  1. i need the flange which connects the front pipe, to the dump pipe. need asap. will take stock r33 front pipe. but just need the flange really. in melb. cheers
  2. could be interested but for lot less than $500.
  3. hey, got the following stuff for sale. r33 auto box $240 brand new sheepdog bov $240 r33 front rotors for pair $140 r33 crossover pipe $50 r33 stock bov $30 silvia radiator $60 silvia air con condensor $40 ca18 fuel pump $40 located in melb cheers
  4. hehe, this is pretty funny. i dug up this old old thread. and now everyone wants pics. when the pics were working it looked the goods. was a fare while ago, maybe thats why ics have been taken down.
  5. if you were going to plumb it back you would put a hose over the nose (just like the stock bov does). in my opionion not really worth it, and defeats buying this type of bov. better off getting a plumb back turbo smart, ot something like that, where it can only be plumbed back. its still for sale by the way.
  6. yeah they bark at you. huff and puff, and when you dont treat them right, they even cry. really hi pitched squel. ehehe nah man, just the name. more or less just a pssshhh type sound. bit different to most.
  7. there were numerous people interested. however no one was in melb. thus the cost of shipping something that weighs around 50 kg's is bloody expensive. you probly never though of that did you. thus people bought one in there own state. have a good one. and thanks for bumping my post, as its pretty old.
  8. i do, not running a bov. let me know if you wanna meet up, i am in south eastern suburbs of melb.
  9. yeah motec top of the range stuff. thanks for that. motec definatley for the serious guys though, explains its awesome reputation.
  10. what happens. do you get better launches or what. is it autronic that has that device. does the computer tell the motor to produce less power, so u dont brake traction, or does the arse end bog down, and just go for it. i have heard people throw the word around but never asked how it works. is it costly.
  11. well for 29 k (in the us currency thats what 58 k australian), you should have heaps and heaps of change left over. as for lag, i was talking about the massive turbos t88 or whatever. but you get that when you wanna make the big power i spose. worth it when it comes on boost. take pics, and post em up, always good for progress.
  12. hmmm, well basically not to tight, just first i ever heard of it. i shell speak to the guys doing it, as i would never have thought of that question to ask. cheers and i let you know how i go. also getting the plenum refaced (so that should be interesting), i know sydneykid, but its worth a try, and will save me a few headaches, and they guarantee it will work the way they are doing it. so worth a try i reckon.
  13. damn, thats gotta suck. 300 rwkw in a s14 should be fun still, but remember you gotta stop aswell, brakes would be important. and also a twin plate clutch or something. starts to add up. but go for it, if you got the cash. i think i read you were going for street use, and if you can't have the rb26 as a twin turbo, then maybe it wont be the best for street use. Cause if you are after a big single turbo, then they may have a heap of LAg. rb25 with say a gt30 (which i think Fuzz has on a video on another thread, on 17psi made 300 rwkw). and that was on boost by 4500 rpm so not too bad. i am not sure, will be good fun though.
  14. hmm, not really sure. but if you really want your to shift quicker theres a place where my brother is getting is vl turbo auto box rebuilt, with 3000 rpm stally, and basically toughen up the box completely. New bands, pumps, shift kit, full manualised. The guy is pretty popular amongst the vl turbo guys, on the forums. think the place is in dandenong. Place called ratco. does at them a reasonable price compared to the high name palces, like yarra valley autos, which are a bit expensive for most people. I think my bros is getting done for around $1100 (but he already has the stally). thats installed i think too. will thump into gears like hell, and with a mini spooled diff, should be some fun, on launches.
  15. would it be fare to say that if you are chasing 300 rwkw reliable the rb26 is the best option. (as it can handle the power, without opeing up the bottom end (thus cost would be less in the end, compared to rebuilding rb25) and would it be fare to say the best option would to just get a hold of an r32 gtr, and just do the basic mods, of turbos, cams, exhaust, injectors, etc. (would it work out cheaper, i am not sure) Unless you like the idea of going through the conversion, and getting a fully rebuilt r25, or big single turbo rb26. But it just seems a lot of money to throw at a motor, when chasing 300 rwkw. And the price to put an rb26 would not see much change from around 15 k, if you did it properly. With changing over sumps, custom tailshafts, engine mounts, crossmember, fuel pumps, radiators, cooler piping, wiring it all up. Just dont reckon the rb26 conversions are worth the money, when gtrs are getting cheaper these days. Cause the cost of labour is high, and getting a person who knows what they are doing can be hard. just a thought, cause i know if i had a chance to turn back the clock, i would have just bought an r33.( i say that now though) :bahaha:
  16. i dont think they are making a whole new sump, just where it hit the sway bar, they are gonna modify it. its not being made shallower, just a bit wider. as for a new sway bar, to get one made up would cost a shit load. i dont know what they are doing reallly, but something like that. will post some pics when it all done. cheers and i'll ask em about the pickup. the specific steal its made out of is rare as. i let you know how i go, but the guys ahve done it before, so should be fine.
  17. so on full boost by 3500 rpm. and on 17psi. that is awesome.
  18. neergnevets, just inform people that these pumps are only good for 200rwkw. its missleading to say they are worth 500 hp, or can handle that. i bought one and then found out it wasn't rated at 500 hp. the 255 litres an hour is an no pressure. but when you are on boost and when you car is most likely to blow up it only can only run 185 litres per hour. If its a different pump than the in tank silvia one then i am sorry. but just so people know what its really rated at. still a good pump for the price. but 200 rwkw isn't that hard to churne out in the rb25det
  19. hey, getting my sump modded so that i can lower the engine right down in the bay with the new mounts. basically reshaping the base so it doesn;t hit the front sway bar. can anyone see any problems in doing this, as i believe that oil is pretty important part of the engine. the guys doing it, basically said they are going to wing it around the side, which means making it wider, rather than longer. cheers any comments welcome
  20. expect to pay an autoelect around $50 an hour.
  21. rb26 in a r31 does seem a bit of a waste. go for something much lighter, will be heaps more fun. but saying that the 89 gtr's will be available soon with the new import laws, so could pick them up much cheaper than you would think. (correct me if i am wrong, but i heard they will go for around 20 k, 89 model that is) just what i got told with the 15 year old law
  22. good stuff. there was a dyno day here in melb last week for the commodore club. A vh 253 pulled a whopping 24 kw at the treads. Was pinging so bad. everyone laughed at the poor bloke. with your gt30 turbo you running an external gate, and what sort of time does it come on boost by, would be lots of fun when it does.
  23. if you get one on a street car, you will not enjoy driving your car at all. not due to the noise, but always looking out for the police. it is loud, makes car sound very tough, but one where the pipe plumbed back into the dump further down is just as effective if you are running an internal wastegate.
