If I cared about the car I would've taken it further and would have had it repaired wherever I wanted, but being an excel all I cared about was that I was given a free hire car. When I spoke to the other guys insurance company they tried to get out of that, telling me it's not their responsibility... They must use that tactic in the hope that people just accept it and move on. I lost my shit and all of a sudden their policy was that they will reimburse me for a hire car for costs that are 'fair and reasonable'. That statement caused me to lose my shit once again when I requested to know how much 'fair and reasonable' was. In the end I got a car and wasn't too inconvenienced apart from having to drop my car off at the repairer. The repairs were fine, and come with a lifetime warranty so pretty good really.

Strong aware When my excel got rear ended, I had to go with the repairer they said because I was only third party, but if it was full comp I'd take it wherever I wanted and the insurance company has to worry about it. I did get a free loan car though, corolla beast

Anyone got the tips for good food joints in Patong? Been there before but only for 4 days 90% of which was spent getting tattooed. I want to eat at all these joints people always talk about where they fed their family with lobster for $3 each... Last time I was there I lived off maccas/HJ's and some chicken from a street market (which was delicious), but keen to get some variety this time as I'll be there for 2 weeks
