someone can link me to a review of an automatic R33 GTST, maybe that would be helpful. thanks (edit: this should probably be in 'drivetrain and transmission forum, can this thread be moved?)
  11. as the title says pm me. would prefer the seller be in canberra/queanbeyan area thanks!
  12. I have an RB30 non-turbo with extractors, auto gearbox, auto ecu and tailshaft (wont separate!) for sale, engine has 274,XXXkms on it, but runs perfectly, doesnt leak any oil, etc etc. Its from a series II VL Berlina, so the bottom end is the same as the turbo model. Wont be available until about May 23rd/24th.... definitly within that week. Whatever else comes out of my car should be included (if wanted) $600. $270 - engine $100 - gearbox $150 - extractors $30 - ecu $50 - tailshaft Everything is in good condition, nothing wrong with them, the reason for selling is an engine conversion. (only thing that needs replacing is the pcv valve hose thing, with the yellow tape around it. It has a hole in it. They're only ~$10, if that) If you are interested in buying and want to see the engine running, currently in my VL, email me at [email protected] I am in CANBERRA. (buyer will have to pick the stuff up, or arrange delivery at own expense)
  13. lol, well thats silly because a good driver will never get their lisence suspended in the first place!!
  14. I went and got a fairly rough quote off ed today, he seems like a pretty cool bloke, and definitly knew what he was talking about. I'll defnitly be goin to him to get the job done. I said all you guys sent me! :Pimp2:
  15. haha, thanks for the info people! yeah, just throwing in a stock r33 rb25det with r33 auto.
  16. Anyone go to Premier Automotive in Mitchell? I wanna know what people think of em. Also, does this Ed guy at Integra Automotive do engine conversions? I might go there and get them to quote me on dropping an RB25det into my VL. Hopefully he works saturdays? Anyways, when I go, should I say that one of you sent me? Thanks, Daniel
  17. I have a 'wanna be' skyline, lol.... VL Commodore. Its a bit of a sh1tbox atm, its N/A RB30, and the paint has almost faded to bare metal in some parts.... But soon i am going to drop an RB25DET in, hopefully a neo if i can get one for the right price. After that i'll change the exterior fully to Calais then go for a spray. Currently though 1987 VL Berlina N/A RB30E 3 spd auto lowered by pedders (meh, lol) VZ SV8 Commodore 17" wheels Extractors, hot-dog, 2.5 redback exhaust, redback muffler, 2.5" chrome tip Alpine head-deck, four 6" alpine speakers, alpine mrp-350 amp, two 12" subs in dual box bolted into the car. Alarm/immobiliser/keyless entry wood grain steering wheel new radiator and crank angle sensor (about 2 months old) i drive around a lot, so you might have seen me (pushin it to its limits, which isnt too much mind you, lol) i'll try and get some pictures soon....
  18. I tried searching the forums and couldnt find anything, and if i am posting this in the wrong forum, sorry. I would just like to know what the weight of an RB30 N/A is, and the weight of an RB25det Neo is?
  19. ... an RB25DET NEO plus auto gearbox, with ecu and everything needed to drop straight into a VL and have it running. Purchase will be made in 3 - 4 months, so if anyone will hold one for me that would be fantastic. Or you could just help me out by posting websites of places that sell what I am looking for. help would be very much appreciated thanks, EDIT: I've changed my mind, i'm looking for any RB25DET, not just neo. Daniel.
