  1. my friend has a rb25 with trust t78, manual. With 400kw. I have seen 10sec silvias with std gbox so u need to b easy on them. If ur setup is right spool wont b a problem eith ball bearing or bush. With ppg gearsets u dont use syncros. Just dog teeth gears. Search ppg on this site or dog box.
  2. if it was me doing the ecu, id just put a pfc or get trent to do a full emu setup.. run a T78 or a T88 turbo if you like trust.. if not a T51R or T04z, a mate of mine ran 11.3 @ 133mph in a 33 4 door and semi slicks, so he spun them hard. you can use the box, but you can always sell it up and use a GTST or GTT box with a dog engagement set 100mm thick cooler is good for your plans, never said it wasnt good. Fuel system MUST be there, so if i was doing this i would do it big.. 2x external pumps and surge tank, 800 - 1000cc injectors. if your going to run a big power engine and be reliable, then a full set of forged pistons and eagle steel rods or whatever else you can get. While the engine is apart, get your tuner or engine builder to put a decent set of cams in.. you can even speak to URAS or the boys at CREATD on piecing together good engines, they really know their stuff. You can run full power in 3rd gear, but make sure you select them clean otherwise you will smash syncros etc with big power. Also with a good clutch package, your going to be running a decent slick so i would say put a Tripple plate clutch in because you want it to last more than a couple of outings yes? might be a bitch on the street but its what happens when you build a tough car. A Two way LSD diff would be good, for a clean and straight launch. If you want to know anything about jap stuff to build a killer engine package speak to Trent (URAS) hese very very good with this sort of stuff..
  3. if its for drift id say a Trust T67 with a Twin plate ORC 709D clutch or any twin plate with a 700hp or more power ability, rebuilt bottem end with either prepped rods or steel rods, decent sized cams from hks, 720cc or so injectors, 044 fuel pump x2 with surge tank, RB25 box with a PPG gearset, alloy rad and oil cooler with a trust vspl or drag cooler, power fc ecu with two r33 or z32 afms with the greddy y pipe if going single. You wont exactly make 600hp.. but will be very very fast and powerful if you want more, T78 T04z T88 T51R kai are a good choice also
  4. drift car? if so, speak to URAS.. he knows how to build a drift car he has one with a 26 in it.. absolutely hammers!
  5. with 25s the fun starts at mid 3,000's and lasts all the way to redline.. if your game enough to hold your foot down.
  6. yeah mine comes on at around that aswell.. last time i drove it i stopped looking at the tacho and concerntrated on keeping it straight it shot up very fast fron around the 3000's thats full boost, not starting, but already at 18psi
  7. yeah i was assuming that it would be more laggy because of a smaller displacement engine with more pistons, so a shorter stroke? but sr20s are the same displacement with less pistons so bigger bore x stroke? if its a streeter no way i would put that on a sr20 without MASSIVE cams and a 9,000rpm limiter, just too big of a turbo for down low power.
  8. i have a 3540 with the smallest exhaust housing on a 25det and a stretched rev limiter to 7,500 and it wakes up late 3,000's but pulls very very hard to the limiter. so on a rb20 it will be alot of more laggy i would go a 3071R or a 3076R .63 for rb20
  9. bup ^^ ^^
  10. how much do you want for the rollcage straight out cash?
  11. ill see you there
  12. ill try and bring mine next week
  13. and i was planning to race next week.. FFS so ALL cars? also.. what about drifting? because if they limit the places people can drift, there will be more street drifting..
  14. ill take a pic of the car soon..
  15. plus the cops and epa wont pick it been running a hks actuator in my 33 with the old setup and in my brothers 180sx.. perfect for boost control on std turbo

  18. ah thats alright.. you should come down to a vicdrift day.. if you dont wana travel just go calder, not out of the way and the track is pretty good for beginners.
  19. na, live in thomastown.. cops are just great down here [/sarcasm]
  20. when your loaded.. you will buy a beema or merc.. or if rich people had balls they would buy a Z TUNE!!
  21. car is finished ended up making 295kw at the wheels on 18psi.. BIG BIG thanks to the guys at creatd motorsports.. best workmanship, quality and reliability.. Rob Dan and Gas did a killer job on my engine with hiding wiring and setting everything up, spent hours on the dyno and on street tuning it, to come up with a very safe and agressive tune.. a workshop ill be happy to support with stickers on my car Thanks guys
  22. have a look on the new fords.. they dont have arials do they? but the under covers have 2 on the boot.. also look for BIG mesh screens on the back window.. once this vz ss pulled me up and had winnie the pooh ones up.. real cop like. if your para enough, you will spot a cop from a mile or 2 away.. like me
  23. its not bad if its setup right.. tyres cop a pounding if camber and toe isnt set up right. You use your handbrake alot, so have it adjusted right, make sure your tune is PERFECT because your revving your car pretty hard, its pretty much revving and heat issues.. have them covered and your alright. ISC coilovers are good for drift, any coilovers with a hard spring rate is good. its hard to drift in a stock skyline compared to a silvia.. having drifted both of them (not stock) the 180sx was heaps better to drift, better suspension but less power and the skyline had more power but less of a suspension setup.. cosmo: i dont think you can do a course where u drive the cars..
