  1. Car was full de-badged before painting, Cant paint around badges Is an excellent job with everything off inc doors to paint the edges and shut faces properly. The car has orange peel standard, so does my mum's (V35's dont have the best standard paint) It is now alot smooth how paint should be!
  2. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/V3...53#entry3932053 Pics here!
  3. OHhhh yeah, also shaved the front bar and filled in the 6 holes behind the black mould. Has 12 months rego and has full service books, spare key, everything!
  4. Hi Guys finally got a couple of pics up. As you can see colour is alot deeper and has more metallic and pearl in it. Car changes to be alot more purple under light then the standard colour. Best of all the orange peel is reduced by far and it just looks fresh! Has been painted in and out including boot but not engine bay. (stops under rubbers) Wheels are on, Door handles and badges are also all on, The trust exhaust is on and so are a few little interior parts as well. Hope you guys like but i think it came out pretty well. Just going to lowwer it a bit and tint the front windows to match. If anyone may be interested car is for sale need to put the money into house.
  5. Best insurance company is famous for imports. My V35 insured for 35k is only 1700 and im 21!
  6. Not many people seem to see the most important point here, Holden are not aiming this car at you! They do now expect people who drives skylines etc to buy it. They probably dont even expect people under 40 to buy it. This car is aimed at older guys who remember the first HSV's, maybe they could not afford one then, maybe they had one then and want another more modern example. By keeping it simple in many ways this vehicle appeals to its target audience. They want a "real" manual. they want the raw feel and most of all they want a Holden. Sure there may be other cars out there, even better cars but they may not have the same appeal to the people that will buy the 427 HSV. Most probably the buyer might already have a M3, porsche etc etc. Really dont think you are seeing the point of the car. It is going to be a collectors car for the enthusiast.
  7. Just be carefull and have the car fully checked if possible. Get it up on a hoist and make sure there has been no previous damage etc. Kms are not really a problem unless it has not been well maintained.
  8. Well i suspect alot of his speedos were "corrected" we were getting some cars with worn steering wheels, seats etc etc saying they had only done 30,000kms. May i ask what you payed for this? sure R34's have come down but this should still have cost you around $55 to $65000 compled and on the road. Did he offer you any other cars, usally holds alot in stock especially evo's, R34 and S15.
  9. Looks like an Import from Eddy, Did this car come form importer? Did it come with any documents etc etc? Have it well checked and make sure kms are correct. We use to do compliance for this guy.
  10. Make: Nissan Model: V35 Premium With SUNROOF Milage: 18,000 Colour: Blue Location: Sydney, Hills area Complied? Yes Currently registered? NSW Price: $37,000 Contact: 0400 841 142 Comments / Modifications: Hi Guys thinking of selling my V35 Premium Skyline and getting something cheaper. Details of the car: 2003 V35 Premium with Black Suede and Leather Interior Bose Premium sound and Sat Nav SUNROOF (very very rare) 18,000kms Other optional parts on the vehicle: Infiniti Badges Infiniti Scuff plates Nismo Clear front indicators Infiniti Chrome door handles Other non Standard Extras: Trust Exhaust system Zenetti wheels measuring 20x8.5 front and 20x10 on rear with Yokohama tyres. Car was originally blue and has been resprayed blue again with a little more pearl. This is not due to damage or past repairs but the paint did have quite a bit of orange peel standard (very common in the V35) so it was re sprayed. Front number plate holder was also removed and all 6 holes in the front smoothed over so it looks like the US version. Car has long rego and woudl have to be the cleanest example of a V35 in Australia. I have all import documents as I imported the vehicle myself. Car can not be faulted and and questions are welcome. Would consider a trade plus cash for the following S15, S2000, RX7 or something along those lines. Thanks
  11. Yes sanding back existing, no not bare metal there is really no need. not one scratch on the car or even a stone chip! Just did not look right, easy to make a show car look right but not suited to a street car.
  12. The fade is out the window, the car is now going to be one colour. The colour is based on the standard blue with more purple pearl and slight other changes. Colour will be changed in boot and door jams as well and engine bay left standard.
  13. The tyres are 245's on the front and 275's on the rear. Sill cant decide on paint going back to the painter tonight.
  14. Car is blue, getting a fade put on it darker as it goes down. You going to pay for 20x10 Jap rims for me?
  15. Hi Guys, Car goes into the painters tonight and the wheels have been ordered. Will be rolling the guards before I drop it off. I know not many people on here will be a fan but thought i would update with the progress anyway. Wheels are Zenetti Mascurade in 20x8.5 on the fronts and 20x10's on the rear. These should fill up the guards and are not too over the top. http://www.ozzytyres.com.au/Content_Common...60-ce14c7137fca Wheels come with removable accents on the spokes, these will be painted the same colour as the car. will probably drive it without them all the time and just put on for show or cruises etc.
  16. 21 so i dont know good taste................... good one champ So a Doluck wide body S15 is not good taste? Tommy Kiara R34 not good taste? R33 GTR Vspec not good taste? JDM aero S15 Show car that made Hot4's not good taste?
  17. Super sports cruiser??? HAHAHAHAHH mate its no AMG merc or M6 BMW think you gettting a bit ahead of yourself. At the end of the day its a 4 Year old Japanese sports car much the same as the 350z. Sure the newer G37 may be a bit more upmarket and if I had one of these there is now way I would do the paint etc but at the end of the day its just a Nissan. Soon as prices of these drop even further there will be alot around with big chrome wheels, paint, leather re-trims etc etc. Ita all about how you do it all and how it looks as a package. Im not going for an in your face paint scheme, stupid looking Tempe rims or anything. Its about being subtle but different.
  18. Mate the paint side is not a problem he has painted heaps of show cars and specialises in 2 tone / Graphics / fading etc etc. He has sprayed. 3KUOUT, 4PERVS, RYTONQ, 2 SUS. As i said paint side is easy.
  19. dont know about chrome, they can look good or terrible. worry about that later.
  20. Sorry mate car will be getting a set of 20's minimum. We put 20's on mums and they dont even look that big. They will be classy rims dont worry not crap.
  21. As far as i know in Aus there is only one L8RSXY. baby blue
  22. ??????? Pics of what? a standard coupe. Its not painted yet
  23. Yeah i know what you guys mean but i just cant leave it stock, after so many done up cars i dont think i can handle just a stock V35 sure its a great car and does everything it is suppose to but i just feel its missing something.
  24. You raise a very good point but one question, How old are you? I myself am only 21. In my family we already have 3 V35's. My mum has a 03 premium with sunroof in red and uncles has a 05 premium also. Yes these cars are great value for money but in stock form they do lack a little in the looks department. Yes both my uncle and mum are very happy with their vehicles and love them to bits but i think it just needs a little more. The paint that would be going on the car isnot wild and starts with a standard colour fading to a darker blue probably from wheel arches down. The car will still look classy and not typical boy racer. The exhaust I have is a Trust and still keeps dual pipes and is not really that loud at all. Is this a case of different ages wanting different things from the same car? I to have all Infiniti parts already from the US including a few interior bits as well not just badging.
  25. Depends what you paying for the respray? the painter is a good friend of mine so its not really that bigger deal.
