Whos Good At Guessing Prices

have you bent that LHS chassis rail? Is the front cross member damaged, often with an impact like that you strech the bolt holes for the lower control arm. I hope your handy with the 9 inch grider and the mig... look on the bright side, as part of the repair job, you can ditch the factory (and bent) IC and put a front mount in If you can do the repairs yoursell it would cost around $1000, but more like $3000 if a crash shop did all the work. R32 GTR Gearbox Adelaide
BigMicky replied to BigMicky's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
still available, still the cheapest GTR box in the country.... -
Thanks for the responses so far guys. It looks like its possible then but.... Has anyone done this with a factory ECU or PFC?

Is it possible to use the R34 GTR coils on an R32 GTR? I know they are different and the 32 ones use an igniter module and the 34 ones have inbuilt igniters, but are they interchangeable? Has anyone done this? The plan is to buy a set of splitfire coils so I dont need the 15 year old igniter anymore. Cheers, Mick

before you pull anything apart, you can pressure test the whole cooling system. Any radiator shop can do this. You just pump 15-20psi into the radiator and see if it leaks.

Goign To Japan For A Week To Buy A Car!
BigMicky replied to zer0for0je's topic in General Automotive Discussion
you may have compliancing issues buying a modified car..... and I think there are plenty of 32's here already to buy at fairly cheap prices. BUT..... If you want a holiday to japan anyway, I'm sure it would be fun. -
First ask yourself if you need tuneability and plan on doing other mods, because if your happy with the current power you have, you cant beat a second hand AFM for $100 and everything runs exaclty like it did before and is legal

John is a nice guy BUT....... he has heaps of timewasters taking up his days and doesnt want to deal with tyre kickers. If you like a car on his website, ring him, organise a time to look a the car, take a $500 cash deposit. Inspect the car very well and if you like it, give him the deposit. Dont bother trying to haggle, the prices are firm. I bought a 32 from him about 6 weeks ago and everything was good, I replaced the front discs and upper control arm bushes then got through regency first time

Funny you should mention that..... I'm in the middle of a conversion right now Costs are Gearbox $500 -700 Flywheel $100 -150 Clutch $ 200 and up Clutch Pedal $20 Hydraulics $80 Spigot bush $7 Interior bits $30 Tailshaft $100-150 so approx $1500 plus labour, If you could get a drive in drive out for under $2k, you'd be laughing. and the auto stuff you pull out is worthless, I want $50 for the lot... trans, tailshaft, shifter etc, but nobody wants it.

I bought some good rotors from import spares in windsor gardens the other week for $66 each, they have some more down there....

I had a similar problem in a commodore a few years back. The head was corroded between a water gallery and oil gallery. Since the cooling system runs at 13psi max, and oil pressure is more like 40 psi, the radiator fills with oil, but the engine still runs good with no water in the oil. So I'm saying head problem...

R32 Gtst New Rotors And Pads....?
BigMicky replied to Bl4cK32's topic in Suspension, braking and tyres
r32 gtr would be an easy upgrade, straight bolt off, bolt on. all you need is the discs and calipers. I've got some in my shed you can have a look at, quite a bit chunkier than the ones you've got now. I dont want to sell mine, but you can have a look to get an idea how they differ. Oh, and to make the job all that cheaper, I have a mate that would be interested in your current set up. -
I'll take the throttles. I'll pick up if in adeliade, if not I'll pay for freight. PM me your details. Cheers, mick

You'll get a turbo 32 for around 10k auto or 11k manual... should be able to get a non-turb one for $8k. Yahoo motorsports has a non-turb manual 32 for $6k. by the time you add compliance and rego it'd be on the road for about $7200
