  1. just got a ps3 and gt5...setting it up now...fark I hate how the PSN wants to know everything about you. username is mickeyinc
  2. yep decided to head down for a couple of hours, missed most of the good stuff. Lots of Ferraris and Porsches around in the paddock...2 x 458 Italias were very nice. a few offs by some drivers kept it interesting but not really any racing, more exhibition races/laps. F1 car doing a few laps was good.
  3. hand controller?
  4. got 2 tickets to this but might not be able to make it...ahh well... gotta get the camera gear ready...
  5. ah you can always buy mine I love it though
  6. bugger I can't make it, my ride is too busy to make it so I'm stuck...curse you Villa!
  7. been thinking about a dualis but thought they look a bit small, specifically the boot (want to carry a pram) so not sure...but wifey wants a SUV and not a fan of any station wagons so no stagea
  8. bugger, I didn't think they had much of a chance after that...apparently that particular mine has had some close calls before and nothing done about it.
  9. bro is busy looking after his kids, so no go there...let's see if I can rope someone else in... does anyone know if a 10 year old can operate it? i.e. reach the pedals
  10. very hard to 'not allow' a driver I would have thought, there's nothing to stop them following the other cars and doing stupid things on the way, and if you don't know the person you can't ban them from the forums and the like. The cruises I've been to tend to be quiet affairs without too much going nuts. Apart from some people taking off briskly at the lights I don't see much bravado as a group. Skidpan days are pretty good but I think perhaps a track day is better given I can't get out of 2nd gear on the skidpan and I think doing laps would be better to have a longer go each time rather than the stop/start nature of the skidpan.
  11. yeah thanks Nick for getting me the price on the badge and seeing you at Northside last week. I've never worked for any dealers, but I have taken photos of cars for many dealers for Carsales photos
  12. will have to see if the brother wants to go...
  13. yah there's 'official' and 'organised by anyone' so anyone can...just takes someone with the time to organise some decent drives and the people will come
  14. http://www.fanpix.net/gallery/jessica-michibata-pictures.htm button tends to date models
  15. haha come on ferrari screwed up the minute they decided to shadow webber and cover him given he was the closest rival and that's the reason for the pit stop. Of course ferrari should know better that RBR's strategy for webber in races has been dismal and choosing to pit shortly after the end of the SC to come into traffic was probably very stupid (turned out it was) so they both lost out much to vettel's happiness. Could you say webber helped vettel then by being a decoy and causing a bad pit stop strategy for alonso? haha...sure we all hate vettel but we all know he's been quicker in the season.
  16. webber is fail in s2, vettel for the title you'd think some of the middle runners would die at some point...how bitter would SV feel if he had another DNF?

    Adm For 109k

certainly a daily driver there...wish to say that's not half price really, since you can pick one up new for $150k plus on roads (hey you still gotta pay rego/stamp duty for this one esp if you take it from interstate) so really it's a 33% depreciation or thereabouts. a lot of car for not much money
  18. Webber's in front of alonso so that's what's important, while he wants the win I think the 1st job is making sure he stays ahead.
  19. ah do you have pics? I guess mainly because the colour is now....??
  20. Well anyone who's looked at the literature should know that radar detectors are useful and do not allow drivers to speed with impunity as alleged by the idiots for public road safety... studies show they aren't as bad as some people think. But yes, be prepared to say goodbye to them. Police I talk to say they don't work effectively enough for them to care about it, so it's a push by zealots who probably 'think' they are amazing super devices that suddently enable you to drive 200km/h everywhere without getting caught. Myself having never had a speeding ticket after 15 years of driving, 2 years of which with a radar detector, I can say that they are useful for a lot of things, and avoiding speeding cameras is the least of their uses.
  21. I remember seeing this from last year...should be a good day then.
  22. locate an open public car park, like they have next to a park or something.
  23. hit up the car forums, someone will be selling one for under $1k...maybe think about other small cars like excels...you could get a newer one than the corolla and they are 'fairly' reliable and easy to source parts. quokka would have lots of cars available, otherwise auctions are where you pick up the bargains on the weekdays...or even the cars that police put up for auction from hoons that don't pick the car up. You KNOW those cars have to be worth $1k or so because it costs almost $1k to pay the impound fee to get them out so cheapskates just leave it to be sold off.
  24. think of the silver lining...buck's night! meanwhile, I know someone hiring out lincoln continental hardtop and convertible from the 1960's, but I don't believe it is self driven ones either. Insurance probably too much for that here
  25. hmm wonder if they can get the grill...I called Northside and they quoted me $120 for the badge and $558 for the mesh!! Badge apparently in stock in Melb but grill has to be obtained from Japan. man if I find these guys I would tear them a new one.
