  1. do you have an oil catch can? Does it get filled with oil from overflowing? or do you have any trouble with the extra oil in the system? RellikZephyr
  2. sweet thanks what power gains do you usually get from just a ECU upgrade? right now my gtr is in the shop getting a microtech ltx12 ecu with bosch coils and an ignition pack installed i know it really depends on tune and tuner just curious is all And should i play with the tune of the new ecu for a while or grab some adj. cam gears and play with that?   4. oh yes the baffle is far better option but an extra litre of oil is a lot cheaper im guessing thats why people do it i will be putting a Tomei Baffle in my Gtr but its not as cheap as you might hope 200 odd for baffle then fitting requires removing sump and as you may remember the front diff is part of the sump in Gtr's lots o fun oh well like gtrchick said if your gonna do something may aswell do it properly RellikZephyr
  5. damn some of those numbers sound high for the mods makes me a little worried i got turbo back 3" exhaust, pods, 13psi and made 195rwkw that normal? RellikZephyr
  6. i have heard of people doing this on track days to decrease the chance of oil starvation from cornering,braking etc apparently works a charm but is a bit messy via lots of blow-by i.e oil catch can will prob have to be emptied afterwards cant see it being very neccessary for everyday driving never had an oil problem with my gtr but oil systems are known as a weak point due to age Hope that helps RellikZephyr

  9. i have stock BOVs with mounts and little bit of piping off it i also have one part of intercooler piping cant remember where from i think comes out of intercooler itself on intake side will take some photos for ya to give you an idea of what im talkin about PM if interested RellikZephyr

  13. its all good reconected pipe and all is good and its ok i used to own a VL Calais....GTR was the next logical step for me Thanks again peeps
  14. basically when i have stopped and am starting to move again turning i.e stopped at a set of lights to turn when i start moving i get shuddering but stops when i either go straight or when spped /revs increase is especially bad in reverse sometimes (think cause the turn is tighter) now it feels like it coming from the diff (like diff chatter i.e tight diff, but i got stock diff) and as soon as i put the clutch in again shudder stops immediately so only happens when on load the particulars are R32 GTR, i recently changed gearbox (sychros gone in old box) have checked power steering fluid was a low but i filled it and prob still there could it be pump?? and i know something is wrong with 4wd sometimes when start car 4wd light will come on and 4wd will not work to fix it can just turn car off and on again and all good. could shudder be 4wd related? or hicas?? i will locking hicas soon so that wont really worry me also i can feel a massive loss in power think due to 4wd slippage but example my mate owns a VR HSV GTS i used to kick the pants off him in a drag like 3-4 car lengths type thing now with rolling start (remove my traction advantage) me on 3k just before boost we are even now he only has 180rwkw and i should have 200+rwkw (zorst,filters and 14psi) any ideas?? also boost seems to be lagged more but thought might be cause i put silencer back into zorst (creating back pressure = lagging boost) full boost used to hit by 3500 now hits at 4000-4500rpm. will be fitting EBC on wednesday so hopefully should fix that Sorry for long post thanks peeps RellikZephyr

  16. ok i was giving my R32 GTR a bit of a flog (as you do) just come out of one corner and heading to the next and was about 5k in 3rd then POP (a jolt of deceleration) so as you do you go into What The F@%K mode then after that i find it still idles the same and drives the same until..... about 3k (where boost usually is) and it begins to sorta cough and pretty much wont rev any higher i am yet to pull off the exhuast to look for remains of turbo in cat (as it happened JUST now) just want to make sure that it sounds like my turbo and i havent done any Major damage and i have done a search and couldnt find anything is anyone else finding the search not really doing it job anymore? Well Damn!!! ....but it looks like its could be time for some GT-SS's Thanks RellikZephyr

  25. well i found some gtr BOVs thanks to the people who replied quickly and guess what..... LOW AND BE HOLD......again NOT the problem anyone got any ideas? i can not for the life of me find what is actually raising the idle once again i come groveling to the people of SAU please help if anyone has a suggestion im more than happy to try it (cause im out of ideas) Thanks.....again RellikZephyr
