  1. Ok, yeah that does look very nice. Cheers for that nick! Ryan
  2. what is your opinion of the quality of the copies that just jap do for gtst's? I am thinking of getting one of them for my car but want to make sure it will look the goods!...Think they are about 500ish. Cheers Ryan
  3. Anyone looked into cheaper prices with group buy by any chance?
  4. Do they look the same though or does it look a bit weird...like they are not the right ones. I am in the same position and will definately do this if they come up allright. Cheers
  5. FMIC is a front mount intercooler. If you post up a pic im sure someone will be able to pick it for you straight away. Cheers, Ryan
  6. Are you sure he did a 13.7 with just a cat-back exhaust....that sounds a bit surprising to me. But anyway yeah did the car feel like it was pulling any harder at any stage with the boost turned up?
  7. well we may never be able to find out i guess, you're word against mine....sounds like you have had some good times up there none the less haha! Video footage would be sweet if you could get it on the net, would of been one crazy ride up there... Just out of curiousity what engine was in your S13? Cheers Ryan
  8. It is a HRCC event though for historic cars (ie Z's) just like all their events at Morgan Park, Mt Cotton QR etc. I guess it would be good though if another club was able to put an event on that newer cars like ours were able to easily get into without hoping to make the "FUTURE CLASSICS" class each year, as the track would be great to go around i reckon. With some of the cars in this site i think we could get some very quick times as well. And NISMO BOY with some proof i would be happy to hand the money over but you'll have to forgive me for not taking your word on it. That Skelta G-force just cracked into the 59's on the sunday and i think was possibly the only road car to do so (if you can call it that - not exactly a daily driver) and the amount of money and research & development that went into that car is phenominal. I have watched this build up as ray was doing it and it is more in the supercar leagues as opposed to a sportscar, it only weighs 700odd kilos and does the quarter mile in the 11's from memory, but with the aim always about all-round performance not straight-line speed. But the challenge is there man, get me some proof and the money is yours! Cheers Ryan
  9. haha $50 says you wouldnt mate. I think you guys underestimate these cars a little. There was a 33GTR with twin 2530's making shitloads of power and what seemed like a great setup going and it was nowhere near the quickest "street" car up the hill, many older cars doing it quicker than he was... And my dad gets a run each year in his datto 260Z and he hasn't sucked anyones dick so to speak and he's definately not that well off so you should get some of your facts right guys, yeah it is a bit average that Mr Abbott gets a run in a lovely RSR porsche each yeah and the road is re-surfaced almost each year just for that event but its still a good event with some incredibly quick cars for their age/technology, i reckon my 32 would be one of the slowest cars if i was to enter :S Was a good day though... Ryan
  10. Thankyou muchly for that craved...very happy to hear that. Just one more q'n, is there any chance that it is a blown fuse that has caused speedo/odometer to stop or can it only be the speedo cable? Thanks again!
  11. thanks for any help by the way! (someone needs to teach me some manners)
  12. I was driving home this arvo when suddenly the hicas light came on, steering went heavy and speedo and odometer stopped working. Looking through old posts on this website on the matter it seems that the speedo cable is broken and if i replace this the speedo will work again, same with the odometer and the hicas will also be fixed. Could i just geta quick yes or no as to wether fixing the speedo cable will fix the hicas/power steering problem as well.
  13. Yeah fair enough, so may be a bit laggier but my car isnt a daily driver, just weekender and getting into the sprints/ track days so it doesnt need the best driveability. Will probably end up going the GCG option though due to ease/cost effectiveness of installation etc. Thanks for replies and if anyone else has opinion/input go for gold! Cheers Ryan
  14. So were you saying that you were very impressed with the 2530's compared to your td06? Sorry, just a bit slow today Cheers!
  15. Thats what i want to hear cos i bought a CES racing twin dump so i'd like to be able to keep it when i upgrade the turbo as it cost me a frekkin fortune. Also keeping standard manifold etc is a huge bonus money wise. Anyone else have an opinion, anyone with a td06 on their rb20?
  16. So the TD06 is capable of 250-280rwkw and the GCG will reach about 220rwkw tops on an rb20? Is that about its limit?
  17. After searching on the internet i was unable to find any turbo specs on the Trust TD06-20G (8cm) and was just wondering how it would compare with say a GCG highflow RB25 or even a 2530. Is it a bigger turbo than the other two or approximately the same. Have seen results where it seems to make a bit more HP than the other two on an RB20 engine. Will it be a bit too laggy compared to the other 2 for a circuit/sprint car on a stock internal rb20? Am looking to make approx 230rwkw Cheers for any help Ryan
  18. The TD06 turbo Wheezy is talking about is that the 8cm or 10cm version? Cheers Ryan
  19. Nah it's just the closest car i could find to mine on the intrnet cos i dont have a digital camera...I've got the GTR bonnet etc on mine just no gtr front bar yet. Thanks for your help
  20. I have been told that if i buy a genuine r32 GTR fornt bar for my gts-t it wont fit properly. So will any fibreglass copy be fine or do i need to make sure that the replica bar is made purely for gts-t's. If it has to be specially made do you know anyone who does this as when i look at replica GTR bars for sale it doesnt state whether its for a GTR or GTS-T...cheers for any info. Ryan
  21. Are you sure you arent confusing it with the 280ZX as the difference between a 240 a 260 2 seater and a 280 are very very minimal. Just small things like the badge on the pillar, grille on rear hatch etc. Shape is the same.
  22. I was able to find out that Rb20DET's have 8.5:1 compression but how do you convert that to psi as i did a compression test on my car yesterday and i was just wanting to see how healthy she is... My readings were 1) 155 PSI 2) 150 PSI 3) 152 PSI 4) 152 PSI 5) 152 PSI 6) 150 PSI Are these low/high? The engine has got 89000clicks on it. Cheers for any help... Ryan
  23. I am not sure about america but genuine 280z's are very rare in australia...most are just rebadged 240/60's with l28's in them! Are they more common in america? I used to have a 240 but gave it up for a skyline...one day i will get one back though...untimate car in my opinion. Very nice car by the way mate!
