dont think iy will suit. i know the one u are talking about. but a bosch 040 one would be the go before the 911. i ordered one from 6boost off the performanceforums, but something happened with it in the mail. 3 weeks ago, and i am still waiting on my refund. starting to piss me off big time.

go off what boostd has done. he got 216rwkw out of the stock turbs, and as soon as he upgrades that or if he does, he is guarnatied to reap the rewards of smart modding. he has a lot of good gear from what i read on his thread. stock turbs he ran 12.9. rev210 has another example too, if you read his posts. dont go spend big on stuff if you are not going to complement that mod with another. e.g, no good getting a massive set of injectors, if you still running the stock fuel pump. 1 mod is always linked to another in most case, which makes it hard money wise to sort and plan it out. laters

Dump pipe replacement (the best way?)
dabigbolf replied to dabigbolf's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
hey cheers, yeah had a screamer pipe decided to sell it, would have been to much trouble with cops. one piece from the turbo to cat might be the best option. cheers. after reading the post of boostd who ran 12.9 with the stock turbs, i am excited. 213rwkw, is awesome. In my car, that could even go close to 12,'s. well maybe not . but sounds good on paper. should have car started by this weekend. and then send off for cooler setup. going the front plenum, seems to be the best option at the moment, and i'll go the 2.5 inch piping. will keep ya updated. oh shutting the bonnet, is another problem. DOH. no need for partition near air filter i guess. all open to atmosphere. cool air ats its best. -
bringing thread back to life. out of interest how did that cut and shut plenum go. i know u'd like to sell it. but it do the job. i am getting one made up. the angle that redirected path the air takes, can that cause adverse effects. not providing air to right cylinders etc. heard people say it starves 1st cylinder, but you know what people say, without any proof and all. just curious.

hey, just wondering whats the best way to get the stock turbo dump pipe replaced, and with what design. whats most effective. Is connecting the wastegate pipe 30cm from the turbo down the exhaust the best way. what pipe size diamtere, of the dump, and rejoining pipe is best. Getting one made up with front pipe. I have heard of the V-brand dump pipes, are they any good. they are a 3 inch dump off the turbo, with no rejoining. cheers if anyone is selling a second hand one, i'd be interested too.

thanks heaps for that. i am not going to do it, till i get the car started, so i can tell if it makes a difference. why do nissan put it there, same question i have about why they have the throttle body in the position they do. should be at the front, makes cooler piping waaaaaaaay easier. should have a front mount too. thats just my bitch. but good bov idea.

Cant get the flywheel bolts undone...
dabigbolf replied to Ender's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
hey, well i have experienced undoing theauto driver plate flywheel. it attributed to 8 of the best stitches. Then i found out about a using the trolley jack bar ontop of the ratchet. Basically get another long ratchet bar for the front bolt. around 40cm, and lean it up against the chasis so its doesn't budge. put a towel underneath so u dont scratch if you want. then just get under the car, and with your trolley jack bracker bar, you car do the flywheel bolts undone. I used the long socket set of ratchets. 17mm, or 19 mm. cant remember. Put pressure on the bar slowly. in the anti clockwise direction, and the bar holding the front bolt, will put force against the crank so it doesn't spin or slip. and the flywheel bolts will come undone. and you should save your self a lot of trouble and 8 stitches. When putting the box off i just put a trolley jack under the plug of the box, and lowered it. I have done this around 5 times now in 2 weeks, for my car. Getting to the top bolt in the difficult place, i just jacked the car up high. (setting trolley jacks on highest setting). And then lower the back of the box, so it goes on angled, and so does the motor. thus you can access the bolt. (if i can do it in the s13 tunnel u can do it). u probly already done it, but felt like typing. hehe. (lining up the clutch with the spigot bush is another story, stuck on that at the moment). -

To4/t3 with standard computer??!?!?!?!
dabigbolf replied to Dawzey's topic in General Automotive Discussion
i think the term "hi flow " as mod to turbos is used a rough description. Some places do hi flows and then other places do HIFLOWs. meaning it all depends on what you want. Different wheels, housings, and other stuff make up the final package. Thats why they vary in price so much. Can get them done for around $800, and then the good ones for $2200. All depends on how much you want to pay, and what power you want it for. one hi flow could produce "x" amount of power, and another hi flow could produce another amount. good for street though. -
quick question, any skyline owner (fuel priming)
dabigbolf replied to dabigbolf's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
the dash warning light comes on, and the petrol signal also comes up. maybe i need my petrol in the tank, but there is still a little. i have checked the fuel pump fuse, and the relay. i am running the r33 auto ecu, with the manual setup. (this shouldn't make a difference i been told. the wires coming off the gearbox, (or out of it i should say ) have nothing to plug into also, the auto box is now out. could this be something. but fuel pump shouldn't have nothing to do with that. Plus the ecu light comes on, which means its a complete circuit basically. Does the starter motor need to be in place? there one wires which i bolted onto the started motor thread (on the back), and the actual clip aswell (black), is the thread closest to the starter has nothing to bolt on, just the bolt. (if it makes sense) -
hey, just wondering what the plugs are coming out of the r33 turbo manual box, and how people who have done auto to manual conversions hook it all up. Is it important that these plugs are hooked up just to start the car, or is it reverse lights, speedo readsing. the lume doesn't have any plugs to go into the box. Is the auto lume missing these plugs. OR are these plugs connected with something off the actuall r33 car lume, and not the motor lume. fuel pump isn't priming and cant work out why. rb25det into s13 conversion. ecu light comes on, and brake lights, indicators, sunroof, mirrors, etc, all work. but cant here that buzzzzzz for the pump. tryn to work out why. cause car will not start unless theres fuel. please help

hey, just a quick question. how do i get spacer off behind the auto drive plate off the crank so i can put my flywheel on. I have a spigot bush to put in, but done know how to get the little spacer off. its for an rb25det motor. cheers p.s am i meant to take the whole thing off including the place where the bolts go in, cause it all seems to be one piece. do i need a new spacer for the manual flywheel.

yeah will be putting a new turbo on, but for now its not worth me getting the big fuel pump. i will not be upgrading for a while. plus need to get cooler piping done, and tailshaft shortened, so could do with the money spent there. anyone got a stock r33 turbo fuel pump located in melb. cheers
