  8. Hi all, While the rest of the Exec team is organising the Show and Shine, I've put together the next skidpan day - lets get back to the skidpan/runway in 2010!!! Event: Texikhana, Skids on Sundays Location: Nirimba Airfield/Tafe/Skidpan/same place as last time (yeah its got a few names) Date: Sunday 31st Jan 2010 What is it: Skidpan + Go-to-whoa Lunch: Free to entrants (BBQ and cans of soft drink) Spectators: Free to watch, BBQ will be $4 snag sandwich and $2 cans Passengers: Free, MUST sign on, wear wrist to neck/ankle clothing with enclosed shoes and approved helmet Courses: Released on the day at sign on (the super tight one from last gone wont be returning, ever) Those of you that have been to one of these before will agree, this is the best money you can spend as far as driving time for an event. The event will be run after run until 5pm, and considering most runs are under 1 minute AND that we're kicking off at 9am, thats a lot of runs This is a safe event where you only go as hard as you want to, there's no pressure, one car on a course at a time. Perfect for beginners to have a first try at driving their pride and joy off the streets. With that said, there's usually some friendly competition towards the pointy end of the field from the ACT guys which is great to watch Timing for the day; Scruitineering/sign on starts 7am Scruitineering/sign on ends 830am (dont show up at 825am, come with plenty of time to spare) Drivers brief 840am (mandatory attendance all drivers) Runs start 9am Lunch approx 1230pm depending on how the day is going Runs stop 5pm Gates close 530pm Entrants please note: -All cars must pass scruitineering, no exceptions. -All drivers must be licensed (AASA or CAMS) and show licence at sign on. -All cars must have an insurance approved fire extinguisher secured within drivers reach. -Sidepipes are not allowed. Screamers are also not allowed. No exceptions (this is not my choice, I ♥ gate) -Entries are open now, entries close 9am 27th Jan 2010. -Supp regs and Entry Form are attached. Entry forms without payment will be rejected. -Yes you can join SAUNSW on the day (allow an extra 5mins at sign on) -Yes you can organise an AASA or CAMS licence on the day (allow extra 10mins at sign on) SAUNSW bank details: Bank - NAB Branch - Marrickville Account name - Skylines Australia NSW BSB - 082 356 Account number - 546 393 766 Please put your full/user name in the description, eg "TEXI N1GTR" Cheers guys and girls Entry_Form.pdf Supp_regs.pdf
  9. Yep for sure, although on the flip side if people from other countries didnt send parts there to be copied it would be less of an issue. Both sides are to blame And to stay on topic, ill never run a crank thats a copy of a big brand name. Design it from scratch or dont have anything to do with it IMO
  10. That really takes away from the "rareness" (sorry, lack of decent word) of those kits if everyone has one. Also, there's something not right about just selling copies of other companies products that have spent all the money/effort etc on R&D to only be taken advantage of by people too lazy to make their own.
  11. Ok bought a camera, not long to go now!
  12. Supra, no doubt. They're such a nice car to drive, and no headaches like a gtr
  13. RB30 for being cost effective. But there's probably people that can be lured with a similar price option. I know you said don't ask price, but as a topic for discussion I feel it should be stated
  14. Ive got one, and id be VERY suprised if it fits over those pipes!
  15. Thanks very much Mark, that actually looks 10 times better than the GT3 one up close. Nice to see one being modified, and so young! Dont be afraid to keep us all updated on the GT2, its not a skyline but its still damn fast and everyone here can appreciate a car like that, even if its not a new age datsun Thanks again!
  16. Hey guys, Strange question, i know, but does anyone have the font file that Nissan used for the "RB26 writing on the cam cover on all the motors?
  17. Agreed! Silver can look quite tough though with the right size discs and coloured rims
  18. Ive got GTRS's, i want to swap them for dash 5's in the next month or so. What rear does your set have? Drivability is pretty much perfect as Marko said. Only things id change are turbos and cams Harden up mate, iraqi sand dune nissan patrol racer style right out the bonnet level with the roofline
  19. Any chance of a closeup pic (or 2) of the gearstick please? I love the feel of the 997 GT3 alcantara/suede, and I had assumed the GT2 would have the same material....but it doesnt look like it? You've also made it pretty clear I need to change roles, i'm national sales manager, MD is clearly where a revhead needs to be What does it feel like to drive? Have you taken it through any twisty roads yet?
  20. Easy as, the product sells itself
  21. Funny how that works.....
  22. Any pics of before and after?
  23. Now where did Marko get the idea to use Mahles.....or even RB30......... Yes Mahles are shit hot, same as Argo. it costs a bit more than the spool stuff but IMO its worth it. Id get a JUN pump over nitto, only because ive used them before and have experience with them Good luck with the build!
  24. Btw are you Tony and Bevs mate?
