decisions decisions I'm happy with my 99 vspec bsb...just don't have the heart to mod it Not a fan of the MNP especially MNP III chamelion colours which went out of fashion pretty quick. Mill Jade is a Nur colour only. can't recall all the differences between vspec 1/2 other than CF bonnet and different interior trim. mid 50's will get you a reasonable vspec 2, and $70k+ for a Nur. If you're just gonna track and mod it, then may as well get a bog vspec since you're just going to mod all the bits. If you plan to keep it in original condition then vs2 or nur if you can and keep it as is

sounds good...if I didn't have to work

I saw this green VL complete with lebbo and green wipers...actually looked ok... oh gawd what's wrong with me...*slap* unless they wipe the screen better, I'd steer clear. At most you could just change the wiper refills to a coloured one, I've seen those at SCA.

I have a hyperdrive and a DFP and and the wheel is good...the hyperdrive can be setup in a relatively good seat position but the seat itself is terrible and uncomfortable. I can't complain though as I picked up the DFP and hyperdrive for $70 together off ebay

Why Is It So Hard To Get Good Stuff These Days
mickey replied to waxracing's topic in General Automotive Discussion
ooh harsh feedback there wax I think we've all become accustomed to the crap on ebay...half the stuff on there is crap and you can tell just by looking at it, 1/4 is genuine and good stuff that costs a packet and another 1/4 is said to be genuine or 'as good as' and turns out to be crap...this is the worse category of all as you end up paying good money for crap. Ebay don't care because they get the selling fees for you buying rubbish at top dollar, only thing you can do is paypal dispute get your money refunded and go elsewhere. The feedback system hurts big sellers because they pay higher fees if their feedback drops, that's the only thing saving you. -

game feels really underdone...rather annoying! up to level 11 only and already feeling as if something's missing from it relative to the old GT's. 400R and R390 came up for sale and not enough credits to buy have seen a couple of stageas and a bunch of other cars for sale that I would like but either wasn't high enough level or enough credits to get it. Ah well, it'll be back later just been building up the R34 v2 n1 as my track weapon of choice...will use that and evo 6.5 and rx7 as my cars to use. Need a FF car...motul civic is always a good one, but I recall in GT4 my FTO was pretty special.

You cannot. Here in WA they can find out but it's just more difficult. They are preparing a national licence scheme but in the mean time one state's suspension is valid in another state's. On the contrary though, if you obtain an extraordinary licence or type of hardship licence as they may be called elsewhere that is only valid in the state of issue, so you must obtain one for each state you intend to travel. Have had clients that were long haulage drivers in trouble for interstate travel.

see link in first post, just input rego and it says when it expires...that's about it I guess.

update is DOT is refunding my sister-in-law's costs of putting her car over the pits...
-
that's when you get a set of dodgy rims to put cheap tyres on for track days
-
install a vspec II bonnet...only CF bonnet that would be allowed I think...even then I'm not sure if they are legal.
-
yeah we're not all that well organised ... sister in law has taken the matter up with DOT, they will most likely refund the fee for taking the car over the pits as they say a computer error caused notices not to be issued during that period. I should note that although it is not up to DOT to ensure the rego is up to date they ARE required to advise you that the plates will be unregistered and will be required to be returned to DOT after 3 months unreg'd. If you do not receive the notice to hand in your plates (and the address for notification is correct) then you should make DOT pay the costs of re-licensing your car.

looks stolen...and written off

Just to point out that over 45km/h is considered a 'hoon' offence and also reckless driving in WA. Your car could be impounded for 28 days and you will lose your licence for a minimum 6 months for a first offence. when overtaking a slow moving vehicle it is acceptable to go over the limit (within reason, +40km/h might be hard to accept) to effect the manouver in the interests of safety, but you'll probably have to take it to trial to get the cops to agree. Tailgating could also account for speeding, but you'd have to have the other car in the photo for you to have any chance. Sorry I can't help out the OP re QLD legislation but the QLD and WA legal systems are similar for Criminal matters which are codified. In WA you can elect to do the 'double or nothing' scheme and abide a good behaviour period of 12 months...takes away the need to apply for extraordinary drivers licences (as they are called here). That is for garden variety speeding (read Road Traffic Code 2000) not reckless driving/hoon driving which would require you to apply for an EDL 28 days after conviction.

looks to be the goods...better have a look at it

controller is too easy...I hooked up my wheel and hyperdrive, set it all the stuff off...and geez it is a lot better... mind you I can't control an MR car to stay on the track once the back end breaks but it sure is fun Those that think the driving isn't 'realistic' enough for them really need to turn off t/c, asm, abs, etc. and you'll see how bad you really are... been trying out B Spec...I dunno about you but it looks so pointless. There's really not much you can do in terms of management...and how do you make the time go quicker? GT4 you could do it double time to make it go quicker...

address is being updated now As for SIL, it was sold registered but the paperwork for the transfer must not have gone through to DOT properly. Renewals can also get lost in the post ... I miss my rego stickers even if they do gunk up the window
-
so the sister in law bought a car recently from a reputable dealer, believed it was all transferred fine...found out last week when she took it in for servicing that the car has actually been unregistered for 6 months. So she now cannot drive the car until she takes it over the pits and gets it re-registered...quite funny considering her hubby is a traffic cop. thought oh better check my car rego...have just found out that my GTR's rego expired in October...luckily it's not a daily. So now I'm organising to pay it. Just a heads up to everyone that now would be a good time to check your rego since they have stopped giving you the stickers so it's not easily remembered if you don't get your reminder. check online here at DOT

yeah he pointed out that that is there are 2 occasions in the mission where you have to actually do something...i.e. in the end sequence you have to get out of the plane to save them as you have to get captured and move on.

I'm also looking to powdercoat/paint my rims because the existing white paint is looking a bit ragged and I'm thinking of switching to a GMG or charcoal colour instead. The Landsdale powdercoaters quoted me $30 per rim or $120 a set, but there's also the cost of blasting the existing paint off which could be costly....might try to do it myself ghetto style haha...what's the best way to get paint off without ruining the rim?

P plates on the 'hoon' car was a laugh...would explain the poor car control...at least they got it right by putting him in a commodore
