  3. Hey guys. I currently have a r30 pvn coupe that has a nice black interior. I'm swapping for a worked r30 sedan and the interior is a boring grey. Now what do I have to do to change the colour of the dash? Can I spray it with black vinal paint? Or use plastic paint or what? Thanks

  10. Ok Dash Is off. It was a mission! I ended off taking the glovebox out so I could reach in and undo some plugs behind it. Then I did the air vent connecting cables. I found it an absolute mission to get the speedo cable out but i figured it out. Had to lower the steering column first as I couldnt get the dash over the steering wheel. I have the manual pedal box in now :-) There was a thing attached to the auto pedal box with a sticker saying "Chassis Control Box" what do I do with that? I am NOT looking forward to getting the dash back on, the air vents look a mission to plug up....
  11. Thanks!!!!! I have heater controls, stereo surround etc disconnected. How do I unplug the speedo unit?
  12. I went to pull the dash off the R30 but I have no idea what do to. The manual shows how to remove the accessories from the dash but its all incorrect when being applied to my car. Like it shows 4 screws on the bottom of the glovebox holding it up but theres not 4 screws at all...? Ive removed the stereo/heater/clock surround, the speedo surround, the bottom soft panels near the kickpanels, 2 screws on each side of the car holding the dash. I dont know what else to do or where the screws are located. Anyone care to help if they know?
  13. Sweet i know. :-) Stagefumer jogged my memory. I'll see if i can get one when i get my clutch tomorrow.

  15. I got it out. I got: Gearbox Pedal box Clutch Cylinders Front and rear driveshafts This driveshaft cage Gearbox crossmember i jsut have to get a clutch and flywheel (sorting that out now). DO you guys reckon it'll be possible to install the manual box with the car on axle stands?? I'll be doing it as soon as i get my clutch and flywheel. Also, the plug that goes to the loom on the manual. I noticed my auto has the same plug. Will that be all plug & play??

  17. I need some tips please guys. I'm converting my PNV r30 coupe to manual as i've finally found everything I need. How do i get the bits out of the manual r30? Do i have to get the dash out to get the pedal box out? Any suggestions on driveshaft and clutch etc?
  18. All is sorted! Ok I got another alternator to put in and I installed it. Started the vehicle and the lights were still on... So I went back and looked at the wiring and I saw that the wire going from the alternator to the starter motor was half melted and had soldered itself together to the crimps and the wire was corroded green. So I replaced that and everything is fine now. So maybe all along the problem was just that wire...
  19. I needed like a 6inch extension with a 3 inch extension attached. It is a pain in the ass. Get that heat shield off from the inlet manifold and it makes things easier. U just gotta kinda feel around with ur fingers until u feel the bolts, then get ur socket in there while fingers on bolt so u get a feeling of where the socket should go.
  20. SERIOUSLY! I'm sure someone here can help. half of you seem to be extremely knowledgable. PLEASE HELP!
