  1. Considering the fact that its an r32 GTR and its standard engine is an rb26dett, of which the head fits up directly except for stud redrills to the rb30 block i am going to take a wild guess here >.< and says that its a r32 rb26dett gtr head sitting on top of the rb30 block. Why does it matter to you? You obviously don't want to buy the car so it shouldn't be an issue. Even if you did want to buy the car the laser cut adapter plates are available so weigh up the cost of building an rb30dett against buying an adapter plate, im sure you will find there is a big difference. Goodluck with the sale of the car mate, absolute bargain for the price!
  2. Some one come and get this out of my driveway >.< Price drop..... cant believe im doing this, $3800 and no i wont be going any lower.
  3. Buy it and put an ebay turbo on it! Would cost bugger all, get the ebay turbo with mani, VL injectors, VL computer then plumb it all in and bobs your uncle! Or you could get a chip from darkhalf (r31 club) and use the injectors already on there (which are good up to 5PSI, which is a big kick in the guts for the rb30 NA compression ratio) and buy a ebay turbo. There are guys around using them and getting decent power figures and the engines are putting up with absolute beatings for ages. You would already be surprised at the power the car has on tap, its a beast compared to the standard ca18det.
  4. Hi peoples, The Engine is in, the wiring is done. You can drive it around now, as its still rego'd but to make it fully legal you have to put on the R34 brakes, slot on the z32 wheels, put in the radiator and hook up the RSM to output the tacho and speed signals to the dash then get an engy to pass it. About the only thing that doesn't come with the car to put all the aforementioned parts on is a small pipe with a bend in it to hook up the radiator (haven't got it made). If you can swing a spanner and singe your fingers with a soldering iron then its not stuff that costs money, just takes time (something i don't have as i work away at savage river mine 9 days out of 14 then when i get home i have the house to renovate >.<). Its fine to drive around now as its all in good running order and its not excessively loud either. I haven't been pulled over by cops except for a RBT and have sat next to them at the lights and they don't even look at it (think it might have something to do with not having the turbo badges on it now as silly as it sounds, could also be the lack of turbo component sounds ) and if you feel paranoid just stick it in 5th and take off The few times that i have driven it i have just taken off then slotted it into 5th and just idled up hills its bloody brilliant. For sale and i need it gone asap Here is a run down of whats in the car and what would go with it. Car is rego'd till april 1989 Nissan Silvia K's Silver in colour (190ish on the clock but as you will note its not the standard engine) Body is in reasonably rough condition (straightened a few things out since i bought it) Interior is pretty good, all vents and the usually's that break aren't broken RB30E with 90,000 on the clock A31 Crossmember New plugs, leads and all the rest of the normals Solid engine mounts (doesnt shudder at all) Reco RB30 gearbox (brilliant) New HD clutch 2.5 inch Exhaust Brand new cannon (not on the car) Brand new Apexi Pod (not on the car) R34 front and rear hubs, discs, calipers with descent pads (not on the car but wont take alot of work to put on) 4x s15 standard 16 inchers (no rubber) 4x z32 standard 16 inchers (really good rubber) Entire r31 loom and fusebox (good for spare wire and stuff ?!? ) SR20 Front seats Spare CA18DET Crossmember Spare Standard wing Brand new Thermo Half descent Oil and filter for the next oil change R33 Shimmed Diff Mitsubishi CD player (good paper weight >.<) Fully sick drift lifted bonnet to allow for the rb30 (only need to remove a breather hose and it can be normally closed again) Apexi RSM with stand and G metre (not in the car) Massive brand new 52mm dual core alloy radiator (not on car) Second front bar in really good condition (not yet on the car) Around 22 (on last count) 245, 235, 225 17 tyres of varying profiles (all are sets) most of which are streetable, including a set of 4 falken 255 17 road rally Avenis i think the series name is CBF looking Oh and some of the badges that are on the car are still here, like the boot silvia sign. $4500ono! Pics are below (Hasnt been washed or cleaned) Missus will have the key so anyone interested call/msg me on 0400541075.
  5. Those few pages are so jam packed with info. That guys needs a medal
  6. When i read stocks list and saw the turbo and supercharger there i had a funny feeling in my pants. With that said isnt tunning a supercharged and turbo'd engine supposed to be a right prick? Would love to see some photos of the engine and supercharger install.
  7. AlexCim - Wouldnt matching tyres only work for a car that hasnt had the final drive ratio changed but which you are sticking bigger rims on? mr 32 - oh ok cool sounds pretty good, so they will change the speed cables ratio to match what it actually needs to be? I live in Tasmania so yeah unless i get on The Spirit and come up for a trip then i dont reckon sydney would be viable anyways thanks for that ill have a hunt around down here and see if i can find one.
  8. Hi guys, Probably making a dick of my self here but anyways. I did some searching around and didnt come up with anything about speedo correction, so after sitting around scratching my head i came up with an idea which i thought i would run by you guys. Basically i want to be able to get an accurate reading from a speedo that is getting its readings from a R34 GTT manual Gearbox which in turn is connected to a s13 auto diff (wheel and tyre size is the R34 GTT standard 17x7.5 and 225/45). Im guessing that the problem is the speedo cable running from the gearbox to the speedo, i would assume that since the R34 GTT has a diff which has a ratio of 4.111.1 (correct me if i am wrong) that the speedo cable is spinning at that ratio but the actual final drive of the driveline is 3.9.1 so the speedo is reading wrong. So i thought that if i some how was able to intercept the speedo cable before it reaches the speedo itself and change the ratio of the cable from 4.111 to 3.9 that it would read correctly. I scratched out these little pictures in paint to illustrate my idea. Or with the standard s13 tyre size. Well anyways let me know what you think.
  9. Is there a workshop in melbourne that has done the rb31det conversion before that you guys would recommend? Was going to do most of the work my self but after reading about all the crap people go through with pistons and what not i think i would rather have a warranty.
  10. umm, never mind lol i found it (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=83626&hl=hicas+removal)
  11. So the oil feed is 3/4, is the oil return and the water return the same?
  12. Oh ok cool so the standard ok but using a rb25/26 one would be better? Anyone have any idea about the CR with the rb26 head on the rb30 block?
  13. Hi guys, Currently working on my own rb30 hybrid so i thought i might runs some stuff past you guys to see what you think. So far i have my old rb30 complete engine ripped into ten million pieces, the block is acid dipped then having a bunch of work done to it (rehoned, o ringing... etc) now i was wondering is it viable to use the standard rb30 sump? Also im planning on using a r32 rb26dett head (am able to get the entire engine dirt cheap ) and was wondering if anyone has done this? I was told by a reliable source that using the r32 rb26dett head screws the CR ?! He thinks arias make a set of pistons for this application but i thought before i go getting the pistons i would run it past you guys. Lastly if anyone has done the rb26/rb30 conversion would they possible be able to pm me or post in here a dyno graph? Thanks heaps.
  14. Hello peoples, Im looking to buy an r32 with a rb25de under the hood, need a reliable car (hence no turbo) but still want an r32. Doesnt matter whether its auto or manual. Anyways if you have one you are looking to part with please email me at [email protected] Thanks **LOOKING FOR A COUPE NOT SEDAN**
