  1. Spotted an Aston Martin GTS DB7, plates I think "GTS.555", down Princes Hwy, traveling next to me all the way from Huntingdale to Burke Rds. Had the wedding stripes on the front, this thing sounded mental too, pretty sure it had a woman driving. Sometime near 1pm. Then, at around 2pm, a gray Lamborghini Murcielago on Toorak Road near Grange Rd, signature plates "LM", this was by far one of the hottest cars I've ever seen, the exhaust looked like you could fit bodies inside it! The guy driving it was loving the attention. And another 500m down the road crossing over Orrong Rd, a beautiful red Ferrari 599 GTB, vintage plates "359", heading towards the city. Had a nice blond chick in the passenger's seat from what I could quickly see. I'm yet to decide which car turned me on the most, LOL
  2. Spotted today a 2007 Mercedes CL63 AMG (plates VCL630) down Springvale Rd all the way from Maroondah Hwy to Monash Fwy, never seen one of these in person before, they look sensational! And driving next to that, a circa 1970-80 DeTomaso Pantera GT5, never seen one of these before either. Probably the toughest sounding car I've ever heard. Absolute head turner. Plates something like XXXGT-5. EDIT: Looked exactly like this
  3. It looks more like a 350Z, and the last I looked, that's not a Commodore. Non manual? DSG is even better than manual -- true super-cars of the 21st century have all gone this way so why shouldn't Nissan? No "etesa"? It has ATTESA E-TS all wheel drive. It has 353kw and 588nm torque from a VR38DETT (3.8 litre twin turbo DOHC V6) engine; in my opinion, this will not only be "true" to the GT-R image, but will enhance it. Its going to be roughly half the price of a Porsche for the same performance around a track, to me that sounds exactly like what the next GT-R is and should be all about.
  4. inark; you're a gem, couldn't agree more with what you've said. Well done. Having only copped 2 fines in 6 years of driving, one was for doing 104 in a 100 zone, I understand how stupid these speed limits have become, and if anyone wants to argue with me that getting a $150~ fine for doing 4km/h over the limit in a 100 zone can't be blatant revenue raising, then you're just delusional. I copped the fine, paid it, and moved on. Do the same. For what it's worth, you're not the only one it has happened to. Unfortunately this is how things are now. Good luck with everything.
  5. Mine's auto. I first bought the car over 2 years ago and planned to have it as a daily driver but then the modification bug bit me and so it became a weekend-only car. I wish it was manual now and my next car will be, without a doubt. I've found myself driving it a lot in tiptronic mode and its only on long, boring straights I leave it in auto mode. Sometimes it can be funny when you forget you've got it in manual mode and forget to gear up and rev the hell out of it Besides, modding a manual is MUCH less painful than an auto...
  6. I think, from what I remember reading, the Evolution model is coming out something like 2 years later and so they haven't set its price yet.
  7. Well, it's more like the problem is that governments keeps encouraging people to spend by giving yearly tax cuts, baby bonuses, no stamp duty for new home buyers, spending more in the budgets and pushing up costs, etc etc... then coupled with low unemployment, a rising stock market, tax breaks on superannuation and the resource boom, of course people have money to burn and that is what's causing so much price inflation. What makes it even worse is the banks loan out money to anyone and everyone, especially people it knows it shouldn't be giving more money to, causing credit bubbles for a lot of people who can't repay the money they've borrowed not only to buy rising house prices, but for things like TV's and cars and other luxury goods, and they have to pay even more interest on repayments they can't make. Companies are just as much to blame as all levels of governments (from local to state and federal) and even individuals for not saving and just persisting to spend all on growing credit. Plus, the lower Australian dollar making it easier to import more goods and spend even more money, then lets not forget the price of petrol, the drought pushing up prices on agricultural goods, a growing population with little increase in housing causing the housing problems and pushing up rent/land prices... Anyway, that's my lecture on economics
  8. Serious question here, but why is an inline 6 better than a V6 when turbo'd? Is it just better air flow into the turbo and therefore better response, or is it more technical?

    Clearing A Defect

The law clearly states that you can only have ONE intake modification. This CF air box is a modification, and you already have a FMIC. That is TWO intake modifications you have. How is that legal? If it's not standard, then it's a modification. However, if what you're arguing is that you won't get caught, well that's a different story. It still doesn't make it legal because you hid it, no matter how you spin it. The law is clear on this and if you get a smart cop pull you over, then you're back to square one. Just make it legal from the start for what the effort's worth, it could save you time/money in the future.

  15. Hey guys, I'm selling my Apexi Power FC + HC to suit an R34 GTT. I've had this for over 6 months now and never used it before, it's still in the original box as I had a change in plans for my car. I know it's a rare find to buy these as they're discontinued, especially unused ones. Selling for $1399.00 + $20.00 freight Australia wide. May consider pick up if in Melbourne area depending on location etc. Don't bother offering less as I won't accept it. The item's listed on eBay as well so first in gets it. Any questions, please PM or post. Cheers guys. Steve
  16. Love the front bar, I'm thinking of getting some side skirts and a rear wing for mine so if you don't want the wing, I'll take it Honestly I'd put the wing back on, I have seen some 34's without wings and they look pretty damn nice, but I dunno... either way I like. Is your colour actually black or is it a dark blue like mine? I can't actually tell! As for lowering it, I'm affraid to do it to mine, the cost versus the benefits don't make it seem like it's a good idea IMO. I drive in some parking lots and side streets with some very bad speed humps so it would worry me doing it, even on 18's. Anyway I love the front bar, looks shit hot

    World Cup!

Martin Tyler was right in his call about the controversial Japanese goal, it was utter BS and good on him for speaking out about it. Every call he made that night was cynical about the referee's and he had good points about their lack of experience. This is a World Cup game which makes or breaks entire teams (and countries), the best available referee's should be on field, which Tyler was stating and was 100% correct about. Australia won in the end so it makes no difference now. GO AUSSIES!!!
