what I am wondering is what about the balancing of the rim? and if you had new tyres fitted and balanced wouldn't those weights not go on or chip off the bog if the guy tried to place weights in damaged locations?

I never understood stealing a GTR, surely they realise there are other more valuable cars on the road ... just take your average new merc/audi/bmw and it'll be worth far more than one.

yep you're just going to have to assume the worse...even things like compression tests can only tell you a few things. but in the almost 3 years of owning my GTR it hasn't cost more than the regular servicing, battery (due to lack of driving), tyres and coil pack. Actually quite cheap to run for a 12 year old car...but I baby her

I always thought if you wanted a fwd bmw then just buy the new mini... otherwise I wouldn't worry about how it looks, with the camo and styling cues I would say it will look a lot different.

afaik you take colour codes in to autobarn then they mix it as per the paint handbook. I know places like bunnings used to be able to colour match any sample colour you bring to them and make house paint for you, but car paint...who knows? Maybe they can give you the tinting colours to make the colour you want and you can take it to an auto shop to ask for a spray can using those colours...

But can he beat Luizzi...practice sessions are pretty useless as an indicator but looking at his pace in the TR vs other TR drivers shows him to usually be consistently slower, so a full race might not be flattering at all if he is half a second a lap off Luizzi at the back of the pack. But if he can make it to the finish it will be on for the next race! He will probably go safe for silverstone.

the equivalent crop lens is the 17-55mm 2.8 nikon which is good, but for crop sensors. They are both good lenses, I have used both but the 24-70 is an expensive piece of glass. If you are planning to move to FF then get it, all you need is that and the 70-200VR to cover most of the photos you'll ever take. If you need wide, you can get a 17-35mm 2.8 but that's pricey too. If money is tight you could consider the sigma 24-70 2.8 which is also a FF lens and I have that one. Bit softer when at wide apertures but at less than half the price you can't complain.

Just so you people know I spoke to a former TEG officer and he said the TEG police were targeting those idiots in white vans doing stupid stuff and the people that associated with them. Some innocent people might have been caught up in it all but I'd place the blame on bogan white van drivers instead of a target on JDM owners as bringing attention.

until I fix my window I don't wind it down so I try to wave but due to the dark tinting I think others believe I am just rude in not returning the favour otherwise I would nod at other GTR owners and most imports, as long as they're not driving like tools and the car is well kept. off topic some more but I was planning on powdercoating my TE37's a similar colour and just wanted to ask how much yours cost and how they look relative to the original paint...well actually what colour were these originally?
