I'm going to Japan in June to visit my sister in tokyo with my dad, so apart from all the other stuff to do in Japan i really want to get along to a couple of drift events. Can anyone tell me how often D1 events are held and where, i also wouldn't mind going to other events just to have a watch. Distance and cost is not a factor as i can mooch off the old man while i'm there.

As the title says i'm looking for a set of 18" nismo lm gt4 or rota gtr's to suit a 33 gtst. Since the group buy for these rims seems to be going no where i thought i'd try in here

Also if i can get a number for the business selling these so i can still get some if i can't make the deadline for the group buy. Cheers

Bee-Rs i read somewhere on this forum wont fit on a gtst as they are only 9.5 wide. They look similar to drift teks and nismo lm-gts. Some one is organising a group buy in the . . . . group buy section for these wheels in 18" so check it out.

Looking to get a set of rims for a 33 but just need a thumbs up first. I read N1GTRS sticky on offset and just want some advice. Would it be ok for +30 18" 8.5 on the front and +30 18" 9.5 on the back or should i stick with 8.5 all around. Any help appreciated as i don't want to buy rims i can't use.

What is the best offset for r33 gtst and gtr? Cheers

Not sure if any one has done this but, what is involved in replacing the rear right gaurd in a 33 gtst. i'm looking at getting a 33 that has been hit in the rear right that has gtr gaurds. The gaurd has be sourced but what is involved in fitting? It looks like the gaurds continue in the roof to make one huge panel. Would this be a cut and weld up job? If so am i looking at a major respray or just the panel. Thanks

Just make sure when you get it done that every mod is engineered. My friends 1200 ute had a CA18 in it and was engineered for all the mods except back brakes were listed as stock drums but were upgraded to discs and they got him for that. This was a defect station however so RTA engineers were going over the car. The cops claimed that it was mainly to get rust buckets off the streets but we only saw ricers and imports get brought in. They should just go out and say it they are manufacturer racist towards the japanese. j/k

Nothing was changed in the boot was sealed as per stock can vouch for it.

My mate said it comes like that, and the cop said it had to be enclosed by something better then the plastic gaurd that they come with, and then me and my other friend drove past and stopped to say hello and my other friend said his 33 was like that too. Then the cop told me to leave or he'd defect me too. They got him for heaps and heaps of useless stuff like tints, steering wheel, and the usual rims exhaust bov tyres. Being a shit sturer (spelling?) my friend decided to tell the cop he was just jelous he didn't have line. Ended up with two counts of not inicating out of round-a-bouts, one ocount of not staying to left of round-a-bout (something done in a carpark) and a long list of defects. So it does come down to the cop and/or how much you encourage them

If you get a douche bag cop you'll get done just because he can. That said cops are more relaxed about exhausts then before. My friends 33 got defected for having the battery in the boot. which as we all know is stock standard set up for 33's. So depends on the cop
