  1. Haha that describes my car perfectly!! got some new 595 SS's put on the rear expecting an improvement over the worn out no brand cheapies I had on there but 1st and 2nd are still useless...
  2. Thought you were in melb from the "tuned by racepace" in your sig... Sounds like you have done your research but i think the biggest result i have seen on 98 was 320-330kw.
  3. what will the car be used for Dajae? For the street i can't help but think a stealthy GT-RS on E85 and maybe some cams would be unbeatable.
  4. are you guys taking in your own settings or just telling them what you use the car for and letting them decide?
  5. fluids from the engine flow through the turbo so if engine temp gets hotter so will turbo.
  6. If you don't hit boost the last kilometer home then that will be more effective than letting the thing idle for 1 minute... in most cases the engine is only gonna get hotter sitting there at idle.
  7. agreed only poser's run them these days....
  8. hahahahaha so true!!!
  9. dont wanna ruin your sale but you Can get them for $290 from the US.... I could do $250 pickup.
  10. how much driving would you have done in those 2 months? looks pretty old to me!
  11. Last time I had to call him out he was telling me how 70% of his work is stud removal for workshops!!!
  12. thats what I thought until I got there! Naa i think the SL2 will be great on the street! The only time i'd like more response from my setup is at really really low speed corners in 2nd gear IE Intersections or roundabouts, with the stock setup you can get the thing sideways with a flick and some power the T67 is still spooling so you can either clutch or wait till your through the corner for the boost to build, then you just fry the tires in a straight line haha Its perfectly matched everywhere else though eats the twistiest hills for breakfast!!! Can't wait to get it to the track!
  13. Are you gonna run E85? if not then going off my bp98 results you should be right on the manifold limits...
  14. Haha its a hard one I think the T67 is perfectly usable on the street but i'd still like to see results for the SL2 But really If its 100% street and you want 260KW with brutal response wouldn't something more legal like a GTRS be a better option. The external gate makes you a massive target you really have to pick your spots..
  15. the td06sl2-20g is the turbo you want for under 280kw the next step up is the the t67-25g that i have!
  16. exactly I'd still really like to see a result with the TD06SL2-20g 10cm
  17. Trent told me he likes to do a base tune with 98 first my car made 300kw on bp98, not sure on the boost level that was used....
  18. Have you considered cams for your setup simon?
  19. haha I won't be surprised if i change my mind in a few months and come knocking on your door lol
  20. Im a big fan of bang for buck setups and for between 3.5-4k i got Tune Turbo Manifold Gate plenum injectors Z32 stack of 2.5",3" and 4" MS pipe bosch 044 braided oil drain Bunch of hose, nuts/bolts, joiners, heat shielding, clamps and gaskets Pod filter Ex cam gear Ebay and the classifieds here were the weapons of choice! I guess there's another 30-50kw left in it but would cost me at least another $1k for springs and some injectors to get there. Then you gotta take into account the extra component stress involved and i don't think its worth it. with that said i don't think its fair to compare this setup with an IW garret or high flow low mount purely because of the legalities involved..
  21. Thanks for all the comments guys! Went through a tank of E85 yesterday, mostly hills and it feels great in the twisty stuff was so keen to take it out again today but tyres are on the belts so better not! As for response well its hard for me to judge as i don't have much experience with anything over 240kw. That and as soon as the gate opens you tend to forget about any downfalls of the setup haha might have to take you for a spin Arthur could tempt you to slap on a highmount!
  22. you need a green label AFM. RB20 AFM's are the same so you should be able to pick one up cheap!
  23. Was a kent to pull the stock one off!!! I did a fair bit of port matching with a dremel on it too... came up good, no leaks!
  24. Yeh alot of firsts for me and it went really smooth I was very surprised! Built the thing on the cheap I already had the power FC and Profec B, cost me close to $3.5k including the tune. First time i have done any pipe work too did it all with mild steel tube lobster back style and welded with an Oxy!!!
  25. I wasn't there for the tune so im not sure, but obviously the red one was an earlier run and trent mentioned that the valve issue only showed up after a few runs as you can see from the sheet.. Maybe trent will explain some of the magic when he gets a chance Exhaust is hanging a little low and hitting chassis so i gotta fix that then ill do some testing!
