  1. was a great day out, i kept poping cooler piping though
  2. 500hp 25/30 drove from the Gold coast to melbourne and back, not all light driving, every single tank of fuel i refilled at 420-440km's and i hadnt hit the fuel light yet, try not to drive it if its just short trips so i wouldnt know a figure around town... however... same motor... 630hp on E85...dont ask.
  3. using the new GTX turbo (3582 equivilant, .86rear) my car just pushed out 630rwhp on e85, 27psi. will post a dyno sheet today. all my mod's are in my build thread... extreamly happy!! maxed out the baby turbo though, specially the .86 rear. however i have a huge playing field with boost since it still comes on VERY early. as i said...will post up the dyno sheet ASAP CJ
  4. Yeh its 2x 044 fuel pumps with a 2.5L surge tank. car just pushed out 630rwhp using the new GTX turbo on e85, still the 35series with a .86rear on it, 27psi. think thats the max the little .86 rear can do, as we tried 2-3psi more and didnt gain anymore power. still...630rwhp is a great effort for the baby turbo! big thanks to the guys at mercury! CJ
  5. Dont ask about the clutch. end of story. bit of a squirt yes... umm...on track of course. reason for the road trip...i always wanted to drive my car along the great ocean road... just once, was a great experience but now that it is done i wont be driving that car down there again. DVS32R - Also tried Filling the Sump up an extra 1L of oil...didnt work. Riley - because iv gone for a new turbo and E85tune, which was always the plan, so i just had it all ready for when these come along.
  6. ok so a few months later... New twin plate in the car, little harder to drive then the Jim Berry but feels good at the moment. car is sitting on about 490atwhp, just finished driving it from the gold coast to melbourne and back again, EVERY tank of fuel i filled up at 420-440km and the fuel light wasnt on yet... so fairly decent fuel economy for the power it has... Did a bit of a highway squirt and lost oil pressure at about 7,000rpm in 5th gear... light came on just as i grabed the key to shut it off, just as i went to turn the key pressure came right back up to normal, scared the hell out of me, so now getting rid of the N1 oil pump and putting a ASR 8.5L sump in there with a Nitto oil pump (purely for peice of mind). also doing a E85 tune and hoping to get close to that 600hp goal i originally wanted, will be a stretch out of the baby 3540 turbo with .86rear... CJ ps... anyone on the goldcoast brisbane area own a supersnake mustang 2009+ or a 2010+ srt8??
  7. Hey guys, after a recommended auto electrician on the gold coast that is able to help me out... i dont have an alarm on the car but i have central locking and immobilizer, currently its not unlocking, i can get in by using the key, car battary is fine and so it the battary in the car remote... i havnt changed anything on the car recently that would affect it except changing my car battary, which afterwards i took the car for a drive and stoped a few times so it was still working after that... i want to take the car to chris rogers but cant get it out of the garage now :S and he doesnt do work outside his shop unfortunatly... any help would be appreciated! Thanks CJ 0423 557 027
  8. arrr damn, exactly what im after except in a more aggresive offset on the rear good luck with the sale!
  9. mines up and running.... kinda... not happy. but im dealing with schoolies at the moment so car's can take a backseat.
  10. i still dont have my car back... so i cant make it sorry
  11. Stop replying, your just giving everyone the confirmation regaurding there comments about you...
  12. hmmm id suggest enjoy the car for what it is at the moment and do plenty of research! i wouldnt run 16psi on a standard turbo.... and 450-500hp isnt really a cheap exercise
  13. umm this might be a stupid question but... on say a modified car, if you were to run 2 cats would it do the job better? other then a big restriction in flow... the second cat mighten heat up to the required temp?
  14. you balanced the crank, but when doing that did you put on everything attached? back to the clutch? front to the balancer? 7500rpm should be fine, just do some head work
  15. spose, i just usually build somethign to last, and i would never use a standard bottom end. bearings ect are a few hundred, machining, balancing, crank collar, all the other extra's. hell i even clearanced my own bearings and all. 25gearbox to hold it up, theres another 2grand. but if we are talking about a "budget" build, im still convinced of buying a 2jz halfcut with a box and with left over money throw it at some add-ons.
  16. yeh got it, interesting read, without much of a conclusion.... mine will be out monday to see what happend, in my frustration of the clutch dieing i bought another car... lol. *facepalm* hope to have it back in a week. ill be posting pics of the clutch ect on my build thread for you to see. anyways, back on topic
  17. yeh, maybe you should just try and put a price up on those wheels.... or go back to BC
