  2. Does the old RSM have the de-limiter function in it like the new ones??
  3. Just got off the phone with Jim.....wow he really does love a good chat! Top bloke though, really seems to know what he is talking about. Ordered a modified R33 GT-R clutch for my 34 GT-T with 3300lbs clamping pressure, whatever that means haha. Will see how it goes once I get it.
  4. Hi guys, I've got an R34 GT-T with a stock suspension setup and over the last few months the ride quality has been going from bad to worse and now it just feels like the car is falling apart when going over any bumps at all, not to mention the majority of the shitty roads around melb. All I can hear these days is the boot rattling around like the rear wing is going to fall off and now the front is starting to sound quite bad too. However, I took the car to Pedders in Hawthorn and got a 28 point check done and they said everything looks fine. They said the stop boots (not sure what they are?) are a little worn but nothing to worry about overall. They also said the shocks were fine and didnt know what was wrong. Anyone have any ideas? I was thinking about replacing the setup with some coilovers perhaps, or maybe getting some bilsteins and spings from the SK group buy. Does anyone think replacing the stock stuff would cure it....or could something else be seriously screwed? Any help is greatly appreciated....this is driving me insane! Nothing worse than your car sounding like it has arthritis and rattling all over the place over minor bumps :-(
  5. Thanks for that chook, will see how I go this week.
  6. Hi guys, I need to get a new set of anti-squeal shims for my front brakes. I've seen the thread with info on the part numbers from nissan for the R33 fronts. Just wondering if anyone knows if these part numbers would be the same for the R34? Otherwise, does anyone know what the part number for the front shims would be? Thanks in advance. Suj
  7. Thanks fellas, I'll give the brute force method a try then :-)
  8. Hi all, I am trying to change the passenger side xenon bulb which blew recently. I had no problem changing the drivers side as the screw which holds the black circular cover in place was not there. On the passengers side however, the screw is still in place and from inspection seems to have a unique looking head type. Has anyone had to remove this screw before, and if so, how did you do it??? Any help would be much appreciated, need to change the bulb ASAP. (and yes, I have searched) Thanks in advance!!
  9. I had the same pads fitted and they've left off the shims too as the pads were too big (QFMs). Squeals like nothing I've ever heard before....its insanely bad even with the windows up. I'm going to try sanding the pads down a little at my mate's workshop and fitting the shims back in after a bed-in session and see how it goes
  10. Is it ok to file down the pads a little? This would be much the same as them wearing down through hard braking right?
