  1. 2x after this was built? I purchased this not long before the start of 2010 from you though? So did you just come out with the ATR series? (whatever the difference is)
  2. my r32 has the same issue exactly for over 6 months now. Stock ECU, stock r33 turbo. I had a TR43 turbo before but changed to a r33 turbo now - I've changed fuel pump, coil packs, spark plugs and O2 sensor, still there. Funny thing is, the issue goes away EXACTLY when the temp gauge hits half way mark - on the DOT! any other ideas?
  3. Shoulda replied a while ago lol. But nah I'm waaay happier with how the cars driving with the 33 turbo anyway just want someone to buy the TR43 now and put it to use!
  4. Hi guys - as the topic states, I need to get rid of a stock R33 front pipe. $30, can be picked up from Box Hill. Send a PM if you need one! Cheers
  5. btw, in the interest of helping someone else NOT jump to conclusions - it turned out to be a stupid aircon pulley LOL - I've just snapped off the belt for now and its all sweet, I'll replace pulley once i source it and should be good to go Car's running sweet now!
  6. thanks mate - that's a good price and i'll keep it in mind unless I can find a used one (on a tight budget so need to be a tightass )
  7. Ok cool - do all types of mechanics reco this or is this a specialty thing? Cheers
  8. Hi guys - as the topic states, I'm after a clutch master cylinder in good nick for an r32 gtst. PM me and let me know if you've got one! Cheers.
  9. For anyone else - My Fiancé just went to India for tourism and had this done - cost her around $600 from one of the top hospitals in Mumbai. Now I know what you're all thinking, the standard was pretty awesome according to her, in and out in a few hours - perfect vision and no side effects so far, knock on wood! Pretty sure you can pay the return ticket, the cost of the surgery and shop around cheaper than it costs here... Cheers,
  10. Guys - just had a look at it this morning and it looks pretty easy to take off - under the hood there's only one steel line going to it from the bottom, that can be taken off easily I imagine? and a few screws under the dash? Can anyone confirm whether I can do it myself and then just go and get the system bled properly from experts (thinking of getting the power steering and brakes bled and flushed as well). Got quoted $80 for a second hand one today from a wrecker though Thanks guys!
  11. Price is up there - 450 for the lot! (I just paid $400 for a stock rb25 turbo with just the dump pipe btw - so its pretty reasonable imo) Cheers
  12. ok Thanks guys - I've got a time booked with a mechanic in 3 days to have a look at this and a freakin sound I'm getting from the engine bay (possibly power steering pump / leak etc etc). Thanks for the help once again!
  13. thanks mate - yea people have made some decent figures with supporting mods - that was why I got it in the first place. Never got around to tuning it and running some high boost through it =/
  14. Thanks mate - is it a doable job from home or a mechanic? (moderate skill level ) and it definately can't be any washers etc? the whole unit has to be replaced?
  15. Hi guys - quick question, I just noticed fluid leaking from the rubber washer that goes into the firewall for the clutch to pass - did some reading and its the clutch master cylinder? Would i need to replace the whole unit or a specific part in there somewhere? or is that something a mechanic will determine? Thanks guys
  16. I just found out yesterday after someone sent me a PM that there were generation in this, if you tell me how to identify it I can tell you? Pretty sure Stao stopped doing these turbo's shortly after I bought this one ...
  17. Mate, can I ask what the sound was like ?
  18. Just in case its unclear - here's whats included - Turbo (no dump pipe) - 2x silicon joiners - Braided oil line - Actuator with hose - Aluminium intake elbow - rubber bend (one of the intercooler joins i think) Items came off an Rb20.
  19. Hi guys; So long story short, I thought i blew my turbo up - turns out the sound was my power steering or something (still not sure, taking it to the mechanic next week). Went through ALOT of hassle to put on an rb25 turbo and then cranked the car up to find out the noise that I suspected was the turbo was still there LOL! I actually thought the wheels were touching the housing etc which was all in my frikkin head. Mechanic had a look at my turbo after and said the amount of vertical shaft play is 100% perfect for a bush bearing turbo - ZERO horizontal movement and wheels spin free as anything. So here I am now (good for a laugh i guess). I wanted a better low end response rather then power and I never actually got the car tuned or did anything after i put this on - just lazy. So its up for grabs - has done around 30,000 km's or so. I paid somewhere around a grand for it, Hypergear can confirm I guess - but thats besides the point, I would like $450 for the lot which I think is pretty reasonable (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). Feel 100% free to come inspect the turbo before you buy it as I'm not a pro and you shouldn't take my word for it - wasn't smoking, no leaks visible anywhere, blades are fine, came off a running car yadda yadda. Comes with everything pictured (I might have a few clamps etc i can throw in). I can ship it interstate for $30 also. I'm located in Box Hill. Let me know what you think - this should work really well on an rb25 (or anything when you spend time and tune the bloody thing ) Cheers.
  20. Well I still haven't - I just ruled out it being the turbo ahahahha. Nah slight upgrade - put on an rb25 turbo on... Oh and I would've done the exact same thing anyway - it was just Gods way of pushing me
  21. Ok so this is a bit funny but it works out in the end ... Ran into quite a few roadblocks with the turbo swap (everything from banjo bolts to front pipes to CAT's etc etc). In the end - put the turbo on and cranked the engine, the sound is still there!!!!!!!!! It wasn't the turbo (sorry Tsao ) ... its the power steering or something else, i'll get it looked at next week. Guess i'll have a TR43 up for sale soon LOL! Its actually good because I wanted to drop it down to a smaller turbo to get more response anyway - TR43 would've been too big for my application (wasn't willing to spend alot on cam gears etc etc to make it responsive). but yea its pretty funny in the end LOL! Thanks to the guys that helped with alot of questions though - atleast the car's on the road again!
  22. Ok so ended up getting an r32 front pipe and voila - straight bolt on. According to the wrecker, there are two possibilities: 1) I got an r34 front pipe 2) One of the r33's came with a front pipe slightly longer than the r32 one. whatever it is, its all running now!!!!!! The next step will be to make the whole exhaust 3 inch from the turbo back ... but it will need to wait for a few other things Thanks again for your help mate, you've been very supportive!
