  1. i know it has. i was just bringing to light ur yet again hypocritical ramblings. ur the first to pull up others on totally useless posts that have a suggestion but no fact to back them up. just keeping u on ur toes
  2. Well after almost 12 months since the last one, i've just had machined 2 new billet girdles. One to suit a rwd RB and another to suit the 4wd rb30. This time it replaces the entire std girdle. Testing will be carried out on an engine in the next 2 months.
  3. that post is about as useful as tits on a bull
  4. what did the cam doctor say on them 272 11.35's?
  5. i thought u said somewhere u had a t62 to go on it? took ur time paul, fingers crossed for 8's when its ready
  6. u can do an external pump for under 3k with a custom sump included (to suit an ati balancer) if ur serious i can set one up for you, and then just send it up all ready to bolt on
  7. no, im not being sarcastic.
  8. yep pull out welshe plugs and get it acid dipped/bathed once u have it home, grab urself a bucket of warm soapy water, a dishwashing scrubbing brush and scrub the block, cradle & crank. with the block, use the garden hose and spray it into the oil gallery where the oil filter bolts to. that'll flush out all the crap in the oil galleries. then dry it off with an air compressor. grab a can of wd40 and soak all the oil gallery tubes and water tubes, also the inside of the block. then grab a can of engine enamel and paint the outside. clean off any overspary thats on both decks bring it all inside and start assembly
  9. well ok i'll help... first the welshe plugs should be out b4 it gets bored, and b4 that it needs to be bathed. and b4 that it needs to be sonic tested for cracks/holes then even b4 that u need the pistons u are using, as u need the right piston to bore clearance and we havnt even gotten to how to measure everything properly u see where i'm going?
  10. its obvious u dont really know what you are doing. leave it to an experienced engine builder, u will have problems
  11. zacery, scarnon?
  12. yeh them ROSS pistons are pretty good huh speaking of which, i wonder what acl are gonna do to mahle since the merger
  13. bingo pauly also i'm with the other 2, somewhere between 3-3.5thou piston to bore. also measure all the pistons, and all the bores. you shouldnt have problems with the CP's, but better to check. 1 thing i dont like with the CP rings is the oil control ring, not enough tention for my liking. great for a race engine wanting power, but for a non-smoky streeter grab a set of acl oil rings, cost about $70
  14. the shop that honed the block, did they have the CP spec sheet b4 they started?
  15. ur just saying that to look cool
  16. this place was good whilst u dickheads werent around
  17. yeh grease ftw if u dont want to smash it when u take it out, dont use an input shaft
  18. using a BDG pump. i like to support aussie products, especially when they are top quality
  19. ABS @ capalaba, visit them either thursday, friday or sat morning and ask for Dan. alternatively see Dan mon-wed as Elite Racing Development (3lite_32 on here)
  20. both john & will @ jhh are both champs. john is semi retired now i believe so its mainly will and another bloke there. will is just like john though, he recently did a big head for me and it came out spot on how i wanted it, perfect noels (fineline) only got baby poncams in his head, he also runs a 35r .82rear, i'd be looking at 260-280deg 10.5+ lift for ur setup, but depends on how much coin u want to throw at it. the head i got done has 1mm valves both sides, dual springs, ti retainers, bronze gudes, big port work, intake 270 10.8 exhaust 280 10.8. its on a 26/30 with a t51r kai, rev limit will be where it stops making power. no numbers yet as its waiting engine mounts to go back in
  21. BDG stuff from BDG direct http://motorsport.bdg.com.au/drysump.html Bracket i made (have cad file as i got them laser cut, u can have the file or i can get some cut) peterson balancer adapter from rocket/mscn Sump from craig @ extreme custom engineering in brisbane Peterson filter again from either rocket/mscn Lines from mscn/vpw Billet Design Group (BDG) - a company in western australia that do a heap of billet race gear. dry sump pumps, they do the race engines for Jay Upton's top fuel bike
  22. Group buy closed.
