  1. Eat
  2. yip
  3. would be mad seeing someone try to drive that black merc in Australia lol
  4. I finished the steak in about 15 minutes, but it gets pretty hard to chew when you're eating that fast... same for the vegies, there's so much food there that it starts to get cold...wedges etc don't go down so easily as they get colder...
  5. Starving all day is probably the worst way to prepare for eating a massive meal...
  6. I see... Personally don't think I could go any rarer than medium rare...The med. rare at Vlado's was right on the borderline of just being edible (for me), it's probably a true medium rare...Problem with most everyday places that aren't full on steak houses etc is they don't nail the doneness...If I'm at your average pub for a steak, I might even order rare because I know they're likely to overcook it. Can be a bit of a risk if they nail it rare, and it's too rare for me, but hasn't really gone wrong yet.. At a proper steak joint I'd ask for it med rare as they're more likely to know what they're doing
  7. $40 if you fail, $20 with a free t-shirt if you eat it all, including the sides, in under 30 minutes see above, outback jacks. 1kg of rump, and I estimated it at about 4-500g of vegies, 3-500g of wedges...Originally I thought the sides would be the same as they are on the normal steak meals - chips, a bit of coleslaw and salad...I would've done that no worries. But 500g of vegies AND thick wedges slows you down quite a bit...Still, I didn't feel I was in form going into the challenge and still only just fell short, so on a good day I think I could do it.. I'll add it to the list, bit of a journey but might be worth a look As for cooking thick steaks, I'm no chef but they seal them in a pan then finish them off in an oven. At the Vlado's place I went to (renowned for being a PROPER steak place) if you ordered the eye fillet anything more than medium rare, they butterfly it out so it's thin and can be cooked like that...Shouldn't go anymore than medium rare on a good steak though Side note: Mrs Parma's - I gave it 2 stars... Parma was nothing to write home about for a joint that claims to practice the 'art of parmology', and they gave us 1 bowl of chips and 1 bowl of salad between the 3 of us...Won't be re-visiting that one.
  8. Had a few wedges left at the half hour mark, which you need to finish it under to complete the challenge so I just left em there. Might have another go at it someday
  9. tis about 2kg of food there
  10. if only you weren't a douchebag...
  11. eye fillet is always small though, unless you wanna pay big $ Went to this place in Richmond called Vlado's for a mate's birthday once...you pay $90 a head and you get like 4-5 courses I think first is a home made sausage then they bring out a plate of small pieces of different meats (eye fillet, pork and lamb I think) with bread etc... then the main course you can either have the eye fillet, or the porterhouse...I got the eye fillet, and it was the biggest eye fillet I've ever eaten (apart from when I cut my own at home)... then dessert When I go out for dinner/lunch I get a porterhouse 95% of the time, sometimes rib eye, sometimes rump (outback jack's rump steak was actually very nice) usually try to get at least 400g or I feel like I need another meal.. checking out this Mrs Parma's joint tonight...
  12. sure is, if you're a bitch
  13. You have to cook it yourself? and 300g is a snack...
  14. You'll need someone to accompany you to give a more complete review. Let me know when and where.
  15. I don't do steak and pot deals. Standard is around $30 minimum but we do hit the odd place with a deal (2nd meal $5 etc) and the steaks are actually decent Outback jacks isn't too bad. I'll put your suggestion on the list though. Any others send em my way ladies
  16. bed time
  17. is that a quote from somewhere or are you just using quotation marks incorrectly?
  18. stalker..
  19. Espanyol is the other team in Barcelona, so it's the derby, pretty big rivalry...They were going f**king mental outside hours before the game, mental inside before the kick off, and even more mental outside the stadium after the game...mad atmosphere
  20. You couldn't bounce a bouncy ball That's a security guard not a bouncer. One of the security guards at my work is literally morbidly obese, I'm talking 150kg at around 5ft 6". I watched Barca vs Espanyol when I was in Spain, crowd was insane. At an A-league game they pretty much evacuate the stadium if a flare goes off on the grass...the 2 cheer squads were literally throwing flares at eachother and nothing happened. Then they started snapping the seat bottoms off and launching those from level 3 to the opposition cheer squad on level 1...Until they were surrounded by about 200 riot police....Good value for money that game
  21. Checking it out tomorrow night. I'm not really a Parma man, prefer a steak, but I'll change it up to check out this joint Then we're gonna start checking out various steak joints and rate em..
