  1. Spotted a heap of skylines out last night, black r33 gtr and silver r33 gtr in woden... Pretty miserable day for cruisin anyway Dayne
  2. I much prefer the bling look, but the buddy's still look very nice.. My car had work rims on it red lip, black inner... looked track but didn't appeal to me.. so i changed to 18's and dropped it 3.75" and i think it looks way better. Dayne
  3. woops:P hahaha i was wondering why everyone was post whoring:P Dayne
  4. im a holden man.. but that is amazing!!!! Damn.. makes me want one so bad! Dayne
  5. VX II SS commodore - Handles very well for its size, brakes fkn awsome and its pretty damn quick...!!! VX II HSV clubsport r8 - Handles better then the SS, brakes very well again... and is very quick:P Also sounds awsome, nothing IMO is better then the sound of a v8. 2000 Honda civic VTi-R - Handles awsome, hardly any torque steer, brakes very well.. and performes soooo good for a 1.6L 4cyl... These cars are very under rated and the way petrol is at the moment, is probably going to be an option for me over my 33.. The rest are really R32 GTR's and stuff... Dayne
  6. Pm me a price for the engine... with the following one qoute with the turbo, one without and both include loom + ecu Cheers Dayne
  7. Thats called a rev's check which i what i said you need to check... Here in canberra at pickles auctions they guarantee that the car has no outstanding finanace... so i cant possibly see how the cops could come a repo it when it has no outstanding finance on it specially when its been handed back to the insurance company, and then to the action squad, then to you. Just be careful, thats all.. the same as you would with any other car. Goodluck. Dayne
  8. Heres something else to think about, just because you can afford to buy the car doesnt mean you can afford to run and insure it, let allown repair it! GTR = Twin turbo = double the amount of things to place! I see peoples signitures and theyre something like "GTR = Moneypit" Because its true and we all known theyre damn expencive to fix..! My suggestion is, stay in school do well at it, get a cheap run around car and work your way up from their. Dayne
  9. Just make sure it has no outstanding debts (such as car loans etc) you'll probably do this on all cars you buy, its a revs check. As long as its complied, everything is their, nothing should be a problem. in the ACT you have to go for an ID check (to make sure its not rebirthed). Insurance is just the same as any other car you buy... its really no different, someones car was stolen, then they found it and repaired any damages if it had any and gave it back... Dayne
  10. No, its fine if its through auction (no debt owed on the car etc etc)... you should be able to tell fairly well if its still ok, you can start them etc at auction but not drive. other then been given a hard time whilst stolen the car should usually be fine. We baught a deawoo lanos from the auctions before for me to learn in before i got the r33, and we only found out when we went to rego it that it was stolen/recovered and it was 100% perfect:S Hope this helps Dayne
  11. I think you'll find the Integras that came in the vtec form, are not 1.6L for a start. I've driven the DOHC 1.6L in a VTi-R coupe civic, and these hammer. Between a NA skyline, and a VTi-R coupe, its very close. However, these cars are geared for quick acceleration, which means top speed isn't that great. The Australian delivered Honda's do not have limiters in them. 280 is a bit far fetched, but 230 is believable as i've been at 210 in an Integra Type R, and it still had a lot to go. Hope this helps mate. Dayne
  12. Hahaha no way mate, they got for around 10,000!!! Even though they're non turbo, no skyline sells that cheap. My mate picked up a silvia Q sr20de manual for $7500, knocked the guy down from $8300... so i doubt a r32 would be any cheaper then that! goodluck Dayne
  13. Yeah, it was merici year 10 formal... was pretty good mostly bmw's and mercs... not many imports other then 200sx's which was suprising!! The next one is marist yr12 and then grammar year 10 both on the 23rd of sept! Dayne
  14. Will do mate, im looking at an OZNOS kit currently:) We'll see how that goes first. Dayne
  15. Just another thought about the exhaust, it might have a hole in it hence the rattle, or a rusted internals... you never know.. these cars are from japan:D Dayne
  16. Interesting, any more info.. like where from and stuff? do you know of any pics with them installed for height and stuff. I dont want to buy springs that arent that much different to the ones i already got. Cheers <{POST_SNAPBACK}> well in suspension their is a photo of my ride, thats lowered 3.75" its in a thread their... ive seen pics of yours and mine looks to be .75" lower then your car if i remember correctly, so these would definetly be lower. But if you want the rim in the gaurds i'd recommend 4.25" thats the lowest you could possibly go. I get them from my supplier in sydney, if you get them from kmac it will cost you $354. these are brand new so any height you want i can do:) just tell me and i'll hook you up. Dayne
  17. The rattle in your exhaust you will find is probably the catalyic converter, the honey comb-like inside has probably came loose, un do that and have a look inside, if its that, bash it out and replace it with a new catalyic as soon as possible. Hope this helps mate. Dayne
  18. Spotted a heap of mad cars at the hellenic club just then, first formal for canberra:) only one skyline, black r34 gtt... where the representing guys:P Dayne
  19. Same happened to me mate, my original log in Dayne doesnt work, the password is incorrect and everytime i password reset that doesnt work either. I gave up and just started to use this... Goodluck. Dayne
  20. Its alrighht mate, does anyone else know much on this?? Dayne
  21. Yeah, me and 2 mates did it, took us about 1.5 hours for the rears, was really easy... the night before we spent about 3hours trying to figure it out and stuff... then we took one out and did it wrong. For my car i had to take out the rear set + parcel shelf thats why it took a bit longer. I'll get some pics up asap when i get it back Dayne
  22. Hey guys, i want to purchase a nitrous kit for my skyline, and i have been looking around but im not to sure if i need either wet or dry? what are the benifits of having wet, and is it bad to have a dry nos kit? any suggestions of where i would go to get a small 50hp kit for the skyline?? any help or knowledge is appreciated, as the stuff on the internets pretty unclear, as its all mainly about the fast and the furious!! lol Cheers! Dayne
  23. Ok guys i'll post the ONLY other photo i have of my car lowered... my cars in the painters and wont be back for atleast another week.. so im unable to get pics until then (this is for all the people who pm'd me) Dayne
  24. My cars dropped 3.75" and i could have probably lowered it 5" but your suspension has NO travel then... and besides, thats taken on a hill.. when its on the flat its pretty damn low:) the reason i ordered Kmac insted of king springs is because their super lows lower the car 35mm... mine lowered it 95mm so you can see the difference.. I wouldnt go much less then what its at as i get no rubbing, and the suspension is still stiff but not that bad.. any lower your crazy as my camber is bad enough as it is.. Dayne
