  1. i'm 19.. i have earned enough money to buy one of these, which i am about to do.. for your information, i'm pretty sure being a teenager does not make me immature.. infact, i have seen many more, over 25's act like complete idiots in their "jets on wheels" than i have seen teenagers act stupid. Also, most of what you have said does not make sense.
  2. A fast car is more fun, but nothing is better than a nice looking car that goes. So i say a bit of both... however, i would choose speed/performance over looks. NHothings funnier than a rust bucket that goes like a rocket
  3. good god....
  4. My first car was, and still is.. a N13 nissan exa Non turbo. Cost me $3700, has cost me too much to keep it running.. (did'nt even have oil in it when i bought it ) and now i'm selling it, i'd be lucky to get $3,400 for it(Clutch is starting to slip) My advice to you is, if you have $15,000 and are willing to spend it, buy something newer and more reliable, that hasnt been trashed, and won't keep costing you big $$ to keep it running... like a cheap $400 car, and just get whatever is your style. I don't think you should limit yourself in what car you get just because your 18.. just be carefull, don't drive like a maniac because you WILL get yourself into trouble.
  5. oh... cept it's not new and doesnt come with a commander... my bad
  6. cool, thx for the info.. keep it coming hey, i just saw a brand new Power FC for sale on ebay to suite RB25det for $650AUD perhaps buying the parts from ebay would be the way to go... i will see what else i can find.
  7. NJR R34GTT yes.. i realise you need those sorts of mods to accomodate for the extra power, but would you really need an aftermarket fuel pump or better intercooler just for 200rwkw? Shanef I would probably not have to pay to have any of the above mods installed, as i would probably do them myself, and also have friends that are, or were mechanics... and that much for a tune?? u serious?! A good exhaust, i have been quoted to be around $900 by a few people PowerFC ECU - $1000 give or take Cold air intake - $200 though the skyline may already have one installed.. Boost controller - dunno? but it can't be that much?.. I know the skyline will already have a catback exhaust installed, is this different from turbo back? if so.. how? better, or worse.. So if i am correct with the prices then, Exhaust: $1000 approx PowerFC: $1000 which i have seen for this price Cold air intake: $200 approx Boost controller: $500 give or take? (coz i have no clue how much these are) Total - $2700 approx. without tune included, if a tune makes a great difference, then i have no probs spending a bit extra for it. I really can't see where the extra cost is... my guesstimate of $3000 seems pretty accurate... yet shanef finds it laughable Maybe i am getting bad quotes.. i dunno, does anyone who disagree's with these prices mind telling me what they paid?
  8. yah i bet it is i have never driven a car faster than my friends V6 statesman, which isnt that fast so even a stock skyline would have me addicted My plans for first mods are, Turbo back exhaust, cold air intake, Boost controller, aftermarket ECU, and a good tune. Pretty much as above in Dush's post, minus the intercooler, plus a cold air intake. So could anyone tell me what these mods would cost all up, and if they'd bring me to 200rwkw? or atleast close to it.. I found these figures for mods on a webpage, can anyone tell me if they are accurate? Cold Air Intake: 15rwkw Exhaust: 20rwkw Boost controller: 15rwkw ECU: atleast 20rwkw Assuming the stock skyline has between 130 - 140rwkw, these mods would bring the total to approx. 200 - 210 rwkw? i'm looking at spending $3000 maximium for my first mods, hopefully that will be enough to get me what i need for 200rwkw.
  9. hey driver, from melb to perth... how much did TNTNTNTTNTNTNTNT charge you? and do you really play for the eagles? or you just a hardcore fan?
  10. meh! sry... shoulda done a search first, just found a post exactly like this one
  11. Hey, since i'm soon to be a skyline owner, i was just wondering roughly how much it would cost me to get my skyline up to 200rwkw and what would be the best and cheapest mods to get. The skyline will be pretty much stock, except maybe for a pod air filter and catback exhaust. There may be other mods, but im not sure yet. I want it to be able to beat my friends Holden V8 Commodore (Damn Commodores!) which has 197rwkw Also my other friend is buying a Mildly modded VL commodore with an RB30DET engine in it, does anyone know how much power this car would have?
  12. imagine melb to perth... on my own it would prob take 4 - 5 days i would rather keep my paid holidays for something more exciting and pay someone else to do it, but not if it's gonna cost $900+ So does anyone know of a company that does it alot cheaper? Has anyone driven from SA to WA?
  13. i thought a stock gtst has 184rwkw? and about 250hp.. why would he have less than stock power, if he has aftermarket mods? i'm newb so i don't really know, but would be interested to know why he would have less power.
  14. can you re-post the pics? i can't see them
  15. Hmm, this would be from Melbourne to Perth.. so far i have been quoted $930 from MovingAgain, and $1,160 from V.I.P Inspections. If i can't get a much cheaper quote than this from anyone, than i may just fly over and drive back, which would probably be fun but rather inconvenient. Anyone know a cheaper way to get a skyline from one state to another, and which doesn't involve 4 days of driving?
  16. Hey, does anyone know a good company for transporting a car from one side of australia to the other? anyone know roughly how much it would cost, and would it be cheaper just to fly over and drive back.. thx.
  17. nice wallpaper
  18. Fly to Japan and kick his ass?? just an idea
  19. Hi, i'm interested... however, i live in Perth.. so the best i can offer you is 15,000. Since i would have to pay for transport + re-registration in Perth. I agree with you though.. that is a very good price for what it is (a bargain even) sry i can't offer you any more. Let me know if your interested. My email: brichmond@iprimus.com.au (Send some more pics if you have any) Thx
