Being heated off is a rarity as it is usually hottest after 4pm, and that clause is pretty much in there because we're forced to work in long sleeves pants gloves glasses and helmets. So when it sits at 34.9 all day, stiff shit, we work in it. Domestic don't get heated off but they do wear whatever they want, shorts singlets no top etc. And just like the Indians in your industry that you mentioned, the smaller or domestic companies simply CANNOT deliver the projects our companies can, so I'm not sure how us being paid more is any different to you being paid more than inferior companies.

So you're for bringing in overseas, under qualified and unlicensed workers? So you'd be happy for your company to fly in some Indians who will do your job for minimum wage, no commission, which they'll do without any argument because it's far better than what they're getting back home. That's exactly what they try to do in our industry, the only difference being that in our industry, under qualified and unlicensed workers don't know what they're doing, but who cares about peoples lives when there's money to be saved.

Your customers set your rate do they? The builders pay our rate, so using your logic, they must be happy to do so. Everyone always wants to pay less for the same thing, don't let yourself believe otherwise.

Spot on Hamish. I literally can't understand how anyone (let alone a majority) voted for. Using just my facebook as an example, I've seen maybe 2 people post that they voted for/are happy Liberal won. One of them is an asian chick who is literally the most materialistic person I know, whose name I won't mention as people on here probably know of her. Her constant posts/photos telling the world how rich and 'classy' she is make me sick to the point that I deleted her. My only hope is that these people get f**ked over in Abbott's term as well.
