  1. are there corners?...im out might have to contact Peter at Fuel Control and get him to organise a 205ltr drum of CSR's finest to be delivered to us at the track.
  2. looking for a strain gauge...anyone know of something thats reasonably cost effective?
  3. good sh1t Dave...wick her up mate. My car is coming back with me when i return at the end of the month...Powercruise is in Feb. eh?
  4. all depends on seat pressure vs boost level you are planning to use
  5. yea there is...it works quite well...but the shifter and gearknob is $1000
  6. yeah i always say..."if you can't afford to break it...you can't afford to race it" I think there may have always been an issue with the box...ive only ever got one good pass out of it since ive fitted it. Ill call Simon at PPG tomm. and see if i might be putting the wrong oil in it...just to rule that out.
  7. good price...should sell fast.
  8. easy one...you have a air leak and/or you have lost compression. do a cylinder comp test...if all good chase the air leak with a can of aerostart.
  9. the hole blew out at the rear...right on the bend before the rear muffler....the bang wanted to go straight out not turn the corner and go out the rear. the selector is a PPG billet item...will be re-engineering it to make it stronger. The box itself is a-ok.
  10. port em...make the transition from the manifold to the turbine wheel as smooth as possible.
  11. looks like a new set then eh. are you sure Camtech ones are non VCT?
  12. Good news...while being fuel tested during an event today the ANDRA fuel testing officer informed me they have given approval for CSR E85 to be used in competition. I had a chat to Ben Bray about it who i know is also keen to use it in his 'MR 1200' datto ute. Benny heard during the week and immediately ordered a 205ltr drum for use at the 2nd round of the USA vs Aust Nitro funny car meet on the 16th Jan. Press release due this week. Game on!
  13. yes...i realise this...PM-R33 is correct. inlet or exhaust cam snapped...and what size is the good one.
  14. which cam did you snap...and what size? i may have something on the shelf to replace it.
  15. Ive got a couple of projects going... A full wiring job on a big $$ stadium off roader...(V88 Vi-PEC, MoTeC dash, 1UZ-FE V8 etc) Making the worlds 3rd fastest GTR lighter to have a crack at the record (lots of carbon and a few other goodies) Finishing off a VL drag car (V88 Vi-PEC, 2 x M&W Drag 6 CDI's and coils, 12 injectors etc) ill take some shots and upload them soon. EDIT: and fixing my PPG dogbox i broke today racing.
  16. Held it flat...no clutch...broke 3rd-4th selector in the dogbox. Box out on monday to modify/repair...back racing on the 16th. Back to clutching it...at least then i can bring it home in one piece. Need to purchase the uber expensive ex-HRT ignition cut gearknob and control box if i want to flatshift it. Until then its back to using the clutch to unload the drivetrain between gears. Car is making huge power and sounds like an animal. The anti-lag blew a nice hole in my Trust PE-II exhaust on the dyno the other night while testing it.
  17. on my way to the track right now. tuned and ready to rumble.
  18. your battery didn't have enough grunt now you have fouled the plugs...a fully charged battery and some fresh plugs will have you back on the road
  19. your throttle body is no longer sealing as you have removed the fine film of sealant on the edge of the butterfly. Air is bypassing it causing a higher idle. Even though i may now have made you feel a little silly for 'fixing' something that is not broken...ive also saved you some $$ on a trip to the dyno. Get a good 'uncleaned' throttle body to prove what ive just stated.
  20. i use earls high temp reinforced blue silicone 3/4 line and use the earls flame guard over the top...no danger of failing and much easier to work with than braid. This is the same set-up i use on my racecar and passes quite close to the manifold runners. i think i have some left over from a job...let me know how much you need and i may be able to help you out.
  21. in 17 equal amounts? not having a crack at you...good idea for running this. Just need the rules clearly stated i.e. the total winnings from the ticket purchased will be divided into 17 equal amounts...persons owning more than 1 share in the syndicate will recieve the divided amount times how many shares they hold. People have stooged their own family over lotto wins...not suggesting for a moment you are going to do this but the rules need to be clearly stated to protect both yourself and others in the syndicate.
  22. can you state on here exactly what the split will be...i.e. 17 equal amounts...just for legal reasons. i may be in...if so ill drop cash off.
  23. here you go... http://www.xspeed.com.au/manuals/Greddy_Profec_B_manual.pdf also most of the others people generally need are here... http://www.xspeed.com.au/manuals.php ive already made this site a link in tutorials for everyone...
  24. he is not happy about the following... he added Red Bull to his skyline...cost...$3.50...result...supersonic multi million dollar jet fighter. he then tried a different turbo...cost...$2460...result...243RWKW to remove the skin off his custard. Id be pissed too!! Moral to the story...drink Red Bull and dont eat custard!
